It's as if they screened which sharks were allowed in to act in this scene. Smaller but just as deadly sharks would not be allowed in this scene because they could have gotten in. A narrower much safer-take-no-chance-cage-build would mean less drama. So the scene director, after screening the shark sizes made the cage larger, enhanced the bait scent and yelled to the sharks "Action." That's UA-cam I guess! I bet those sharks that got jammed after getting so far into the cage yelled "this is uh...reel click bait." :>)
Dear NGC, Unnecessary sound effects and jump cuts with the narrator repeating the same bloody line 3 different ways is outdated. Yours Faithfully, Everyone.
I can't believe that they use bait boxes to attract the sharks. I always thought the cage was only to protect the human (psychologically anyway) in an area where the sharks naturally swim. Glad that I know this now, coz I wanted to swim with sharks and was considering cage diving. This is wrong.
Well, aside from the obvious baiting, they are also electrically sensitive. Annnnnd.... you're in cages using cameras, moving around, making sounds, etc. Makes sense to me that, when they can't see the bait, they'd go after the cages.
How would you if you were in that position and the guy managing the speakers started playing the Jaws theme song? It's probably in the sweet spot of he right sound range?
*humans inside a cage Shark: "Oh, who put you in there?! Thats not right. Let me help you out, before.... the turtles come. 😬" Humans: "Oh look, its attacking us. What a horrible monster..." Then... the turtles came. And the peope on the boat winded up a empty cage.... DAM DAM DAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!
What if the guy managing the speakers had started playing the Jaws theme song? 3:40 I wouldn't be able to decide between amused or nervous. Combination of both, "oh nice one" and "are you F*n serious?". How would you react to that?
People: Why are sharks attacking cages? Also People: Dragging baits at high speeds right by the cages and blasting them with sonar, radar, and chum/bait boxes *facepalm
I thought sharks had more sensory organs that allow them to detect vibrations other than just traditional ears. Regardless, great video, another large step for science!
they had no control, they should have tried with bait aswell and see if it made the sharks agressive. its very rare for cage dives to end in attacks, so chances are any random time you attrack them with bait they wont be agressive.
There are videos of sharks literally peacefully swimming with uncaged divers and swimmers who are just chilling in the water. Poor sharks are probably hurting themselves on the cages.
My people in Polynesia been knowin this for millenia. It's how they snare in the shark to offer it as a sacrifice. Sound. A specific sound. There's an ancient legend behind it as well.
I see a bigger problem. Those huuuge openings in the cages, would never enter such a cage unless it's made by my specifications...no big holes( max 40cm) and no mesh. Even better, don't swim with them
In Russia at the moment the area of forests on fire is 3.5 million hectares. Forests have been burning for 3 months in the richest regions in terms of natural resources. From there diamonds, gold, oil, gas are pumped out and exported abroad, but at the same time the region is drowning in poverty, no resources are allocated to extinguish fires.
I’m sorry I’m watching this whole video and I’m not a shark expert but I know this whole thing is just all again theory it’s all guesswork. I think it’s great that people do you want to study about the wildlife in the ocean such a sharks and stuff they have a better understanding. They have to have concrete proof and they don’t.
Diver in a cage is like the dog treat stuck inside a rubber ball for the dogs, the sharks find it interesting and rewarding to get the treat. Why would anyone want to be live bait ?
Cage diving should be forbidden. They hurt the animals and sometimes even case their deaths. When are we going to learn some respect for the animals and stop hurting them for our amusement?
Only the sharks know that they're trying to rescue the caged human aggressively!
Lol
Aww that changes my mindset LOL
Bro please stop lmao
Well remember when your parents told you to not reach your hand into the cages at the zoo?
*Well Sharks never learned that lesson.*
@Tin Tinlol 😝😝
*Humans in cage*
Sharks: Oh my fins, that human is trapped! If I don’t do something dolphins will poke me to death!
Why is that gap in the bars so large??? It's the exact size of the sharks they're trying to keep out

It's to fit the camera. But ya it's so dumb to compromise their's and the shark's safety just to get a good video.
Why there is a wide space in the middle of the cage? Just like a welcoming door for the shark 😅
Its for the diver to breath properly 😂😂
@@The_Kennel_Guy under the water?

@@The_Kennel_Guy yeah, a bad one

Dear NGC,

HERE HERE!!!
I didn't even like it back when it wasn't outdated.
Thank you

100%
WOW.. Boy did this segment get the enhanced drama treatment.
Should have been why sharks run into cage divers rather than attack.
"This highlighted bait box is full of chum."
Plankton is overworking
Seems like a good approach to test thing out👍Thank for this NG.
I have a feeling that the jaws theme music with its low frequencies would have a similar effect
I was thinking the exact same thing. I would be saying to myself BOTH "Oh nice move" AND "Are you F*n serious?".
I dont think ive seen anything as terrifying as a charging shark. That was crazy. Was ruthless like a bullet.
I know now sharks favorite music is heavy metal.
Well, aside from the obvious baiting, they are also electrically sensitive. Annnnnd.... you're in cages using cameras, moving around, making sounds, etc.

