Agnetha and Annifrid (forgive me if I'm misspelling) had the best harmonies in pop music. Their voices blended so beautifully. It was like a top of the line gin and tonic.
ABBA hit it big in the 70's! You have a lot of songs of theirs to listen to....they're all hits! These ladies can be your Grandma's right now....this was their time, I really think the kids now a days have missed out on great times and music!
GREAT REACTION! 8 albums and 28 hits. There is nothing like their sound - dig in! Next, check out Voulez-Vous (Do You Want To?), "The Winner Takes it All" Does Your Mother Know That You're Out." They were a pop band but they were worshiped like rock stars!
I noticed that in the official video from 1979, only the first part of the song was recorded (the full version wasn't even recorded!). They left out the bridge in the music video, which is actually included in the second part of the song! Check it out yourself and listen to the ABBA Gimme!, Gimme!, Gimme! Gold version or on the Voulez-Vous record of the ABBA You Tube channel, there you can clearly hear the bridge or second part of the song and that's the completed one.
Thanks so much. I grew up with Abba (born in 1971) and they deserve every praise going. Yes, they have so many different types of songs, and Agnetha and Frida were fantastic singers.
Abba is the #2 group all time behind the Beatles. They absolutely dominated the 70's worldwide. You saw how the Beatles "invaded the US". Check out the documentaries about Abba's reception in Australia! Crazy good! And so many #1 hits! Until recently there was a long running Broadway show from their song Mamma Mia, which was also turned into a movie, so their influence is still being felt decades later!
This is from the 1970's. I know. I was there. ABBA always ahead of it's time. Their songs never sound alike, every song is different. Listen to "Does your mother know?" " Voulez vous" "On and on and on" " Lay all your love on me" just for starters. Enjoyed your reaction very much.

