I don't think it was a good idea to divide vocals and dance, they should have given everyone a chance to showcase both vocals and dance at a same time. They missed a gem like this to be honest. I honestly think the judges already know who the members are going to be and so are speed running it to try and get the positives generally occur in survival shows (e.g. loyal fanbase), whilst then having that Netflix documentary and appealing to the west. I think the Weverse is an aim to appeal to the Asian audience and thus, we get a balanced group. The only problem is their intentions is quite transparent and they've been getting backlash from RUNext as well as the format of the show/treatment of Manon and Brookyln so it would be interesting to see how events pan out from here. On that note, the way the female judges portrayed Manon is shady af. I wouldn't quite say it's racism, as there could be other reasons, but it's definitely a potential reason why they're so iffy about her joining the group. I disagree with your take on Adela though. She was definitely serving charisma! My personal favs so far is Ezrela (of course), Daniella, Samara, Marquise, Lara and Nayoung (the later two just need to debut together, the chemistry is insane!).
I will continue watching it but the format is really weird. They need more content! It’s a shame to have this format because it affects the way it’s being viewed, failing to show much of the talent the girls have and seriously… Hybe and Geffen could do better seeing as they are big companies that have invested a lot of money into this. It really amazes me how (some) ppl genuinely belive this won't be and _"cannot"_ be rigged, like, c'mon... 1) it's Hybe. They have a history. They rigged a whole fucking show 15 minutes ago. 2) They know they will get away with it so... _why not just do it?_ (because even when ppl claim they won't support a group they always end up eating whatever said group puts out and the few ppl who actually do not show any kind of support are not enough to affect the group or the company). 3) They already got a group formed, maybe not the members, but they already decided the concept of the group, the image, the music and maybe they even have deals with clothing and makeup brands, so of course they are gonna select the girls who fit the concept better. 4) The fact that there's no show of 10 episodes of 2 hours with a 3 hours finale just makes it easier to manipulate and rigg. In a normal show at least you can see when somebody is being evil edited or favored but since "there's no show" you will literally only see what is been pre approved. So yeah... I don't see why some ppl think this is gonna be a fair show...
Every survival show already has a prepared concept for the groups they debut; and don't you think you should see more of the show before coming to conclusions. And mind you, this project is not only run by Hybe, it's Hybe and Geffen, do you really think they would be so bold as to do stuff like that?

I agree with most of your opinions but I personally don't think Manon deserved top 4 and a position higher than Lara based on Mission 1. I don't think she particularly shined even during her (very minimal) parts. I hope she'll get the chance to prove herself more in the future challenges though
I read somewhere that it was the "pity votes" that made manon surpass lara. Its something like the more the judges try to outcast her the more people will give her sympathy votes.
I feel for Lara cause imo she was one of if not the best vocalist based on the performances I saw and it was snatched from her because people wanted manon to be safe (pretty privilege imo)

We need more content of the prep via the "1 min vlogs" they do. We also should've opted for singing/some singing via line distribution+dancing audition round 1 performances > either role. U can do the produce series' or runext round topics/format easily since going from auditions/covers round 1->positions->og songs->finale. Mainly cuz we lack content for the process, so we should figure out potential singing+dancing simultaneously skills quickly- vlogs should be longer smh. Also, the rigging rumors cuz judges have final say again for (my estimation) max half the eliminated per round imo; rumors they use our voting for insight on decisions, but try to eliminate those who rank too low still smh. Many people on social media found out abt contestants' skills via social media>the show, esp if the girls did more than their 1 position in round 1-
HYBE could have invested more in the show, well that really isn't even a show, I guess since they will already have the finalists chosen and so people connect less with the discarded ones, otherwise I don't see why they are doing it like this...
I don't mind it not having episodes because runext burned me out but i think they should have more behind videos that are like 25-30 minute long videos to show of the girls more but that could just be for the documerty.
I dont see anything fantastic about team a vocal. If ever, I would only give credit to Ilya and Karlee. So to say that there are no winners or losers in vocal teams is hilarious, because its very obvious that team b (individually and as a group) hands down took the trophy in this category.
Manon is beautiful, talented and has a great voice but her vocal performance was severely lacking. When delivering her lines, especially the first one, she had what I'd call a dead fish energy. She seemed like she didn't wanna be there. That's poor showmanship

