- I was warned about this hotel even before I booked in, but why?.
Second in a series of five hotel reviews from Arenal in Majorca, four were booked as All - Inclusive and one half board, when booking these AI hotels through Booking.com there was no mention on their booking page about alcohol limitations at various resorts and accommodations ( Magaluf. Playa de Palma & Arenal ONLY ) only once booked did a receive an email direct from the hotels explaining the change in the law on AI, this I feel is a cop out for AI Hotels ( LAW = Limit alcoholic drinks in AI Hotels but you can buy as much alcohol as you like from the same hotels bars) this should be mentioned on the booking page next to the AI room charge, tell me what you think.

A nice hotel Paul , puts me off going to Majorca now , stupid law ,, great video once again
Spacious, fresh, clean room and bathroom including dinner and breakfast plus 6 drinks at that price is amazing! I liked it and just can't see why they've had so many bad reviews imo not deserved at all. Loving your attention to detail - looking forward to your next one - thanks!

Nice hotel Paul , love the blue white theme ,, (Greece) saying that I’am. Not a fan of the drink limitations, with ur meals etc … it’s gonna bite em , on the arse , mark my words!!!! X

I love how passionate you are about the 'all inclusive ' fiasco and at least your videos are getting out there to give fair warning. Personally after two Rosé spritzers I'm pleasantly Brahms and Liszt 😂 but I guess it's like ordering a single mattress and getting a yoga mat, if they are going to introduce these baffling rules they need to clearly state this in the booking information not surprised people are pissed off. Lovely room Paul nicely presented, clean and bright. Shame about the weather you had, finally a beautiful day here in Blighty 🌞🎉 the price is extremely good, hotel looks lovely, bad reviews make no sense. Beautiful music very melancholic with an undertone of unease reflecting the all inclusive farce. Take care ❤️ x
The funny thing about my ongoing rant is I hardly drink, but these travel companies are basically false advertising a board basis that you don't get and your paying for it, they charge you more for AI than full board and how can you have only 3 places on an island that has this ruling, and as long as your willing to pay over the bar, the ruling doesn't matter, take care x
Love the videos you do paul showing us wots out there didnr think it was the nicest Hotel as for the all inclusive I don't think it will stop people buying alcohol if they want it they will get it another way for the hotel to make money

@@whoknowswhere There are over 455,000 to a million people in England with undiagnosed autism and an estimated 700,000 with a diagnosis, it is so hard to get a diagnosis, I was using my sons case to try give an example of what I've found it like coming up against a brick wall of not being listened to, I'm know so many people have these experiences so I kind of gave the All inclusive a bit too much gravitas because I have that battle mentality. I ended up deleting because I couldn't adequately get my point across and things like that matter to me. I'm good at factual and funny not so much the serious 😊x
@@pennyblack2707Now I understand why you deleted the comment maybe we all should treat everyday issues in a light-hearted way, sometimes we take things onboard and jump in with unnecessary replies that really have no relevance, I've started to do that with all the negative comments and trolls, life's too short, who are these people anyway. take care x
love your vids ! 🥳🥳 coming to majorca in september..and i was worried sick.. emailed our hotel asking about the all inclusive drinks ..got lovely email back saying..there is no limit to alcohol drinks in the hotel..and as far as she knows its only certain parts of majorca... so can relax now ! ✈️🥰🥳 x

I went to Arenal in 84 on an 18-30 holiday and we stayed at a hotel (pardon me if I get it wrong) Olympic. I wish it had been this one.
When I was there, I found a bar which was run by a Brighton and Hove Albion fan who had a mutual acquaintance in Lancing

I was there for a few Days. And our room was not clean. Very small for 3 Persons, the half of this room. The food wasn't good and the dishes were dirty! The price was ok, but you can still expect more for it!

I stayed there last summer was fine.close to the beach,bars and restaurants.i think the drinks rule is to stop binge drinking.i think having to pay for drinks stop people buying 6 pints at a time and throwing it down their necks.if your paying a small amount more for all exclusive 6 drinks a day is ok

I thought the hotel was beautifully clean. The room was a good size. It's not inclusive just having 6 drinks. You might as well not bother being inclusive.

The all inclusive thing although you have a valid point will stop drunken behaviour as it’s not free . When it’s free you go wild . When you have to pay extra you limit yourself to what you can afford . Usually when we go all inclusive I take like £500 for a week for extras . If I’m self catering I take £1500 at least . So I can see how it stops a lot of drunken behaviour. So it does make sense to me

The room looks really nice Paul, totally agree. The reviews are very bizzare. Don't get me started on the 'semi-inclusive' fiasco again. As you say, it's the drinks which are part of the 'semi-inclusive' which get you drunk, not the charagable ones clearly. I have just checked availability on the hotels own website and the price shown is for all-inclusive. There is no mention that it's 'sort of' inclusive, which I think is wrong. It's misleading.
Hi Richard the more people talk about this, the less will go then let's see what they do with empty hotels, I will certainly not be going to Magaluf or Arenal while they have this ruling
Well on first impressions I think where are they coming from with bad reviews, butttt are all Rooms the same or similar.
Based on what I saw in your video I would definitely book there.
Great price, food looked more that good enough for me, but I’m not really into booking with food because I prefer to get food out Just incase the food is not great after you have paid for all inclusive.
Butttt then again even when you pay for food out there is No guarantee it’s going to be great, unless you know of the restaurants Etc and have experience of them.
I’m not sure what the difference in prices would be for room only, or even if these hotels have a room only price but £66 is a really good price for everything you got.
Not sure when that price jumps up but I’m sure it does soon for June, July Etc and by how much.

