If you're worried about losing your star Dino during "UFC Night" then just take over a ranger and sit in the vicinity of the fight continuously firing healing darts at your champion. As soon as champ gets bitten and his health drops the darts will start adding HP back again making sure he wins every time 99% of the time... ;p
As a heads up Venus, I've had mixed feedback on this one. This seems to work fine for some players but cause issues for others. Just wanted to warn you as it seems that building against certain terrain will allow dinos to escape. Be careful :P
With our recent update, this works with the tall redwood trees too. The grouped trees work for large dinos, but you need to use the individual trees to hold back small dinos like Raptors. This trick may help the ends of the fence if some dinos find there way around
I find only the small ones get out but not so much the big ones. Keep the small ones in a full closed in area where the big ones can go in the half ones next to a Mountain.
A fun trick that I did once was after I got a 4 star park, i have a bunch of saved up money but no more space. Did everything I could to get to 5 stars, but nothing worked. So... I sold everything! Totally wiped the park clean. I had enough money to rebuild from the ground up and placed everything out perfectly. It felt like playing in the sandbox mode. And got the 5 stars.
That you took your time and written down everything in the description scene and even added time stamps....deserves a like a subscription! Keep up the good work!
I've got to say, I bought the game as soon as it came out and I just found your tips recently. these are going to save me a lot of headaches, and some of these tips I would of never thought of like the Sub-hatching. You are a genius.
This was an amazing video, and I will absolutely use these tips. On top of that, you did all of this without begging over and over again for likes and subscribers before the video even started. You have earned a new subscriber my friend. An amazing video!
Great video. One tip of give for ensuring dino visibility for your enclosures. Build the creation lab first and then place your viewing stations second. Once you have done that, then connect your fences and finally add the gates. I've found doing it this way ensures all my enclosures always have max visibility as I don't forget and find I have an area where I can't fit one afterwards
Move between your islands. Unlocking a lot of buildings in campaign usually requires certain ratings on specific islands. Others require you to simply progress to the next island. You can progress to the next island, unlock new tech and then return to previous islands with the new unlocks to help boost rating, in turn giving you the tech that would require rating. Can be applied to a number of things like research or expeditions as well. Get to a point where your furthest island has a research lab / expedition center built, then go back to an old island and use your funds from that park to research and send excavation teams.
Thank you for all your tips and tricks! I was able to fly through the game, getting it done faster then I actually wanted too but now I got everything unlocked for sand box mode and I'll be trying that as soon as I get all islands to 5 stars.
@@MrW01FY I have, the game is actually pretty good buttttt just not good enough for a sim/tycoon. I hope when they come out with another one like this that they make it more in depth with more options.
They actually tell you when you unlock the 2nd island. Lol. So I did expedition with first island and saved up the resources for the 2nd island, then move to the 2nd island and sell of the resources as income. Haha…
Your videos make me love UA-cam again. Gosh I wish you can teach every one out there a lesson in uploading. Just saying your pretty good at making a quality video.
that terrain/enclosure idea is really nice. I never thought about that. I have a carnivore pen I can do that to and a herbivore pin. Very interesting. Also when you have an island that pumping out lots of cash, find out which dinos can exist together. You can generate a lot of income this way and the by product of this is that you'll get a lot of rating boosts as dinos fight, feel each other out, etc..
5:52 That's the ideal location to build three different paddocks from one Hammond lab. Place the lab right in the center with a small square yard and connect it to the three paddocks that will form a U shape around the perimeter of the island. That particular island has an energy cost multiplier so electricity is expensive. Just having the one lab will save you a fortune in electric bills. You can easily position quite a few shops, storm stations and shelters inside the whole set up. Once you figure out how, that island becomes one of the easiest... despite the tornadoes!
Idk if it's been said already, but as to Dino visibility, a neat trick I've found is to place viewing towers off the fence facing in a strategic direction can help with more concealed/out of the way paddocks
Heres another tip: when you start a new island make sure you do all of your research and upgrades on the island with the most money because the upgrades apply to all the island. it saves you lots of money and time
This dude is awesome!! Exactly what I needed to hear and exactly how I need to hear it. Quick and straight to the point boldly! You’re awesome whoever you are.. make more videos like this please and thank you.
I personally recommend you manually resupply the feeders in carnivore pens. The AI can sometimes cost you a ranger 😂 better to zoom around yourself and maybe take a quick photo while there
Having to manually feed every single dinosaur is one of the most mind boggling design decisions I’ve seen in the game. It’s so annoying I have to tell people to make sure the dinosaurs don’t starve to death. They might as well make us manually feed the people too.
I've found that sometimes if you see a building that keeps showing a demand for something despite the requisite building being right next to it, it may just be bugged and can be solved by destroying and rebuilding it.
Just got this game on steam when it went on sale for the holidays. I have been loving it and been looking for good videos on tips and tricks. MrW01FY has some amazingly good tips that have helped me out immensely. Also he's funny as shit.
@@MrW01FY NP. I did find a problem with one of your tips last night though. I decided to do the "terrain pen" idea and run fences to the edge of the park to make a big enclosure for a pack of dilophosaurus on Mantanceros, however they were able to find a gap or something at one corner and kept escaping no mater how many times I tried to fix it or double/triple up that last piece at the border. I ended up fully enclosing the back side to fix it, but I kept watching them for a while wondering if they could somehow jump the regular fence. Don't know if that's a thing, but it had me staring at those little buggers for 15 minutes just to make sure. lol. I did use the terrain pens on Muerta and it worked fine though.
More awesome tips and more of that great humor Wolfy XD. Very interesting and ingenious tips i'll be sure to remember whenever i get around to getting this game. Keep up the good work :).
thanks for this i watched your first video 3 times just so i don't mess up in the beginning of the game and i just finished this video and it was very helpful

