To be fair, this is one of the craziest and uncanny things I've ever seen filmed. This man's diving stands for the true meaning of what lucid dreaming may be. As mesmerizing as it was disturbing: climbing trees under water, walking underwater sands, side-climbing amazing cliffs. He takes us for a walk in the upside down world, like an atlantis' inhabitant.
Don't forget: diving into an underwater frozen lake and waves crashing into an underwater beach. I too was absolutely entranced by this upside down world.

He doesn't jump into air. It is an underwater cave called "Cenote Angelita" in Mexico which is also a halocline. A halocline occurs when fresh water sits on top of salt water and the difference in their salinity keeps them separate. The mist and the beach like effect that you see is hydrogen sulphide moving around independently in between fresh and salt water. 5:52 if you look closely you can see that it doesn't behave like tides on a beach. It's just a dense gas trapped between water with different salinity levels.

I feel like he traveled the whole ocean. Both him and the cameraman. This video was splendidly done and I feel like it has taken my breath away...literally.
The fact that he’s FREEDIVING in underwater caves and under ice, some of the most dangerous underwater environments to be in, is a testament to his skill.
@4AD4 I understand your skepticism, but frankly, I didn’t ask and I don’t appreciate it. Just let people enjoy this without constantly questioning if it’s real or not, please. It’s annoying to see these kinds of things and it detracts from the experience. It’s not as helpful as you think it is.

I thought you were going to comment on how he looked weightless and elegant, like a superhero with the ability to fly, but the spandex-thong situation is actually more accurate.
There is something unbelievably captivating about his dives. I was fascinated by his TED talks and the descriptions he gave. I hold my breath for a max of 2 minutes and I dive up to 8 meters, and I am content, but Guillaume is a master and has opened our eyes to what humans are capable of.
The mammalian diving reflex is weird. You know there's even coincidental physiological things that happen when people get so deep that their lungs should be crushed, that actually keep them from being crushed. It makes me wonder whether humans could become an amphibious species given the right evolutionary pressures.
The camera person might have had an oxygen tank just to be safe, but there have been documented instances of people holding their breath for 10-15min while spear hunting fish. It takes an insane amount of training
@Jonathon Sciola I've read that the average free divers can hold their breathe up to 2 mins (the average). They probably did many shoots and had breaks between them.
Stunning and absolutely terrifying all at once! Whales are such gentle and tolerant creatures. After all that magic what a disappointment to be back in the open air. Thank you for this gift.
The way he runs underwater is the same feeling when someone chases me in my dreams. Having a hard time, too tiring running away from that someone! Scary!
Same! Finally, someone who has the same dream as I am, my friends and family havent experience dreaming of being chased and running with full effort but slowmo
He doesn't look like he's under water to me he looks like he's flying around in his own dream. This very well made it clear to me how scared I am of wide spaces
I love how they shot the scenes to look like he was running and climbing through the forests of the sea. Very much a surreal dream! My fav was when he was shot swimming upside down near the surface of the water, but it was made to look like he was actually walking towards the ocean and leaping off into the water, only to float away instead of plunge below.

