There are tons of more affordable options. Just do your research! I'd recommend watching *Gothamista's "$10 and under" as well as "$20 and under" skincare product videos* (depending on how much you're looking to spend!) She lists tons of really great options that are really effective and good for you skin :)

As a korean skincare obsessor, oh my goodness!!! Finally someone cleansing correctly with knowledge of the different types of exfoliators, as well as toners and serums, and applying them correctly! @@bearbaera9431 I'd recommend the Heimish All Clean Balm! Once you start working it into your skin, it melts all your makeup/sunscreen off.
Also, Jackie calls it a "pre-cleanser" but it's more frequently called an oil cleanser. Wishing you great skin!

I get so happy when I see beauty videos with women of color. There are so many videos that don’t discuss the specific skincare issues that dark-skinned women have (hyperpigmentation, for example) . I also love her because she doesn’t seem like she’s gotten a bunch of facial injections like most other influencers (which I have no problem with, but I just feel like because of that the products they use wont be strong enough to help me). Anyway, loving these!

Mish Griffin As a PA for dermatology, hyperpigmentation and keloids are both very common in fair skin tones as well, and the treatments are the same for any skin tone. Hyperpigmentation can be treated by regularly applying an SPF 30 + as well as the prescription tretinoin, or the over the counter differin. Keloids will be treated with a topical steroid or a medical procedure involving freezing. No matter your race/ethnicity, these skin conditions are going to be treated basically the same. However, I do completely understand wanting to watch a skin care routine of someone of a similar skin or darker complexion. Nothing wrong with that🙂

I’m here as an update. I’ve switch my facial routine and followed these steps. (Except the mask every night) and my face has improved TREMENDOUSLY !!! Like she said the more you do it the faster you get. I have oily skin and the shine has toned down.

If you're on a budget, The Ordinary has AMAZING serums and oils that are really inexpensive. The majority of my face routine is their products and it has saved my skin.

tigerstripes the ingredient everyone is claiming to be in that product is not a skin bleacher. It's Vitamin C which helps with hyperpigmentation. There are a million Vitamin C products on the market, they are not for bleaching the skin. However, the ingredient list for the upcoming product hasn't even been released, so how people are saying that that's even in the product. The company itself has said that the product is for inflammation. In a video released BEFORE the whole controversy, the CEO himself explains what the products is intended for. While he is definitely an asshole and seems to be at least a little off his rocker, there's no proof that he's racist.

I used to not care about skin care like you, but it's definitely worth splurging and getting all kinds of products involving the different steps that Jackie did. Sorry to bother y’all but I really need an advice : I’m 19, I’m black and my skin tone is dry. All I do is clean my face during the shower than I put some moisturizer and that’s all. Okay I think I’ll be incorporating everything in this. I did it last night and I immediately saw the GLOW in my skin, it looks so healthy and fresh and my blemishes have reduced already! I love exfoliating toners (pixi toner with glycolic acid) and my face masks always have either vitamin C or AHA. I also added those lip plumping masks....I had have thick lips but it made hem so soft and moisturised! Thank you Jackie!
