Bruce telling people the coffee maker is a factory option will never get old.
The coffee marker probably gets old before he use it:)
@@TjabbeBabbe The air-lock column adjustment is his 1 true first love.
Don't forget the sunroof/escape hatch! 😊
Scania is only european truck brand so much wide opened for custom(er) modifications, add-ons, cause it's living for truck(ing) enthusiastics.
Bruce needs to make a shirt that says "the coffee maker is a factory option" id buy it in an instant 😂
😂😂😂
Bruce Wilson, the only man in the world who has a R770 as a daily driver.
Respect.
you spelled the US wrong you spelled it "world"
@@tonnypedersen5915 Bruce Wilson, the only man in the solar system who has a R770 as a daily driver.
I hope I've not offended any outer space people.
@ the Scania R770 is very common here in Europa where i live, they are all over the place, and i am pretty sure the ones driving them does so on a daily basis.
@@tonnypedersen5915 "daily driver" means personal car, as opposed to work vehicle... 😊
@ I live in England. As far as I know nobody in Europe uses a R770 as a daily driver.
My daily driver is a Honda.
It's for sale.
One owner who only used it to go to Church.
Crazy how the Scania titled videos views are astronomical compared to just the regular videos with peterbilt n misc content
International....
@@NUKEzx10r exactly, I'm not that interested (if at all) in peterbilt content
America isnt the whole world : D Scanias and Mack in EU towards asia haha, we alot ppl too ^^
nobody gives a damn about pakar products anymore
A global market vs an American one reflected by views, no shock honestly.
That boat is badass and those 2 big ole Scania engines, Woooooow....
Bruce is the Scania ambassador👏
bruce might be too american for us EU people but he is doing the best job ever to get scania on the radar in the US, i wish they will allow them into the US because everyone would benefit from it.
We have Scania in the US... There are yards full of old Scanias all along the east coast and around chicago area. While they arent the new Scanias they are from the 80s and 90s. I wish he would stop acting like there are no Scanias here. Scania as a company decided to leave the US as they only had about 5% of the market at their peak in the US.
Bruce you and your cameraman need to get together and discuss filming.
I am pretty sure a lot of us would like to see more that was going on then just looking at you and the captain nothing personal you're a good-looking man but I like to see the ocean and stuff like that. Moore's scenery shots would have been nice. Thanks for showing how the other half lives.😊
Agreed! Background music for the engine room segment? I am a long time follower but your most recent videos are hard to watch.
Hire a professional producer and drone pilot ... Everything looks like he is saving 💰 .. And one more thing running engines at 80% crank it up to 90-100 so wencan see real performance
Yeah B roll is just as important
Love your shirt with oldschool 80s Scania Logo with the old C 😍
Classic
8:25 the cooling system does have sea water running through it but only at the plate cooler and other heat exchangers or raw water pipes/hoses. The engine still has normal HD coolant running through it. Just a different method to cool it because of the lack of air circulation a traditional radiator cannot be used.
I was on the Mack Attack a couple weeks ago for a quick test ride at work. Compared to the standard MAN V8-1200 engines, the Scania D16’s have a much different ride and a way better holeshot. A lot more room in the engine room with two less turbos and Intercoolers.
When Bruce's wife said it's not very big, don't worry mate it was probably a cold day.
😅😂🤣
Or Actually just got out of the shower 😮 short.....😂.......
First time I see white Scania marine diesel engines.
Usually here in Sweden, Scania's marine engines are orange or red.
White Scania marine diesels were interesting to see. 😊
Interesting!
MAN they are different ;)
The Captain fellow has got to be ex-military. No messing about 🙂
I feel like I could expand my family with this girl in this space. ;-) 29:38 Awesome boat. Sorry for the low comment.
I love your videos ❤😂
You are truly Scania man Bruce !!!
When Bruce asked if they could re prop to get slower speeds no is the simple answer but what the Captain failed to mention is with the ZF gears I am sure you could install trolling valves on them, essentially what they do the short answer is is allow slippage of the clutches to lower prop speeds thus lowering travel speed, in the older large gears like say Twin disc the way they did this was by essentially increasing oil flow over the clutches and decreasing the engagement pressure allowing oil shear on the clutches in this operation mode you had restricted power you could apply. If you tried to go too fast you would over heat the oil and burn it off the clutches and then damage the clutches.
