Awesome job,its epic while still keeping that wasteland look ,my only critique would be to the lack of sturdiness and stability in the structure ,other that its amazing .
There is! I just never showed the bottom of the building, which I should of, but I put a lot of beams around the sides aswell, I wanted to wait until we had good enough ones to finish it off. But cheets for the feedback!
If I may ask but how do you come up with ideas or what goes through your head before/while making a settlement they look really good especially with no mods
Thanks for the feedback! To be honest i mostly wing it, I do take into consideration what kind of area the settlement is, like this one for example, it was populated with raiders when I first found it, kind of scrappy looking. It's also in the middle of nowhere, it didn't seem like the type of place that would be pretty fortified and easily accessible with shipments, it suited the rough treehouse look. There was also some of the settlement already build before I expanded on it. The majority of the time I have a rough idea but I usually just start building the basics (housing, shops etc) then ideas come to me as I build. I suggest saving regularly and trying stuff and if you don't like it reload! I'm about realism and lore friendliness, it has to look like it could happen, I've seen a few builds where people have stuff floating, that would annoy the fuck out of me, I don't like to watch a lot of people's builds because I think it would influence mines too much and kill my originality.
then i am fucked in the creativity aspect, i love your ideas so much (moslty im pretty jealous of what you ended up doing here and in homeplate becasue those are beautiful)i strated taking inspiration from you and what you said here makes a lot more sense why is the way you made these buildings like this. but im pretty curious, are you some kind of interior designer or architect?, i dont find ordinary the way you think and plan on building these stuff, its pretty top notch to an avarge player since its like everyone wants to make a bombastic, spectacular or glorified version of a settlement other than build around and play with vanilla ambience/look
simply amazing