10:51 What an amazing scene; they're all at the surface enjoying it not knowing there is a whole different world down there while he just casually walks by after going on an exploration of the vast underworld
Exactly what i Thought!
It's bizarre to think, we have alot of worlds to explore, from the deep sea to the universe but we just don't have the power to do so
This is something beyond this world.. excellence at its best..i was in awe of the scenes captured whole time..
okay but if you read the description, you’ll realize the other person filming is his wife and shes ALSO free diving. thats actually insane.
yup this short film is true art
i think he wore her wetsuit then!
Will Chill XD
You hella fire lol
Snap?
I feel like he traveled the whole ocean. Both him and the cameraman. This video was splendidly done and I feel like it has taken my breath away...literally.
Stop
Bruh i habe a question, cnan you breath ?
It is awesome I love this video it’s very pretty and scary at the same time
The 'cameraman' is his wife, who was also freediving while filming all the segments.
@@ussopfanclub1111😂😂😂
The fact that he’s FREEDIVING in underwater caves and under ice, some of the most dangerous underwater environments to be in, is a testament to his skill.
yes yes bravo !!!!!!
@@VirgoArtsOfficial it is not real. literally there is sea people from indonesia there, while he probably in us coast
He has a dive buddy.
@@wolfgang5496 Yes, and? It’s still dangerous, even with a dive buddy. Can you please let me enjoy this without trying to cheapen it for me?
As a free diver coming out the ocean to the crowd on the beach brings back memories more so when i first started. You cant believe theres a whole other world out there!
This is what it feels like to run in my dreams
that's so true haha - I recently found out that when I'm riding a bike I can go faster and in any direction - way more convenient than walking like you were under water :D
Charli W yes! Me too! Also driving 😯😓🤔
Lmao!😂😂 exactly what I was thinking!! I could feel that struggle of running during a vivid dream watching this guy
Aaaw so trueeee
soo trueee hahahaha i couldn't run fast in the dream world its so frustating
The ocean is like literally another world
95 percent of the ocean is unexplored and we know more about are solar system than Earth’s oceans
that sad? There’s no we. It’s actually scientist that know more about the solar system. You’re not part of that so don’t say we.
@@ChapoGuzman896 nah he is right its we. scientiests defently know more... but ''we'' defently know more about the universe and so on that our oceans why? because there is 95% of information about it
@@ChapoGuzman896 if you wanted to, you could research it.
@@ChapoGuzman896 ''we'' as in the human race, if we're talking about professions its possible to say that ''we'' know more about the ocean than the solar systems if for example we're talking about oceanographers.
Guillaume: free diving like a boss
me: *stepping on seaweed* WHAT MONSTER IS THIS?!
lmfao
🤣🤣🤣
One of the most beautiful things I have ever seen...
This guy is like a superhero. He wore his spandex first before his undies.
I thought you were going to comment on how he looked weightless and elegant, like a superhero with the ability to fly, but the spandex-thong situation is actually more accurate.
Wym lol if its on the outside didnt he put it on after
@@agentj3319 Yes...? That's what they said.
Agent J thats what they said.....?
Lol
So no one is gonna talk about the cameraman captured these beautiful shots !
His wife
@@abrahamling7292 okay?
I thounght exactly the same... The cameraman who captured such picturesque images is the actual artist in this video.
@@ulysses_grant his wife recorded it
@@killerkhalsa27 cameraWOMAN okay.
This is how I feel when I go underwater in the deep end of a pool
😂😂😂😂😂
Fr
i feel tho 🤣
Fr
xD you are not made for water? ...
There is something unbelievably captivating about his dives. I was fascinated by his TED talks and the descriptions he gave. I hold my breath for a max of 2 minutes and I dive up to 8 meters, and I am content, but Guillaume is a master and has opened our eyes to what humans are capable of.
As a SCUBA diver (ocean dive to be exact) i can say that this is just as terrifying as it looks!
yet very...beauitful...
Not without the music
I think another scuba diver on his crew gave him some of their air? Still incredible though
a weeb and a diver badass
The mammalian diving reflex is weird. You know there's even coincidental physiological things that happen when people get so deep that their lungs should be crushed, that actually keep them from being crushed. It makes me wonder whether humans could become an amphibious species given the right evolutionary pressures.
Every 5 seconds im like, ok time to go up now buddy, but he just never does
The editing does that for him.
Exactly
DeadlyGoat
Same here, when he started traversing those rocks and I could see the distance from there, until his next breath I was like....
✨😧✨
He push the limit brother
The camera person might have had an oxygen tank just to be safe, but there have been documented instances of people holding their breath for 10-15min while spear hunting fish. It takes an insane amount of training
Does the dark and giantness of the ocean scare tf out of anyone else
EDIT: Thanks for the 9k likes and 136 comments. Love yall
YES. its so SUBLIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I get so anxious watching the darkness of the ocean :S
Looks beautiful tho ngl
@Amicle YT its not thats the general anxiety for open water or the ocean in general.
Yeah mate
Easily one of the most beautiful and incredible videos I’ve ever seen
"Julie Gautier, Néry’s wife, filmed the piece while free diving as well."
Jocsan Menjivar 😯🤯
Jonathon Sciola bruh
@Jonathon Sciola I've read that the average free divers can hold their breathe up to 2 mins (the average). They probably did many shoots and had breaks between them.
I am literally trying to breathe for him..
😂😭
Keep trying 🥺.
AHAHAHA reading your comment, I'm trying too 😄
please don't :)
Same 😰
Even the bloody Corona virus said “I ain’t touching this guy” with lungs like that
Hahahahaa
lol
HAHAHAHAHA
Looool
Wkwk true
This is among the videos I can't forget. I came back after many years to see it again. What an amazing footage so unreal.
That was eerie and beautiful and awe inspiring all at the same time. I've truly never seen anything like it.
Exactly! Always wanted to try this out. Hey you wanna sit on my face so I can take a practice run?
exactly!
That’s how i run in my dreams when there is a monster coming at me
Omg your so right! Haha
same
Chubby Baekhyun hahhahahha
LMAO I hate it do much what I meant is It's happened to me too
Yes. That often happened to my dreams as well
My brain: Hold your breath.
Me: Why tho?
My brain: You just gotta.
its the other way around,
Me: Hold my breath.
My brain: naaahhh
13 minutes later
I'm thinking.....uuum....how long is this guy going to hold his breath? What is he? Superman or something? Anyone else would be dead, dead, dead!!
....Youll Experience Another World!!!🤫🐳🐠🦑🤣👀
@@tiawannarichmonde250 You do realize it's an edit of many different videos right?
Stunning and absolutely terrifying all at once! Whales are such gentle and tolerant creatures. After all that magic what a disappointment to be back in the open air. Thank you for this gift.
The way he runs underwater is the same feeling when someone chases me in my dreams. Having a hard time, too tiring running away from that someone! Scary!
Ryan Ryan Same dude. I thought I was the only one who experienced this.
Same! Finally, someone who has the same dream as I am, my friends and family havent experience dreaming of being chased and running with full effort but slowmo
I know that too. Very scary.
@@DrWaKing this is how i run in my dream how crazy it happens to others to
Ryan Ryan bro this is one of the realest comments😂
why did it feel like I was running out of breath yet I'm chilling in bed?
Mlungisi Mdwaba 😂same
My chest and lungs both hurt now.
Same.