The hotel itself looks lovely (although the pool looks a bit small) and I thought the food looked a bit basic, but ultimately I wouldn’t stay in a hotel that adopted this three drink policy. I would vote with my feet and go elsewhere.

They've all got me drunk with or without a meal!They say that food absorbs the alcohol so if true then technically food with a drinks should get you less drunk.
are you going to the bellview in alcudia ? i use to take my kids there twice a year and then it started to get a bit rough i started going to menorca .

Very nice hotel bedroom lovely nice balcony the food 😋 satisfactory if i was staying longer may be monotonous but lots of places to go for food 😋. These all-inclusive hotels don't bother. Just look up the meaning of all-inclusive, including everything and everyone. .maybe false representation people are going to drink no matter what someone is always happy to take your money .😊

I don't drink alcohol so does the 3 drink limit only apply towards alcohol drinks or is it soft drinks too ?
no soft drinks were unlimited but my point was don't advertise AI when you limit the drinks

We stayed at the Bahia De Palma formerly Bahi De Palma by Fergus. It was absolute hell, full of loud noisy young german men, large groups of them, drinking round the pool, supplies bought at the shop across, drunk all day hogging the pool area and coming back early hours again noisy and drunk, the police were called at one point, couldn't get into hotel as they were sat drinking and smoking on the steps. Just to point out that the brochure pic's are artist impression, can assure that it looks nothing like that in reality. Would not go to El Arenal again as the resort was full of these drunken youths.
Stayed at the hotel years ago and agree with you absolutely food rubbish the bread rolls would have broke a window. Also than the hotel had 2 sitting for dinner, and we were 2nd sitting and absolutely no choice. Good job for a cafe down the road. we survived the week just.
I think there're asking for trouble with that tv being on the dressing table, you would only have to knock the table legs and that tv would be on the floor and you'd probably be charged for it! Should be wall mounted.

the desserts looked ok and the room-not much character-like the way you say it as it is-there was fresh fruit etc-how far from the sea? depends how much extra the drink costs? Value for money

Calpe is more of a Spanish town, some hotels and a lot of apartment blocks. Long promenade and beach, nice restaurants and bars. At the end by the big rock is a marina with fish restaurants and on the other side of the rock is a smaller beach. We stayed at the RH Ifach on that side. More bars and restaurants, some advertising full English and beer. It was a Spanish bank holiday so there was more Spanish about and our hotel also had some Saga clients.
@@lparky4409 many thanks that's great info you obviously researched the area very well outside of the hotel which the Spanish are encouraging us to do rather than go all inclusive & not leaving the complex at all it's common sense & for people that do just that you could be in any hotel anywhere in Spain really & not navigating the area whilst being there is senseless
I was looking at the hotel you stayed at was everything to your liking quiet enough at night & good food?
@@rickytelfer2926 hotel was busy when we were there last October as it was a Spanish bank holiday weekend with families. Fairly quiet area but it was late season, so beach was quiet. We stayed in the hotel most nights but the beach bars were fairly busy at night, when we had a walk down, not sure if there were any clubs although I noticed some late nights advertised in the bars. Didn't go into the main town at night though, some guests went out. Hotel food usual buffet style, different meals most nights.

The drink situation is a con designed to save the hotel money. The fact that they don't warn you in advance is an absolute disgrace. Don't book with these hotels go elsewhere.
Does the 3 drinks per meal apply to all the island or just magaluf and arenal.

Looked quite a nice room thought three drinks inclusive dinner and evening meal was only in certain areas areas think the hotels jumping in cashing in I'd rather give majorca a wide berth than get ripped off Paul thanks for sharing ❤❤
Food didn't look great Paul and more of a plunge pool really. 6/10. ❤
Hotel looked ok. Wasnt knocked out with it. Smallest pool i have ever seen was it an after thought?. Food looked nice. Staff need attention to detail around the cereals. The dining room institutionalised again .

Stayed in 2 Bluesea hotels in the Costa del sol with no issues.. Arenal is also a dump.
Wilton okay hotel but didn't like the fact that the toilet was right next to the bar. When you getting yourself washed to clean you don't want to get out right on top of the toilet
TBH I wont go in a AI Hotel beloe 4*reason is the alcoholic drinks are auful you would get the bends before you got drunk ,my daughter and family were in a AI Hotel in Alcudia a nice family Hotel ,well known ,but the drinks were not fit for human consumption none of the spirits didnttast of alcohol and they all tasted the same 😢they were on a budget ,so we took them out to the nearest bar and had a few real drinks ,we got talking to the owner and OMG the things he told us about there hotel drinks situation ,the Beer is 2.5 percent and the shorts are made in 5 gallon drums and are put back in bottle's when they are empty ,wow,no restrictions on quantities but if you pay cash its a different bar completely with branded makes ,its all smoke and mirrors regarding the 6 drinks nothing to do with drunken people its because the Bars are complaining that AI Hotels are killing the bars wich employ a lot ofl people and they are right to complain, dont use Ai guys suport the local bars and restaurants andhave real drinks your on holiday for heavens sake 😊

Those corridors look like One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, hospital corridors. Where is nurse Ratched😂😂😂😂.Paul the rooms nice clean etc but my first impression again is you are in a 1960s psychiatric hospital.
So it's full board being sold as all inclusive? Absolute rip off. Personally I prefer Greece, No such restrictions there and the people seem to be a lot more friendly and appreciative.
Sorry Paul didnt like this one either, very basic, all white walls everywhere, no pictures scroll work , nothing, pool unusual shape very small.
Sorry to be negative this is not a reflection of you, you show the hotel as it is, which is good for people, to decide, the all inclusive has definately changed from.yrs ago, all because of bad behavior in the past 😢
