He is a grand papy n still wants to live longer to enjoy his comfortable life n doesn't care about generation of young people sent to war. Therefore he doesn't want to end up reduced to ashes in case of nuclear war. This means that his nuclear threats re empty. A coward who isolated himself during covid period n afraid of foof poisoning n rarely goes to the front line to visit his army.

I think Kate Gerbeau is the best Times Radio host.
I like that she gave Diane Francis enough time to talk in depth. Too often, Times Radio invites a guest for a few minutes to provide a quick quote, without the time to give an deep and honest analysis.
I like that Diane Francis talked about crying. We are often too analytical about this war, and the terrible crimes Putin is responsible for. Crying is not weakness, it is communicating the appalling crimes of the current Russian regime. Not just crimes against the nation of Ukraine, but the crime of sending hundreds of thousands of Russian men to crippling injuries and death.

    Acceptable negotiation points:
    - how long do russians have to get out of Ukraine before they become combatants, and the Kerch Bridge is destroyed.
    - how long the sanctions are in place after all russians are out of Ukraine. (years, not months)
    - how much the rf owes Ukraine to rebuild, over how long, and how is this enforced.
    - when that thing in the Kremlin will be delivered to the Hague.
    - what military capacity is the rf allowed to keep and the plan for their nuclear arsenal to be dismantled.
    - when the rf will step down from the UN security council.
    - target date for Ukraine's acceptance to NATO.

That first point overlooks the possibility of some Russians wishing to remain and become Ukrainian citizens, especially people already having lived there for multiple generations.
Which country will replace ruSSia as permanent member at the UNSC?
NATO's acceptance of Ukraine will largely depend upon permanent cessation of hostilities (NATO rules).

Diance Francis? This is the 1st time I see you, and it was a delight to listen to your SENSIBLE points of view about Ukrain and the brave Ukranians, Putin and his barbarian instincts that will only stop short with a good SMACK, the game China is playing - although I didn't think of Xi's plan on Manchuria, the appreciation of U.K. stepping up kind of "away from the U.E.".
I ALSO think that France is more into its internal rough problems - too many immigrants and a PRO-PUTIN LaPenne nicely accepting euros from Putin's Russia... BUT, I DON'T AGREE on the leading position that Germany "will move into". Germans are ALSO having terrible problems with the AFD!!
I feel we both could get along fine - I'm from 🇺🇾 and in my 80's - AND I ALSO CRY, DAILY over Ukraine!!
I've even started investigating to get there to help them "on the ground".

I am so fed up with speculation and guesswork regarding the inner workings in kreml. Completely meaningless, always without any sources or proof.

Good interview, but can TR stop their thumbnails suggesting Russia's army has been defeated, Putin is about to be overthrown, etc. It has been like this for a year. Beginning to sound like propaganda.

Agree 100%. But it's called journalism, or sensationalism, clickbait to get readers. Would you look at a video entitled (much more honestly) "Putin safe in power till the rest of his life." "Putin not under any threat", etc.
