Agreed. I liked Karlee but knew she has space to grow, and I think Mei will debut in another group for sure. There are one or two people that seem a bit overrated though.

Mission 1, though short she was in charge of blending, mission 2 she got yunjin's part which we haven't even heard yunjin sing live without backtrack. Her hype came mostly from tiktok, videos of her singing and dancing alone. Dream Academy doesn't really fully showcase the girl's talents with just those 2 performances they released. I believe the girls are the best judges of their skills. 14 members choosing Sophia tells us a lot.

So looking at it from a western marketing perspective. Sophia is a ace so most likely will be like a leader for the group. Nayoung, Lara and samara will make it. They will be the vocal trinity. Lara because of her voice and production abilities and Samara because of her unique voice it’s noticeable you will know it’s their group if you hear her. Nayoung obviously because of her voice! But she is Korean but has a global aesthetic to her. They will never put Megan and Daniella in the same group their to much alike and share the same energy. I’m personally leaning towards Daniella but idk 🤷🏾♀️. Most ppl will hate this but manon going to be in the group. An most likely will be a visual center. Only person I see replacing any of these ppl is maybe Celeste but if they do it will be for Samara because Celeste also has tha unique voice that stands out. So they can’t have both. So when you look at the girls, I know ppl like to focus on fans voting and talent. But they have to pick a group that can market and sale globally. So if theirs ppl that matches most likely one is not going to make it. Theirs only one singer like Lara, theirs only one Korean girl that has a global aesthetic that has a more western vocal sound nayoung, theirs only one girl that give model looks and features that’s manon, theirs on one girl who is like and ace Sophia. Again Daniella, Emily, ua and Megan are all main dancers. Marquise, Lexie and ezrela are all pretty floaters. Celeste and yoonchae are popular amongst the fans but not with judges and yoonchae is more kpop then global. So from a marketing standpoint it might be Sophia, Samara, Manon, Lara, Daniella, and Nayoung.
Now that Samara is likely not gonna debut, who do U think would replace her? Imo ezrelq because even tho she's indian like Lara, they both have diff focuses. Lara is very vocally based while ezrela is dance based. Plus she is a great moodlifter and that one person who will likely attract ppl cuz of her personality.
The contestants that caught my eye so far are nayoung, yunchae, megan, sophia, lexie, and ua. hope this girls debut. i feel sad for mei she should've gotten through. i was also rooting for her. sadly, she got eliminated
Votes don't count for much. They make that very clear. If that's what 'rigged' means, I guess it is. I love the show, especially compared to Korean survival shows. They aren't forming a Kpop group, it will be an American vocal group that borrows the best Kpop elements. H7be will have a girl group toehold in America and a sister group for Le Sserafim.
I'm so happy I'm not the only one thinking that some girls are boring and meh. All the girls are talented and brave for giving this a go plus a heap after being eliminated won't give up. I believe young people need to hear that and don't get discouraged about continuing their dream after being told NO.
IMO, this show lacks episodes, episodes where they show the public whatever is happening offcam. Take Babymonster's debut show as an example. Everyone got to know each of the girls because we've seen what they're doing before their missions and it gave us time to really critique their performance.
This show is showing talent not the story of individual .. because they are gifted to have true talent but I think on the Netflix will be releasing soon their story .