Bruce , love your channel , great job !!
It would be a super cool video on the history of Mack and a Scania!!
Scania had turbo in their trucks in 1957, and Scania ( SAAB-Scania) helped SAAB with their first turbos ito their cars.
I'm taking my Saab convertible out for a ride tomorrow ❤❤❤
Awesome
When only the best will do "Scania."
Great video….. SG needs to come out with a gyro for the 28-38ft center console market.
I am a simply guy, i click like everytime i see something Scandinavian.

So now you have tried trucks and boats, it is only natural to move on to something else that is Scania V8 powered, my suggestion is the CV90 IFV
Yes. And remind that Scania and Saab was working together for a while, and what SAAB turned out to be. JAS Gripen is also a great example of what those guys in Sweden can do. Perhaps next visit can be having a trip in those two ?
@@bjornarsteine3922Grippen was a joint venture between Denmark and Sweden, TERMA pumpped 10 billions in that bird. Credit where credit is due, but stay on course.
@@bjornarsteine3922 Don't forget Koenigsegg!
@@bjornarsteine3922Scania and Saab was the same thing for sometime.
Hell yeah. The best IFV on the planet.
Bruce, you should do a History video of Scania and Mack, how Scania designed the Theromdyne cylinder heads. And how Mack engines were cast by Scania, there are even engines that say MACK/SCANIAVABIS" cast right into the manifold. In the 50's, Scania said "Mack, we like your buses, but your engine is so gutless, it cant' get out of its own way. Lets make an intellectual trade. you give us intellectual property in your bus and we'll build you a cylinder head that pulls hard" And Mack said "Yer on!" One guy to talk to is Steven at Scania USA texas. probably knows more about Scania than modern Scania personnel. Do a history show or shows on the Collab between Scania and Mack. You do a part 1,2,3 of these historical videos of Scania and Mack and i bet these will be one of the highest hit videos you make. MAX HUNT At Scania Texas. ua-cam.com/video/8VuBL5O3iqk/v-deo.htmlsi=p15ko8rHmDIQULnh&t=379 And it just so happens you are wearing the same T-shirt that Steven wore in Max Hunt Scania video.
And maybe tell the story of the first attempt when Scania tried to enter the us marked and visit some owners of the original US Scanias of the 2 and 3 series that were sold in the 80s and early 90s.
This. ☝🏻🗿👍🏻
I haven't heard about the cylinderheads but I know the exchange of tec was bustecnologi from Mack in exchange for directinjectiontecnologi from Scania 😊
Our lifeboats here in the UK have Scania engines the lifeboat work the same has ski boats pulled water 🌊💦 in blows out local to myself Dungeness Kent UK thanks 👍 for a great video again
These vikings are nice lol
boats in general is volvo penta so its fun to se a scania engine in a boat..yes there out there but all of us dont know it,
I'm so glad you noticed that!
Båten saknar en viktig sak 🙂Visst det är en demo båt men ändå ........... Vart är kaffebryggaren ?
Thanks, Bruce. Great video.😊 Very interesting.
Hey Bruce how are you doing today my friend I like watching your UA-cam videos and they are very educated and I like the content in the videos and I like the way you explain things to your viewers in the videos
ok now u NEED to haul the scania boat with the scania truck
Super cool nice video 👍👏🥰🇨🇿😉
yoo bruce im swedish i love your content because you are just a regular american promoting something i love Saab/scania its awesome, and i love american trucks and transformers , optimus prime etc and old american movies. but this might be a bit to much lol i love it though =) lets go fishing "how many v8's is to many v8's ? hmmm 2 v8 isnt the number that we know now atleast lol
dude your wife is already setting new standards you will never be able to stand on the shore again look at her eye in this video she is ready for the total pirate life lol.
Hey Bruce I seen you on the Big Rig Videos yesterday. And I think he was impressed man like most of us.. but I never even thought about scania having boats.. it's a trip man. And another thing I think. You're the right dude to represent scania here in the US. It's crazy that you didn't grow up driving big trucks. With your knowledge it's pretty wild man. And I feel a little bit like the USA is being robbed. For what you get and the money you spend on these peterbilts Kenworth. You know the big name brands. And hearing you talk about the Volvos. And Freightliner. Pretty much the only ones that's bringing more technology and looks. For what you're getting.. and you may have covered it before but I don't remember. But with this scan your truck right here. What would that cost in US money. I know it's almost like a basic model compared to what you can really get. I am pretty curious about that... But you have a great one man. This was a killer video. You know I will share this one. You're going to have to get you one of those boats man. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻☺️
Becoming a professional salesman!!!!!!