Real good content, man! Much appreciated. Question: what's the best way to keep guests in the shopping areas? My idiots like to hang out around all my JP staff-only buildings.
Once you get the first island maxing out you can play the rest however you want really. Easy to stack money on other islands when you can sell fossils for top dollar etc.
build viewing galleries before the fences, the reason is because you don't know if your fences at the end are gonna fit, plus building those galleries tends to screw up the terrain.
You could actually have a major UFC tournament that will have a major point buildup (and be quite entertaining) in which you battle dinosaurs with other increasingly large dinosaurs, ending with two large carnivores duking it out with their combined combat ratings
Im not sure if anyone else has as many issues as i did with the raptors i would recommend a three layer wall or having a ranger station directly next to it they tend to be more aggressive then other carnivores with the walls ive noticed for at least myself
The terrain pens tip blew me away! I can't believe the creature AI's and the general programming is such that it won't let the dinos roam beyond terrain boundaries. Thanks for the video. I'm picking this up for the Nintendo Switch when it comes out next month, so I'm browsing for tips. Cheers.
I find it interesting that building pens without fence all around and using the edges of the map, especially mountains and cliffs, works for most people. My dinos just glitch over the hill and appear in the park 😏😂 Sometimes even my rangers get stuck on top of the mountain, especially when tornado hits on lovely Isla Pena. lol
I use and always have used tip 1 in my parks so i can figure out how much forest , grassland , wetland the dinosaur needs it is especially useful with carnivores
i have a small tip. do your research on one of your earlier islands wherte you have money flowing like water so you can just focus on the dino's on the other islands and one mo re tip if your scrapped for cash on one island go back to another send out a exscavating (no idea how to wrtite it) team to get some fossils of dino's your already have at 100% so you can sell it on the other island that is short on cash ;)
Yeah dark, this is something I definitely did. I often found that when trying to do some of the missions, my money would just be going up in the background. I normally did a bunch of my research then and let it run whilst doing other things. I appreciate the fossil tip too :) thanks homie!
The excavations sort of a risk. Eventually, you will run them dry and they make you quite a bit of money in a pinch. Apply increased yield and invest in them early if you foresee money issues, especially on Pena
Extra tip if there’s a tornado don’t send a ranger team to go and fix the fence just delete the fence and put a new unbroken fence were the old fence was the reason why this is affective is because the ranger team has to drive over there and by that time the dinosaurs out of the cage if you delete the fence you will have to be quick because they will run but it’s more affective in the long run this to get there in time you will have to follow the tornado And fix the fence as soon as it hits it send Jeep’s out to fix broken buildings though
Small carnivores are always harder to deal with in storms than the big guys, as you can easily tranqulize the big dinos but the small guys go real fast
Why cant I change the management view on my shop's and restaurants? I change it and when I close out of that building and look back on it, it says none for management view. I dont even know what it does tbh
How to make the dinos fight each other and help one of them win?before the ranger appears to top up one of their healths they break off the fight and start breaking fence, its really a long and tiring process

Top Tip 16, when a Dino dies of old age... Tranq his closest relatives & sell them before they kick the bucket too...
Big brain move
and always have a set of dinos of the same type in the incubator so you dont have to deal with comfort levels going down

makes building dino dens alot better honestly