Abba, to this day, was one of the biggest groups ever. In most of the world, they rivaled the Beatles. Hello, how good to see you again after a long time I don't think you remember me among so many posts and subscribers. That's why I briefly remind you I wrote to you about a month ago in your video about the song "Too much heaven" by the Bee Gees I told you that with her they crowded a concert to benefit UNICEF and donated the royalties from the songs they and the other artists who participated There I told you about ABBA and that that same night they premiered "Chiquitita" and I left you the link and you thanked me a lot, and told me that you were going to check it well, I am not here to reproach anything. On the contrary, I am happy that you have accessed ABBA and that you have enjoyed it with this great song "Gimme gimme gimme (a man after midnight)" is from 1979, the recording is before touring North America and Europe for two months If you see them happy in the studio enjoying recording, even more so, you will see them enjoying that tour that was unforgettable A special comment on this video: is the only one where you see the four of them (and other musicians) in the recording studio, playing and singing The other official videos of his other songs are not in the studio or show them in other situations At that time of this video the blonde singer Agnetha and the guitarist Björn had separated at the end of the previous year (with two little children) The two singers have voices of excellence The brunette Frida is a mezzo soprano and stands out in the bass, like: "Fernando" or "Super trouper" or "Knowing me knowing you" Agnetha has a soprano voice, shines in the highs and sensitive songs, like "S.O.S.", "Chiquitita" or "The winner takes it all"
I do remember you!! I couldn’t remember which song you wanted me to react to I’m sorry! Of course I remember you gave me the really informative comment on The Bee Gees reaction video! Oh yes I gotta check it out then cause besides the vocals, and music that was my favorite thing about the actual video I love seeing people enjoying what they’re doing! I love that they included one anyways cause it was beautiful to see them enjoying the music, and getting lost in it, and see a bit behind the scenes! Ahh again giving me the inside scoop I love it, thank you! Yeah I was gonna say they balance each other out cause frida sings lower register, and Agnetha sings higher so it just flows so smooth I love it they blessed my ears thank you for recommending them cause I could remember someone told me to react to them and when I was trying to think of who to react to it popped into my head, and I’ll be sure and check out Chiquitita soon! 💙
@@SavyReacts Oh! What a pretty surprise! thank you very much for your delicate words I know that it is very difficult to read so many comments, suggestions, requests, much more to choose and please, and much more to remember after a few months Thanks again for that pampering I go to the last In that Bee Gees video I left you the link of Chiquitita in its world premiere that night at the United Nations and for the benefit of Unicef here I leave it to you the link, with an introduction with all artist performing the chorus of 'He is your brother': ua-cam.com/video/oMIw_y9uRT8/v-deo.html I will make another comment separately Thank you very much for your deference and warm response I wish you a great week my regards from Argentina
Thanks for the ABBA. It's not hype, it's fact. If you really want to see her hit that note react to this song from their Wembley concert in 79. You'll really get to see how much control Agnetha had/has. Great clip.
@@SavyReacts all songs in London 1979 sound amazing! for example Gimme gimme gimme Summer night city Dancing Queen Waterloo and the ending "Does your mother know" & "Hole in your soul" two songs in row with 8 minutes of all energy powerfull and high level
If you want a quick introduction to a lot of Abba songs I would say this is the best you can watch, even if it is not Abba singing... It is a list of the top 20 musical numbers from the two Mamma Mia movies. Some Abba fans dont like the movies because the actors are singing, but I think mostly they sing ok and when they sing bad it is intentional. And it shows that the lyrics have substance that it was possible to make 2 movies based on them without changing a word except for small changes in some lesser known songs in the second movie. m.ua-cam.com/video/OA5lpafsD8c/v-deo.html Björn and Benny was responsible for the musical score and the recordings with the actors and also make cameos Björn in when I kissed the teacher and Benny in Dancing queen.
appreciated your reaction video....should you choose to go down the ABBA rabbitt hole, might I suggest The Winner Takes It All, Knowing Me Knowing You, Chiquitita (UNICEF Concert), SOS, Fernando, Does Your Mother Know (Bjorn takes a turn at singing lead), My Love My Life.
Well if I don’t stop it I take a chance on getting my videos blocked and that wastes an entire reaction and I’m not doing that anymore and it was like a half second left in the note it’s not that serious lol I mean you act like I’m never going to listen to the song ever again when I’ve already listened to it at least 7 times since yesterday lol
@@SavyReacts you miss the point. There’s more natural points in the song to stop the music. I love reaction videos personally but so many people get put off them by the stopping of videos mid note or mid word. There’s plenty of instrumental parts!
@@discogareth solid point Gareth it’s hard for me to find those points because if I literally don’t pause every 30-35 seconds my video is at higher risk of getting blocked I’ve waited to pause like 40 seconds in videos and it got blocked and sometimes I get lost in the music then I realize oh shoot I need to pause, and at that point it doesn’t really matter where I pause to me as long as I do it but it’s something I’ll try to work on, and get the timing right between pauses! I’m sorry I wasn’t trying to be rude I just have had a long day, and I have a massive headache! But I get where you’re coming from!
They have such an awesome discography. Please react to The winner takes it all, Knowing me knowing you, Lay all your love on me and The day before you came. Just to get started. :)
This one is from 1977 not the eighties. But ok they where ahead of their time! To bad the videoclip version is without the bridge. I never inderstood that. But ABBA is the second most succesfull band in history 22 worldhits and a lot more album tracks that should be a hit if they released it as a single! Hope you react to a lot of them! They are all completely different. The winner takes it all, knowing me knowing you does your mother know, the name of the game, the day before you came, thats me, hoke in your soul etc etc
Great ABBA song,ABBA did only great songs though...its pure quality, midas touch,in everything and any genre they touched musically. I hope you can do more ABBA reactions...no other musical band is as timeless as them..noone else effected the music world as much as them..