Right? Some mystery
Sharks,so powerful animals!really a great documentary 👏
Ah, NatGeo, the PREMIER channel for scientific research using one anecdotal study to reach a conclusion
In just 1 dive/experiment they determined this..?
Crazy, this is ludicrous..
Sharks are like vampires as soon as they smell blood , they go Nutts
Not really actually there’s a video when they pour different bloods the sharks weren’t even attracted to most of the bloods
and what's the bait in 4:44 for ¿?
As scary as this is, I'd love to do this one day!
Maybe with a submarine and prayers ;)
Luckily for you, every Darwin Award is posthumous.
How would you if you were in that position and the guy managing the speakers started playing the Jaws theme song? It's probably in the sweet spot of he right sound range?
I feel bad for them, imagine they are naturally following the bait and end up smashing their faces into the cage 😔
*humans inside a cage
Shark: "Oh, who put you in there?! Thats not right. Let me help you out, before.... the turtles come. 😬"
Humans: "Oh look, its attacking us. What a horrible monster..."
Then... the turtles came. And the peope on the boat winded up a empty cage....
DAM DAM DAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!
Even worse, Shark's breath by moving. When this shark was caught between the bars of that cage, likely it was struggling to breath.
What if the guy managing the speakers had started playing the Jaws theme song? 3:40 I wouldn't be able to decide between amused or nervous. Combination of both, "oh nice one" and "are you F*n serious?".
How would you react to that?
would be interesting to see how they react to seal or other prays heart beat frequencies or call sounds

Another Brilliant Well Put Together Video All The Best.
2:27 the music might attract the sharks but the loud heavy bass "background" music put me right off this video. So many channels do the same.
Nice video
Very cool about the music.
I’m
Going to have nightmares again
they had no control, they should have tried with bait aswell and see if it made the sharks agressive. its very rare for cage dives to end in attacks, so chances are any random time you attrack them with bait they wont be agressive.
Why can't they make cages with smaller gaps between the cage bars?
That is beautiful =with the music...
Does anyone know where I can watch the full clip at the .07 mark?
Would be so lit playing some bass boosted Korn down there and watching the sharks while just jammin out in the cage.
Wow 🤩 amazing channel.. I like national geographic channel
Another pretty awesome Shark Week video
There are videos of sharks literally peacefully swimming with uncaged divers and swimmers who are just chilling in the water. Poor sharks are probably hurting themselves on the cages.
Wow Sharks have so much power🦈😔
The cage must full of screens for the safety of the divers..
Shark: " Party over here!"
this is more interesting then I thought it would be.
WOW! THIS IS SCARY 😨
My people in Polynesia been knowin this for millenia. It's how they snare in the shark to offer it as a sacrifice. Sound. A specific sound. There's an ancient legend behind it as well.
The sharks have clearly seen Jaws.
It doesn't look right to make such conclusion with a single shark. That specific animal might not be in the mood for a cute marine biologist
I really like your videos, long-lasting interaction registration👍👍💖💖
Can anyone tell me the music they played for the sharks? Who performed it?
Darkest Hour Enter Oblivion
Nice and good thank you
Magnanimous Creatures❕ 🦈
They are following the appetizing bait attached to the rope to the humans which are the main dish.
In Russia at the moment the area of forests on fire is 3.5 million hectares😱😱😱😱😱
And it's happening in siberia. One of the coldest regions on earth .
Interesting 🧐💭🎶
Anyone know the song??
Darkest Hour Enter Oblivion
Berdebar-debar menonton tayangan ini. Keren NG.
Today I learned that sharks are metalheads.
How people love playing with sharks.)
I see a bigger problem. Those huuuge openings in the cages, would never enter such a cage unless it's made by my specifications...no big holes( max 40cm) and no mesh. Even better, don't swim with them
That is the scariest thing I ve ever seen
Nice
Ух страшно, но не оторваться
Scary
When Mark Rober films about shark attacks then
That's wonderful. Good for her! I hope companies stop using the baits, but change is often slow.
That cage gap is wayyy too wide.

Could it be hunger?
I know right!!! They're fresher meat!!
I guess they never seen 47 meters down
Good
That shark is from UA-cam. He's coming to check it the music is copyrighted.
That was kinda cool
It might ram the cage if you played slayer...I would
Wow~!
4:40 top right
Is that bait
poor thing
Not exactly a mystery.
It's Shark Week MATES!!!!!
It's more like, why sharks also attack cage divers.
Interesting, now go solve world hunger.
Vibrations in the water from speaker.
They played Billie Jean and the sharks swam backwards.
I Never gonna do this in my life 😨😨😨
So sharks love the beat drops?
Hey Human, let me rescue you.

I would only be surprised if the sharks came to the divers house with a machine guns 🤔
Страшно как
Obviously the divers are the ones invading and not the weak bait.

The gaps in the cage are always quite wide, is there a reason for this?
For humans to escape for whatever reason they need to (eg. the people on the boat aren't reeling them up)
Yo , WE KNOW WHY sharks go after people in the shark proof cages .
wow
Nah you should play baby shark song instead
Cage diving should be forbidden. They hurt the animals and sometimes even case their deaths. When are we going to learn some respect for the animals and stop hurting them for our amusement?
4:44 ...
"cause no bait"--Yet there is a small portion of fish tied to a hook where the shark is circling. Trump voice: "Fake Documentary!"
Por favor, please, subtitular en Español, spain
nice
how are you
Maybe the shark didn't attack the cage that time because he liked the song. Play some Lady Gaga however and the shark would of became Jaws.
Nicee shark video
Obviously sharks like metal. ☆