I think the reason for the format of the show on UA-cam is like this is because they'll have a documentary on Netflix next year. So it'll give a more detailed experience of the competition. Regarding HYBE rigging, even if they don't the fans will assume they did because their favourites didn't make it or got eliminated too soon. Just vote if you want or watch it unfold. I have my picks and will be voting but that's as much as I can control.
Idk who i want in the final line up tbh The two vocalists that call the most attention to me are Sophia and Samara talent wise They probaly have the best range and are overall the best vocalists But Nayoung and Lara just have this incredible chemistry togueter Amon also has a very good tone and would be valuable to have (she and Celeste look and sound good togueter too) For dance i think Emily, Megan and Daniella are the best talent wise (my favorite is Emily tho) Ezrela, Au, Mei, Yoonchae and Marquize are good performers Eye catching with good expressions I also like Karlee even if i dont think shes gonna make it tbh. I first was very exited for this show because the cast was really diverse for once and the concept they set was also interesting but then they just really began to ruin it. Like they laid out the missions but did almost not say in the videos when it was uploaded also if you did not know about hybe+ you can only just watch their performances and just even with hybe plus there's such a lack of contant which makes it difficult to judge on skills, and people are just voting for their country or who they find the most prettiest. Also with voting it was so badly explained. I didn't know even that it was happening until I watched the results of the first mission, because this was also NEVER explained in a video that it would happen through voting you just needed to find out via twitter or weverse that it was happening. And also with the elimination they are just so much confusing saying "2 will be eliminated" what? Groups or people? They're just really confusing everyone. Also with their newest evaluation things definitely took a turn to the worst. That woman was just bashing everyone for "voting for our country" which definitely is happening for some part but it was also so uncalled for. If you don't like it why even let people vote to begin with and also saying you shouldn't vote for your country when they're literally promoting everyone via their country with tge flags and all. Also there are definitely people voting based on skills but it's not out fault that we get to see such lack of content that we're just going of off what we know. We don't see their progress, we don't see those 'details' that they're pointing out. Also in that video they just skip over some contestants which makes it even more difficult because the only time we can see some critical overlook you're just skipping people. I'm just beginning to notice they're definitely already having favoritism for some contestants and they show that through those evaluation videos but also in line distribution. An example is Marquis (sorry if it's typed wrong) she only got one small line in the second mission and they skipped here in the evaluation video. But also with other contestants you can see they're clearly trying to push their opinion on us. To conclude they really had a great set up and they could have really made this work well if they promoted it better and gave us more content. They just ruined it beause of all these different things I talked about. It's honestly just sad to see because I really was exited for this because it looked so promising. I just hope that at least the final line-up won't have any controversy. (Sorry for my rant btw)

Manons vocal’s definitely didn’t sound as good and I think that’s because she has never actually sang before as mentioned in her prep vlog. I do think she was ranked a bit too high especially above Lara? I get that she is black and people want her to be in the group to support black people but samara is also black but she genuinely has amazing talent and the judges praised her during the evaluation. We need to see more of manon which is hoping we will in the next mission so she can prove herself. I just wish the votes weren’t all about race, nationality or ethnicity and more to do with talent

But yes, I hope we can hear more from her voice in the 2nd mission, because she really only had 2 lines and some adlibs, you can make 0 conclusions out of that.

I dont see anything fantastic about team a vocal. If ever, I would only give credit to Ilya and Karlee. So to say that there are no winners or losers in vocal teams is hilarious, because its very obvious that team b (individually and as a group) hands down took the trophy in this category.

