I still recall Troy and Pascal visiting the Monte Bello islands. They got some monster crays! This place is very high up on our list 😊 And nice work on the coral trout! Lovely fish.
Just a wonderful video. I love watching you guys. I think you two are perfect together. Soph looks so much like her mom. I hope she has time to read the comments. Soph, I'm pulling for you and your mom to win. Your pal from New Jersey
We're so glad to hear you enjoy following our journey. We always read the comments , so thanks so much for dropping us a line, we really appreciate you tuning in and commenting! Cheers!
@@SlimandSophSailingNakama I have watched most of your videos since you started, all from the UK, I find your journey fascinating and the scenery stunning. The videos you create are really well made and not a moment to get bored with them 😀 and you can keep the crocs, awesome looking critters, thank you
It's strange when I know more about sailing around Australia from watching sailing channels than, you, a sailing channel, do. 😂 Coral trout, Bang 💥. Thanks for sharing.
Pretty awesome coast line up there eh wot 😊..........red dust country and I'm sure that it will be on Nakama. Keep it coming cru. Fair winds U2 scallywags
🤔 When Thomas Edison was accredited with creating the Light Bulb: Did you know that in search of a filament for the light bulb, Thomas Edison sought and tried thousands of materials before he finally succeeded? Once, his assistant complained, “All our hard work is in vain. We have gained nothing.” Thomas Edison replied calmly, “We have come a long way and we have learned a lot. We know that there are 2,000 elements that cannot make a good light bulb.” 😂😂😂 So, mucking about for a safe anchorage seems like just a bit of fun... and a good education in circumnavigation. 😂😂😂 Couldn't resist. Godspeed, Happy Sails, and much love and respect from Central Texas, USA. ✌️❤️🚀🤠
I spent 9 months in 1980 on the MBIs and while it is crawling with fish it is also crawling with very big sharks. Be very careful, don’t have both in the water at the same time
I love y'all SO much ! Great video as usual and those tacos looked amazingly delicious ! Soph - I caught your vlog about the races you have planned with your mom and that is f'in incredible - good for the both of ya ! I will follow that adventure as well. If Slim needs a fishing companion while you are gone - I am definitely available !
Finally fresh fish and an abundance of it. Nice anchorage you found. looking forward to seeing Soph show her talent of bringing the fish home. Looking forward to next video
I won't be able to watch until I get off work at midnight, but have y'all caught up with Mikes to try the birthday beer yet? Both my favorite things in one. Making beer and sailing. Love y'all's videos.
Hey legend! Hope you managed to get to watching the video and enjoyed it. Trying the beer will be in the next video of our time in the Montebellos! Hahah, it's an excellent combo 😊
Thanks for the refreshing look at the Montebello’s …. I was there in the seventies on the HMAS Moresby. Great video as always and I agree Slim always looks happy eating 😂 !
Let's hope we can put on enough pressure to shut down these gas plants, rigs and Woodside who probably own them. We've just had the hottest 10 months ever, the GBR has its worst bleaching event and this gas is only gonna make it worse. Great video though guys, looks like such a pristine area bar the fossil fuel infrastructure!
Hey Slim and Soph thanks for another awesome episode! Hope you both are doing well and staying safe out there? Would like to know a bit more about the bombing there 🤔 cheers guy's 🍻. Ps hello Chilli.
That's a side project, I'm now back on Nakama until our first race kicks off! And then I will bring you the footage of that, and then continue the journey on Nakama. It might sound a bit all over the shop, but that's exactly how it will be for us 😂
Great spot, nice fish Slim,! More fishing and less wasting your time reading books, especially 1 called lawyer ethics???you'd be better off reading a book of how to put a saddle on a unicorn !😂😂😂great ep
The Montys are a special place. To think that people come up from the Perth region and Albany just amazes me.OK getting there but back 😬😬 The West Coast is not for pussies 😀😀😀😀
Thanks for sharing, always good stories and wonderful scenery. Ive been wondering what you guys are studying. I saw a glimpse of at book. Are you studying law? If too inquisitive, just dont answer. Ill respect that.
Hey, unfortunately, we just did a limited release of the prints, so they are no longer available. But we will most likely do similar releases in the near future 😊
It was so criminal how they let off nuclear bombs in the most pristine and beautiful places on earth, Whats more shocking is they have never been brought to justice for it,
They didn't know any better back then. They were still learning the effects of what they created. Now it's easy to judge because we know. Hindsight is always 100% I'm not justifying them just putting it into perspective.
We would say that the WA government would be pretty onto people fishing within this area if they found dangerous traces within the marine life in their studies. They are constantly testing radiation levels here, the biggest concern is your time spent on land. We will go more into this in our next video here at the Montebellos 😊

Just love that video, I have lived in WA for nearly 12 years but never got my ass up there!
I like your hat Slim
Great Vid! It's also on the list for my trip down that coast. You're so right, you don't need to spend squillions on a boat to do what you're doing.
If you can out to the Montes, its definitely worth the trip. That's it, cheers legend😊
Beautiful!!
Cheers legend!
Thanks for another great vlog.
Cheers legend, so glad you enjoyed😊
Yum...

Soph...I thought you were with your mum, sailing somewhere north of Aus? Whaa?

Haha, life is all about balance! Fishing is always that much better when you've spent your time reading law textbooks 😂
Slim: “ this place would great if it just a little less nuclear radiation, and few more trees”. 😂
😂
Slick haircut Slim.