Yeah he can sell small scania powered boats like this and scania trucks and lowboy trailers to haul them arround as a bundle pack :D
34:31 Danny Duncan on the boat you don’t drive the boat, grandpa
That boat looks very cool 😎😎
30:02 is everyone’s dreams
: D scania power
Nice rack on that boat.
😎👍
Yacht 😂😂
🔥💪
Pretty wild that I actually fabricated those mounts for the Scania motors and helped with a bunch of small engine room parts while working at Viking
blue pelmet with blue side frilly curtains would be good for that interior and buy a better table for interior and maybe some leather carpet.
You represent the Roman empire.
Wouldn't it look nice to have some wooden paneling inside the cab like inside this yatch. Those panels look awsome
Would be a nice option to have. Especially light Scandinavian birch.
Surprising to see hot air intakes for the engines, in a sauna-toasty engine room.
Wow
Is the Scania still in Florida? Would love to take a picture!
Bruce this was one of the best videos i have seen of yours in a long time. I liked the Q&A style you did on this video. Camera angles need some work. Awesome job!
So when are you gonna test the cv90? (not CB90) 1000hp scania
05:55
why do engines have filters directly on the engine? wouldn't it be better to install a suction pipe from the outside so that fresh air can be received instead of having the engine suck in warm air from the room?
Evidently you missed the part that mentioned intake air cooling.
water in the engine is a no go. This boat can fully submerge in a large wave and come back up without issues. Who needs cool air if you got literally infinite cooling in the sea.
Getting air directly from outside the boat is a very bad idea. Cause when you are out there cruising, you get seawater thru the air when riding the waves, wind and surrounding enviroment.
That is air mixed with SALT water. I think you get my point.
The engine room is clean and dry air
You suck out all the “bad” air in the engine room, always fresh air down there when the engines is running.
I believe the CV90 has a 1000 hp version of the DC16 engine...
Bruce, ask the Scania people why they don't make (farmer) tractors. They have the expertise and the engines for it, so why not build tractors?
The Scania engines has been used in farm tractors though, Swedtrac, and possibly others.
And it was common to use them in excavators and forestry machines and such back in the days.
It's not an uncommon engine swap in larger tractors when people rebuild them seen them in steigers and Volvo BM's.
The likely reason why didn't make any tractors is likely that Volvo BM had the Swedish tractor market, and frankly it didn't go well for them in the end.
@@hnorrstromit didnt go well with Valtra untill they bought the Volvo BM tractor line, had Volvo car engineers design them a decent cab and do the entire hood styling, so they could get access to European customers.
Without the sales through the Volvo dealer network they aquired, Valmet wouldnt have made it t9 the point when Agco bought them.
@@Sjanzo True indeed, but Volvo BM merged with Valmet because of economical problems. It had become too expensive for them to produce and develop tractors which sold in small numbers worldwide.
@@hnorrstrom not really. They just werent interested in farm tractors anymore because they replaced their tractor based wheel loaders with purpose built articulated loaders. So then they offloaded the now obsolete tractor branch to Valmet, who only kept the sales channel plus Volvo produced the 810/814 as Valmet for two years.
Yacht
what are the differences between the truck and marine engine , both being 16 litres V8's , 50 percent extra power is not a small bit . i would like to see the air mass differences between
those two
the short answer is different emissions requirements, marine engines have allowed higher emissions than trucks, ther is no def/adblue on the boat, and there is less problem regarding cooling..................
Its cute tho i'm sticking to my outboards
Watched your videos a lot, but never said anything that was a good video but I think I’d love to see that Scania in European graphics rap 33:04
Just 1 hour running is more then my monthly rent. Only the fuel...
Yatch ... Natch.
Can 25 year old trucks be imported and driven ?
Next video is a tug of war vs Mack Attacks boat?
Similar to the video from 8 years ago on YT titled "Stuck Truck Saved By Ship !"