Manon is beautiful, talented and has a great voice but her vocal performance was severely lacking. When delivering her lines, especially the first one, she had what I'd call a dead fish energy. She seemed like she didn't wanna be there. That's poor showmanship

I think the reason for the format of the show on UA-cam is like this is because they'll have a documentary on Netflix next year. So it'll give a more detailed experience of the competition. Regarding HYBE rigging, even if they don't the fans will assume they did because their favourites didn't make it or got eliminated too soon.

They probaly have the best range and are overall the best vocalists
But Nayoung and Lara just have this incredible chemistry togueter
Amon also has a very good tone and would be valuable to have (she and Celeste look and sound good togueter too)
For dance i think Emily, Megan and Daniella are the best talent wise
(my favorite is Emily tho)
Ezrela, Au, Mei, Yoonchae and Marquize are good performers

I first was very exited for this show because the cast was really diverse for once and the concept they set was also interesting but then they just really began to ruin it. Like they laid out the missions but did almost not say in the videos when it was uploaded also if you did not know about hybe+ you can only just watch their performances and just even with hybe plus there's such a lack of contant which makes it difficult to judge on skills, and people are just voting for their country or who they find the most prettiest. Also with voting it was so badly explained. I didn't know even that it was happening until I watched the results of the first mission, because this was also NEVER explained in a video that it would happen through voting you just needed to find out via twitter or weverse that it was happening. And also with the elimination they are just so much confusing saying "2 will be eliminated" what? Groups or people? They're just really confusing everyone.
Also with their newest evaluation things definitely took a turn to the worst. That woman was just bashing everyone for "voting for our country" which definitely is happening for some part but it was also so uncalled for. If you don't like it why even let people vote to begin with and also saying you shouldn't vote for your country when they're literally promoting everyone via their country with tge flags and all. Also there are definitely people voting based on skills but it's not out fault that we get to see such lack of content that we're just going of off what we know. We don't see their progress, we don't see those 'details' that they're pointing out. Also in that video they just skip over some contestants which makes it even more difficult because the only time we can see some critical overlook you're just skipping people. I'm just beginning to notice they're definitely already having favoritism for some contestants and they show that through those evaluation videos but also in line distribution. An example is Marquis (sorry if it's typed wrong) she only got one small line in the second mission and they skipped here in the evaluation video. But also with other contestants you can see they're clearly trying to push their opinion on us.
To conclude they really had a great set up and they could have really made this work well if they promoted it better and gave us more content. They just ruined it beause of all these different things I talked about. It's honestly just sad to see because I really was exited for this because it looked so promising. I just hope that at least the final line-up won't have any controversy.

I agree about brooklyn. She got a lot of lines. I don't think like her performance. My own opinion though. Don't hate me. It's just the first mission though. 😅

Manons vocal’s definitely didn’t sound as good and I think that’s because she has never actually sang before as mentioned in her prep vlog. I do think she was ranked a bit too high especially above Lara? I get that she is black and people want her to be in the group to support black people but samara is also black but she genuinely has amazing talent and the judges praised her during the evaluation. We need to see more of manon which is hoping we will in the next mission so she can prove herself. I just wish the votes weren’t all about race, nationality or ethnicity and more to do with talent
@@whatsup7064 Manon was ill during those recordings so I can't see how her vocals weren't optimal, but even with that her vocal color is really appealing for me and she was also one of the more stable ones in her group. But yes, I hope we can hear more from her voice in the 2nd mission, because she really only had 2 lines and some adlibs, you can make 0 conclusions out of that.

I think it’s because her vocals were weak in this mission + she was the second to last girl in terms of popularity votes, yet the judges didn’t critique her and gave her the most lines. It’s giving people the vibe that she’s being favored.

The judge didn't mention her name but we all know who she meant. My guess is they are trying to get rid of the black contestants before debut as they did w/ a2k. Hope I'm wrong tho. But east asian and white judges are not going to favor black contestants.
In A2k Savanna made the final debut and she is black, but I don't think they can get rid of Samara she is crazy talented and has many fans