Please react to: "Paul McCartney - Fuh You". I would love to see if it will seriously challenge your assumptions about what kind of music old people are capable of making the way it did mine.
I’ll be sure and check it out soon!! Thank you for the recommendation! 💙 haha I don’t judge there’s a lot of older artists and bands that really were still making hits all the way into their 60’s and 70’s and honestly that’s what worries me about my generation of music some of them don’t have the heart in them to make it as long as people did back 30+ years ago I know that probably comes off as a little mean, but I’m being honest some I think do but they were a different breed than now and I’ll admit it lol so I respect anyone that still tries to create music even if it’s something outside of the box cause even if it doesn’t work they’ll be remembered for trying in my book!
@@SavyReacts I think the novelty of being a popstar might be wearing off. Today everyone has a platform and anyone can become famous for a short while. 50 years ago fewer people made it but the ones who did would have passed many filters of quality control; from a local audience - record companies - radio stations -TV networks. If you made it through those filters back then, you weren't "famous" - You were a star. It was quality over quantity. And for that reason your career usually lasted longer than 15 minutes. And the popstars of that era wouldn't have had to compete for the attention with all the different type of media celebs that exist now. Their influence on youth, fashion and culture was much greater than it is today. So even if the music industry doesn't have the same status as it once had, there are new industries and more ways to make it in this era.
Most of ABBA’s early work were songs in Swedish....they were told before they toured in the US....if they want to be popular.....most of their songs should be in English....there are a few songs in Spanish and French......most of their songs were recorded in the seventies....not in the 80’s.....Ken
It's a shame that most Americans are only familiar with Dancing Queen and Mama Mia (thanks to the movie)! Abba ruled the airwaves in their time, with #1 hit after #1 hit. You just saw a tiny sample of what you've been missing. And you get to listen to some proven #1's that you are not familiar with instead of taking a risk with some of the garbage that's mass produced nowadays (exception for a few stunners like Dimash!). Super Trooper. The Winner Takes it All. Voulez-Vous. Fernando (though that's also more known in the US than other songs). Etc.
Well they definitely were besides dancing queen I didn’t know who they were, and what difference does it make how many albums they’ve sold if I don’t own one?
So, it happened again ... That Thunderous Fan almost drowning the Music! Are All Americans so addicted to their AC? I wish You could move to another room maybe for the minuts the Music runs?
Lmao I live in Texas where most summers it’s 90-100 degrees it gets really hot down here, the house I live in isn’t insulated like at all, and unfortunately I live on a main road in my town and there’s traffic constantly going up and down the road so there’s not a good time/ room for me to record that’s really why I stopped making UA-cam videos, hopefully within the next year I can move so I can have a better space to record! Sorry for the annoying noise!
Let me educate you really quick that’s not how UA-cam works unless your a big time UA-camr that makes UA-cam a lot of money you can get away without hardly any pauses, and different countries have different guidelines and restrictions as well as the music companies MOST will not let you sit through the WHOLE video without pausing otherwise the video can’t even be posted because it’ll be blocked and yeah I can talk less between pauses but that’s my genuine thoughts and reaction so if you don’t like it you don’t have to watch nobody made you lol have a great day!!
Nobody made you keep watching lol and also you don’t do reaction videos so you don’t know that if I don’t pause my videos within a certain time frame my videos going to get blocked and may not get seen by anyone and that’s my editing and my time out the window. These big UA-camrs can get away with that stuff cause they’re making UA-cam money, but smaller UA-camrs don’t there’s no need to be rude about something that you don’t even know about anyways I hope you have a wonderful day!
@@SavyReacts it doesn't matter at the end of the day its poor quality regardless of restrictions or not. Use your imagination. Bring the video back a few seconds when you pause it so we can see the transition from verse to bridge to chorus as it was intended. I am interested in your emotional reaction not your assessment of the trivial aspects you talk about like whether they are laughing or not or when it was recorded just to fill in the gaps. Just make it as you would have wanted to see dont worry about anyone else or getting views. That will happen automatically if your are showing respect for the song and its writer.
Agnetha has a powerhouse voice. Frida’s voice is a little lower pitch and more rounded. They harmonize beautifully together.

Agnetha and Annifrid (forgive me if I'm misspelling) had the best harmonies in pop music. Their voices blended so beautifully. It was like a top of the line gin and tonic.

Oh! What a pretty surprise!
thank you very much for your delicate words
I know that it is very difficult to read so many comments, suggestions, requests,
much more to choose and please,
and much more to remember after a few months
Thanks again for that pampering
I go to the last
In that Bee Gees video I left you the link of Chiquitita in its world premiere that night at the United Nations and for the benefit of Unicef
here I leave it to you the link, with an introduction with all artist performing the chorus of 'He is your brother':

I will make another comment separately
Thank you very much for your deference and warm response
I wish you a great week
my regards from Argentina
Thanks for the ABBA. It's not hype, it's fact. If you really want to see her hit that note react to this song from their Wembley concert in 79. You'll really get to see how much control Agnetha had/has. Great clip.
I’ll be sure and check it out thank you for recommending that concert!

all songs in London 1979 sound amazing!
for example
Gimme gimme gimme
Summer night city
Dancing Queen
Waterloo
and the ending
"Does your mother know"
& "Hole in your soul"
two songs in row with 8 minutes of all energy powerfull and high level
The girls were both trained sopranos, with very long ranges.
You want to see Agnetha's high end of her vocal register? Watch Hole in Your Soul Live
Oh that is wonderful! And summer night city too
Amen 💕
If you want a quick introduction to a lot of Abba songs I would say this is the best you can watch, even if it is not Abba singing...
It is a list of the top 20 musical numbers from the two Mamma Mia movies.
Some Abba fans dont like the movies because the actors are singing, but I think mostly they sing ok and when they sing bad it is intentional.
And it shows that the lyrics have substance that it was possible to make 2 movies based on them without changing a word except for small changes in some lesser known songs in the second movie.
m.ua-cam.com/video/OA5lpafsD8c/v-deo.html
Björn and Benny was responsible for the musical score and the recordings with the actors and also make cameos Björn in when I kissed the teacher and Benny in Dancing queen.
That funky bazz!
appreciated your reaction video....should you choose to go down the ABBA rabbitt hole, might I suggest The Winner Takes It All, Knowing Me Knowing You, Chiquitita (UNICEF Concert), SOS, Fernando, Does Your Mother Know (Bjorn takes a turn at singing lead), My Love My Life.
yes, turn it up!;)

If you didn’t stop the music in the middle of ‘that note’ you may enjoy it even more!
Abbas Gold album is the second most sold album ever in the UK, only Queen have sold more albums than Abba in the UK.

