That's very cool looking. Easily the nicest large size bookshelf build I've seen yet. Usually people make shorter runs of bookcases and place them next to each other, which is nice and the smaller bookcases are useful and versatile, but your "wall 'o books" style is really nice too. I also like the look of the predominantly brown books. Many pictures of OLD libraries have books with much less colour variation than is usually shown in fantasy artwork.
Awesome man! Your statement has me pumped about the build. Thanks for the feedback. The brown books is what I was envisioning when I started the build so it felt wrong to add high contrast colors. I’m glad you like the brown as well.
These are my favorite bookshelves so far. Next, I'd like to see one of those giant floor globes. I once made one using the pre-existing spinning globe top of a Toobz container, but there's gotta be an easy way to do it from scratch.
Mark Stokes in a previous video I’ve made a planetarium that spins via a clock mechanism. Are you talking a globe like this or more of a magical device? ua-cam.com/video/iaKt8tEUlog/v-deo.html
That planetarium looks great! I was thinking more of the typical, unassuming globe that would fit in perfectly with your wall-to-wall shelves. The one I crafted can be found here: www.holisticstoryteller.com/collectors-lair/ ...but I've been trying to figure out a simple-though-elegant alternative that's not so reliant on the Rainforest Toobz line remaining in production. Care to tackle it?
This is really one of your forte's PJ. Those books: what a simple idea, and looks so good without being too distracting. Even several shades of construction paper (browns, reds, blacks, blues) would go so far to add a little variety. What would I like to see? Library scatter: piles of books, maybe huge ladders to give the feeling of depth and height (a Beauty & the Beast style epic library), and maybe some kind of book prison/safeguard for a sacred book/scroll(s) a la Elder Scrolls Moth Priests :)
I wanted it to have that abundance of books feeling, so just moved them into the walls so I still have plenty of board space if needed. I still use the 2" bookshelves as flavor in certain places.
Great idea. Will def be making some of these :) I like the idea of having the bookshelves, but still having space freed up for other pieces without crowding up the room :)
No I’m not. Well if you ever have time you can find my page on Facebook @ RollforDamage but I can understand if you can’t. I becomes difficult to manage a bunch of different media
Awesome and inspiring; thanks. Might it also work to cut some grooves into the foam you typically use, then use the heat gun to expand it? Similar to your tile method for floors and walls, but on a smaller scale for rows of books.
greenhouse/arboreum of some sort with exotic plants for making potions...my players have mortar and pestle and I let them make some potions...would need kiln/dryer, distiller etc etc...makes me wish it wasn't my weekend to work so I could do some crafting!
Ohhh I love this idea. I made an alchemy table and a planetarium before. Botany would be a first. Any suggestions on what you would like the most out of your original suggestions?
Greetings Roll for Damage, I'm an artist, started doing a workshop for creating rpg maps, I would really appreciate some feedback when you have a few minutes to spare. It's awesome to see crafts for traditional ttrpg, there's just something about it that you can't get with online games. Keep creating, can't wait to see more. Cheers!
Nymzo thanks for the video out. I agree there is an element to ttrpg that can’t be duplicated. I also will be doing some live streams of world and dungeon map building. I’ll check your channel out! Sounds right up my ally.
Drop me a comment below on what you would like to see in the Library Build.

Man your ideas sung to me. Love those. I’m going to add those to my build list for the library. Thanks for the reply and suggestions.
Like I said: This is your element. So stoked to see what you come up with :)
That's one way to get a library in our house...even if it is scaled down a bit!
Lol. We’re so use to making at a small scale I don’t even remember what real life item scale is.
That's an interesting way to make books. I'll have to remember that for future projects. Thanks for the video!
Great idea for the books. I have been accordion folding paper and inserting them in card stock covers lol
Nice idea. I have tons of 2" bookshelves, but never thought about a longer "bookshelf wall".
I wanted it to have that abundance of books feeling, so just moved them into the walls so I still have plenty of board space if needed. I still use the 2" bookshelves as flavor in certain places.

Awesome! If you’re in the tabletop crafting guild on Facebook post some pictures when your done. Thanks for the feedback.
facebook moves too fast...by the time i log in again the thread I am interested in is buried...are you on proboards?

Another awesome video. Please keep doing what you do.

Brina Touchette awesome suggestions. I’ll see what I can work oit
Really sweet bookshelves ! For your next craft try an astrology set, or some other small center of learning ie alchemy or botany area.

lookin great my friend. Great work!
Thanks man! now to make a shit ton of them...

Awesome, looking forward to the stream.
Very cool. Looks time consuming.
Thanks. It wasn’t that bad. Longest process was obviously loading the shelves with the books.
Making the books looked process heavy. Great video anyway.
How tall are your shelves?
2 inches tall so they match my walls.