1st
Hmm engines weren't really in sync while Bruce was cruising even though 1 lever was for both engines..it annoys me😂
funny when people looks at boats that costs millions even billion dollars and finds a 150$ microwave they go OHHHH WAUW
Bruce please do at once power comparisons in parallel with the truck loaded vs trucks with cummins or even CAT, real braking comparisons in parallel with other trucks of different brands, loaded engine brake tests, consumption tests.... We want to see versus, not this kind of videos. That's what we need at once, you have the truck already a few months, it's about time we see what it is capable of.
His latest video got removed?
Yeah, no clue why. Is there info about this somewhere?
It got re-uploaded then removed again!?
@@SparkyFolf Yeah I dunno what's going on. Looks like he uploaded a different video now.
If Scania came here the others would collapse.
If you are talking about Usa Scania are already there. There are dealers all over Usa selling Scania marine engines, industrial engines, power generating engines and electric power systems. Scania north American head office is in San Antonio Tx. Scania trucks are the only thing not sold in Usa.
Cant help thinking of the environment, do we really need this?
Yes we absolutely do.
You ever use planes to vacation or trip to places you do not really need to fly to ?
@@bjornarsteine3922 I guarantee you he also loves reasonaly priced commodities, emergency electricity at hospitals and all other critical infrastructure and the list goes on and on.
More than private jets at least. But really no.
Yes.
Bruce need Rian to filming videos,
Another vehicle using Scania V8.

European tec in a american boat😂
think id go with a single of these bigboi engines. twins or more have very diminishing returns on speed and fuel consumption
The dual engines are for reliability as well. A lot of yachts which go out into the ocean will have twin engines. You don't want to get stuck in the middle of the ocean cause one broke down.
@@hankrearden5460 its a valid thought process for engines running on gasoline, less so for diesels imo. also, there is more that can go wrong with a more complex system. but sure
Standing in front of the truck in the beginning i failed for a moment to catch its the reflection on the bumper, and thought, F*** did you scratch the shit out of it...
Phew.. thankfully not..
wtf is a YATCH
It is the new next generation Yacht, Yatches are better than Yachts :D
Can't believe you don't know what a yatch is
Almost went with a Scania repower in my boat. ended up going with john deeres instead
WHAT in the name of God is he doing looking at boats? Isn't he supposed to be showing the truck to potential buyers?
He is creating content that's what UA-camrs do I guess.
And since brand new Scania engines are available for the US market but Trucks aren't showing applications where they use Scania engines makes sense I guess... Although I agree I rather see Americans experiencing the truck.
same engines as the truck but with 1100hp?
I guess it's the same block. Butt then there are some diffrence. An boat engien works allt hardet than a truck engien.
yeah you heard of tuning XD the engine is tuned differently. the engine in the truck is running at 50 percent of it max probably for durability longevity etc, in a boat these thing are different, engines arent exposed to the outside elements as much as you can see these engine rooms are spectaculairly clean and get much more maintenaince than a truck does.
Marine engines don’t have the same emission requirements so they can turn them up a bit more spicy
@ thats what i figured, no exhaust treatments to worry about.
@@ricardomeertens9165 In general boat engines have to be more reliable as car engines, especially for offshore boats.
This camera man sucks he can’t point the camera where Bruce is taking about
He might not hear him as we do.
Should hade used the Jet turbines out of a CB90 :P
Typical American old school crap. In Scandinavia we have variable pitch propellers and hydraulic gearboxes that allows for slippisch, so that we are able to control the propeller thrust perfectly.
Isn't ZF German?
Buddy of mine has a Scania like that in his commercial fishing boat blew up on him this year and his having a hard time getting it going still
What an ironic name for the boat since. The Mack V8 is what the Scania V8 was designed off of.
go to Mar-a-lago and give Trump a ride in that truck.
Convince him to give Scania permission to import these trucks into USA.
reason for it would be to force the US truck manufacturers to up their game and make trucks Great again in USA.
President Trump would be fine with Scania if they built them here. I think that's their in. Like many other European car companies who build cars in the states.
I know it’s bright in Florida but sunglasses are a turn off on video.
Sunglasses are a necessity outside. Inside it is a different story.
Camera guy sucks.
He seems fine to me
so i see now your whole podcast is about a scania truck it gets so old you do nothing but talk about that one truck boring