Best Band Ever
I couldn't think fast
Это- Диско,малыш!
They have such an awesome discography. Please react to The winner takes it all, Knowing me knowing you, Lay all your love on me and The day before you came. Just to get started. :)
I’ll be reacting to the winner takes all next week, and I might do one more of the ones you listed together! Thank you for the recommendations!! 💙
@@SavyReacts If one more, please do The day before you came. Their last recording. It is beautiful.
@@tuijakarttunen9164 okay I will do that one!! Thank you for picking, and making it easier for me haha 😂 ohh last recording I’m excited!!
@@SavyReacts :)
The winner takes it all, knowing me knowing you does your mother know, the name of the game, the day before you came, thats me, hoke in your soul etc etc
l u from Sweden ...
you should see the live song of gimmie gimmie a man after midnight live from 1979 at wimbley
Great ABBA song,ABBA did only great songs though...its pure quality, midas touch,in everything and any genre they touched musically. I hope you can do more ABBA reactions...no other musical band is as timeless as them..noone else effected the music world as much as them..
Madonna got permission to sample this song for her huge hit "Hung Up"
That’s so cool I didn’t know that thank you for sharing! 💙
Madonna sampled this for “hung up”. Please react to ABBA “if it wasn’t for the nights” (japan78) video, incredible song and video, legs, legs, legs!.
yes sir i can boogie-baccara
I think would really like ABBAS`s song "Summer Night City" ....Tell me if I am wrong ;-)
Waaa Savy I love the new place

Agnetha is amazing voices
they are from 1970's
Get on board :)
Most of ABBA’s early work were songs in Swedish....they were told before they toured in the US....if they want to be popular.....most of their songs should be in English....there are a few songs in Spanish and French......most of their songs were recorded in the seventies....not in the 80’s.....Ken
gimmie gimmie a man after midnight is from 1979
😃
It's a shame that most Americans are only familiar with Dancing Queen and Mama Mia (thanks to the movie)! Abba ruled the airwaves in their time, with #1 hit after #1 hit. You just saw a tiny sample of what you've been missing. And you get to listen to some proven #1's that you are not familiar with instead of taking a risk with some of the garbage that's mass produced nowadays (exception for a few stunners like Dimash!).
Super Trooper. The Winner Takes it All. Voulez-Vous. Fernando (though that's also more known in the US than other songs). Etc.
Please, make a reaction to the songs of the singer Diana Ankudinova.
I’ve already got like 4 comments that recommended her I’ll check her out next week! Lol thank you for the recommendation 💙
There is a legend that they refused a billion dollars to reunite for just one performance.
And that legend is true 🎶 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Relesed 1979...🇸🇪....
Lmao yeah I know I posted it in the description of the video I was close enough 😂
Abba has sold more than 350 million albums so they should not be completely unknown to you!
Well they definitely were besides dancing queen I didn’t know who they were, and what difference does it make how many albums they’ve sold if I don’t own one?
Wikipedia says different ?
Your reaction is fire - just like the song. Fun to watch, best from Germany
Thank you so much happy to hear that you enjoyed the reaction! Best from Texas! 💙
Not 80s, this is mid 70s
Actually it’s 1979 lol so I was close but not close enough they were just ahead of the 80’s
It's not a pop song just one of many disco songs ABBA did back then.
80s? This song was released in 1979.
Lol I realized after the video it but it’s 79 it’s practically in the 80’s it’s that close they were just ahead of the decade

Can you please react to Garbage song called Magnetized

Too many sounds from your street.
hearing 10 sec, than speak 3min, what is this for a first reaction???
normal is to hear all of it once with NO BREAK! not an authentic
reaction
Let me educate you really quick that’s not how UA-cam works unless your a big time UA-camr that makes UA-cam a lot of money you can get away without hardly any pauses, and different countries have different guidelines and restrictions as well as the music companies MOST will not let you sit through the WHOLE video without pausing otherwise the video can’t even be posted because it’ll be blocked and yeah I can talk less between pauses but that’s my genuine thoughts and reaction so if you don’t like it you don’t have to watch nobody made you lol have a great day!!
terrible reaction, no respect for the music, just talking through it for no reason.
