I really like the in depth explanations of VGC. I get why you don’t post VGC content on your other channel too much, cuz you don’t wanna spoil too much strategy, but it’d be cool to see.
This is awesome. I'm loving the freezai VGC content, your explanations are great and I feel like VGC is so interesting in Gen 9 so I'm really excited to see you getting into it
This is a really insightful report, it was really cool to see your teambuilding process and the adaptations you made! Keep up the amazing content, you'll get your event win in no time!!
it's always funny how with every new gen certain interactions take months to discover. Or just basic functions, i.e. Mortal Spin being a spreadmove. As past metagames develop, there are a bunch of oversights, move choices or even certain interactions that go unnoticed for a long time. I think it was Wolfey who "accidentally" discovered that Defog actually removes screens for him.
I think it stems from the fact that Pokemon games dont give the full information of move and abilities effects, such as likelihood chances. We'd have it all figured out within a couple weeks of release if all the actual information was just there.
I love the adaptation talk, but was surprised to hear no mention of your teams 3x weakness to Ground given how popular Earthquake and Tera Blast Ground is. In fact Dondozo itself can only use EQ next to Tatsugiri or Fluttermane. Was this a consideration when you settled on your final team composition?
Not freezai, obviously, but imo the 3x ground weakness only exists on paper. The way to pilot this team is to always bring dozogiri in the back, so you're already at most only bringing 2 ground weak pokemon. One of the three ground weak pokemon tera grass and resist ground. Finally, the two top ground types in the format, Garchomp and Great Tusk, get blasted to hell by Flutter Mane. Other less common ground types struggle with a boosted Dondozo followed by a scarfed offensive Tatsugiri spamming muddy water. So in practice it's just not really weak to ground. If this was an OU team it would suffer because you'd have to bring all six and you wouldn't have a ground switch in. But since VGC is six choose four it kinda works out. I guess a team comp that stacks ground types and makes it so they you can't bring dozogiri would give this team a lot of trouble, but I'm not sure there's an archetype like that
@@CyberDork34 I appreciate the detailed response and it's really observant that this team already covers against the most common ground types. Yes you can avoid those super effective hits but EQ is universally great and even in the face of Dozogiri is doing neutral damage to both. It's such a common coverage move that I would think bringing Glimmora or Arcanine would be a liability because they can not freely switch in (less so for arcanine). In a best case scenario Arcanine is absorbing a spore but then is threatened by an EQ that deals resisted damage against Amoonguss/Brute Bonnet. Dozogiri is a great response outside of the fact that Water often deals neutral damage against many Ground type combos. That's what made me think this might be a problem
Generally if you are clicking eq with dozo you have a tatsugiri there, you are clicking protect, or you are doing something such as tera grassing glimmora. It is doable just it has to be kept in mind.
Always love seeing these. I myself have been trying to get into VGC, and thus have been very curious about the meta. So far, Flutter Mane and Iron Bundle have been easy pickings for my team. They really don't like TR.
Gonna assume you recorded this on the road? Your attempts to reduce clipping are distracting w/ headphones on and it's hard to understand some words, just a heads up! Love the content though, good luck on your journey to 300 CP!
Think sensitivity was a little high on your microphone on this one can hear it cutting out when your voice goes low but other than that i love these videos!!! Keep it up rooting for you

A comment right below this says "freezai loves stall"...
VGCers love Hyper Offense

Give this man a medal 😂

Freezai, it's amazing how far you've come in VGC in such a short time. Great video explanation, too.

Nor they like 90+ speed with +2 speed, like Lilligant.
Tbh any pokemon that isn't slow hates tr, that's why bully pokemom that can do huge damage are cool.
Big Stall™️ coming for VGC
Most offense heavy smogon player
What a run
The stress of this would kill me,
I'll just stick to snuggling my imperfect pokemon and their stupid nicknames
Love your ev spreads. You should do a video on them.
I think singles players can learn a lot from vgc evs done right.
@@bweekz considering EVs are the only surprise factor now, I think doubles players need to learn from the competitive environment of singles lol
I am astounded as to how many games I know that abbreviate something to be CP...
Subtitles: Bluemora.
I wonder if going ttar lycanroc would have changed much something.
Great team report, I am just questioning why HP wasn't maxed on Glimmora when he uses both def and sp D evs, wouldn't it be more efficient?
Great video
why did u entirely remove your sibilance noises

Because you are a top level Smogon player. You don't need extra explanations.
Even though its vgc , freezai still has the top level Smogon player difference baby.
