These Wales just hear that Soph is in the area and flock to see you! You have some great close up pictures. You are just a magnet to all things beautiful.
Don't you just love how generous communities are when you engage with them? Not jsu tthe cruising community (althgough that in itself is awesome), but also remote town communities too? Truth is it's the same in the big smoke too, but we just don't think to try. Anyhoo, really enjoyed this episode - Broome is such a fantastic place.
Great whale footage guys. You're now cruising through familiar territory for me. I spent some of my feckless youth working on prawn trawlers thereabouts. It was a fair while ago and there weren't so many whales about in those days as we were still killing them. However, on the upside there were shitloads of fish about. I remember one morning heading out to work and the sea was just boiling with fish literally as far as you could see. Never seen anything like it. The skipper reckoned they were Spaniards. Loved it.
That was a jam packed adventure, full of supplies & a well deserved long awaited cafe feed ( bet that tasted heavenly ) The Whales topped it off. They'd make me nervous as well
Hey Slim and Soph thanks for another awesome episode! I absolutely loved watching your big whale encounter ❤️! I've just got back from another cruise and you was 1st on my list to watch!! Hope you both are doing well and Chilli? Much love guy's and please stay safe out there 🙏
You both are a breath of fresh air 🎉🎉🎉 The best episode of the weekend ‼️😊💕 Totally loved your resourcefulness and the communities' generosity. We people are a pretty good lot when we try. B. R. A. V. O. ‼️ 🎉 See you next time. ✨ 🌊 💨 ⛵️ 🏝️ 👙 🌞 ✨
G'day 😎. WOW! What an epic episode. Super exciting whale sailing. 🐳 Stoked for your next video. Shout out to Salty Jocks. Paul & Michelle. Hugs from Texas 🩷🤠🩷
I absolutely love your channel been watching your journey around Australia ,Those Whales were Magic what lovely creators . Best wishes to you both from the uk
Ah, the creativity and fortitude of youth. What a hell of a shopping trip on the eighth day of the week, Broomeday! It's really great to watch you guys having so much fun on your adventure. Safe sailing.
😀😀👍👍👍❤❤ Your videos keep getting better and I'm very impressed. The whale footage was spectacular. Nice work you two! Bye for now from Seattle, WA. (Northwest USA)
Slim & Soph, you two are a real joy to watch and listen to. Glad to see that you managed to buy lots of provisions. It's always nice to know that you are enjoying every hour of every day.
G’day from the UK! Great vid, awesome whale footage (why do we still call it footage? Weird huh) and decent people helping each other out. Your engine is a trooper, it’s really had to do some hours on the journey. I don’t know why but I’d always assumed that much of the Aussie coastline would have a fairly reliable onshore breeze as the land heated up during the day, turns out that I was wrong. I wish I could buy a print, they’re stunning, but my wife wouldn’t be too happy ‘cause a couple of hundred sheep on 70 acres of farm doesn’t make for much disposable income these days. My sailing days are over but watching you two finding new places helps to scratch the itch. Thanks and stay safe. R. 😎👍🍻
we generally get a pretty good land breeze, this was peculiarly chill weather for this coast So stoked your able to get a kick out of following along on our adventure ❤️⛵️
GOODDDDD!!! DAYYYY!!!! Slim and Soph another awesome video . Really enjoyed the way you restocked with the water & Fuel great folks in the van. And the way you food restoked 3 cars into town taxi back.(Cost of Taxi?) Yea those Mackerel Tuna aren't really that good eating however still edible. Like you mentioned great for pickling jaring if you've the time. "WOW"! Those whales how magical and so many. Just mind blowing. I know you mentioned back in time why you don't have a water maker. Why was it again you don't and do you plan on getting one in the near future. It surely would make life more enjoyable. Salt water showers I would think dries your skin and make shin irritable. The Western sunsets are amazing. Stay safe looking forward to next video.
Taxi was super reasonable! and driver was super accommodating and awesome, I cant remember the price exactly 20-40 bucks approx. 3 cars is a long story 😂😂 met lots of lovely folk along the way. we didn't have one in the Kimberly as we knew we would find natural waterfalls. however, we would love one for other stretches of the coast as water is always the first thing that brings us to land, have to save a few pennies first though as the uni student budget isn't huge 😂😂
Man that was hella nice of those ppl to help you out with water and stuff! Guys your episodes are the high light of my TV week. Freaking love them. That pod of whale at the end was so epic!!!
This has to be the hardest you have ever worked to get water and fuel on board. The scenic view of the wildlife thought is probably totally worth it. Great video!
Couch Sailing since I retired I have seen many Charecters doing Boatwork in exotic places, but you 2 are unique and loads of fun! good on ya! G'day! Fair Winds!
Just an idea I picked up from Back 2 Basic utubers, try using a currie to make a less than desirabe fish more to your liking. At least you will have the benifit of fresh fish. B2B castaway Strick n Fran are two aussies at present on the west coast Great Barrier reefs. Check them out sometime.
That section of coast you just traversed, is one of the most cyclone prone places on earth. Obviously not during the time of year you guys went through. We were hit by a few during our time in Port Hedland. Scary stuff.
Hey Legends, I was wondering if you'd meet up with James and kids, that's awesome. Never seen anyone so happy to find a Woolies. 🤣 good on yas. Xx🇦🇺 how good is Aussie Mateship. 👍don't forget about about our famous Big White Pointers ok.😲with the way the commercial fishing dudes are pulling out Tuna, I'm not suprised there's isn't any.
Hey legend, yeah it was super nice to meet James and the girls, we have a great time catching up 🙂. nope, we won't forget, finally out of croc country and now we have bloody Great Whites on our case 😂😂 the comradery is fantastic here🇦🇺
This is by far the best of your videos. The whale footage was stunningly epic. I'll bet whatever hardships you two may have gone throughout your journey that it was so worth it after seeing those whales up close. But Soph, you scared me a bit on this video. I saw you up on the bow while Simon was taking a nap, and you were not tethered, nor were you wearing a pfd. Speaking from someone who lost his balance and accidentally got thrown overboard all in a split second, I want you to think through this scenario. Let's say Simon is fast asleep down below, and something happens where you accidentally fall overboard. What will you do? How will Simon find you, especially if some time goes by before he wakes up. Then after assessing that scenario, switch roles where you are asleep down below and Simon falls overboard. Guys, all 34,000 of your loyal subscribers love you guys a lot. So please address this risk. We do not want to see you get hurt. Keep up the great work that you do and the epic videos you are producing. I could not believe how stunning beautiful the Kimberley region of Australia is. I think I speak for most of your loyal fans, when I say that we are living vicariously through you guys. Thank you so much for bringing this part of the world to us.
The sunrise coming into Dampier was amazing . What a Stunning display those Whales gave you guys , I doubt if you will find anything to beat it , and the sounds they made . Loved this episode , travel safe . Good luck with the tuna fishing , just a friendly hint ,, Keep 2 or 3 tins of Black & Gold Tuna in the galley ,, it nearly tastes the same .😁😁😁🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hi guys, another awesome video, loved the whale footage and good to see you met up with Salty Jocks, what a dad. Thank you so much for sharing. I truly meant to buy a print but totally forgot, are they still around?
