The “steps that you can only walk down” analogy is a great way to explain which direction you can cut in. Will make sure to use it if I ever need to explain this to anyone
I have been longing to start my wood carving project. Your video is a great help for me to start my project of butter spreader. It will help me get the feel of my knife and the wood (a blind feeling the tip of the guide stick) excellent metaphor. Thank you so much for your inspiring ideas and instructions. Keep it coming, I’ll follow you…
Any of those will work. Personally I don't use oak. It's ring porous, so has quite big pores, which tend to absorb liquids. But if you seal the wood it's not a problem.

Do you have a template for this butter spreader?
Thought it would be a more details tutorial.
If that's something you're interested in, I can certainly make a more detailed tutorial
This one has background music that seems a bit too loud.
Thanks for letting me know. I think I have a tendency to pump up the jams a little too much 🎶
I didn't watch the entire video because the loud music drove me bonkers. Put yourself in the shoes of the viewers.
