Oh, and by the way, when you take the weekend to unwind, Fatima makes fantastic videos. I love seeing the PI world from her viewpoint. I mean they enjoy their life. And did you see her younger sister go head over heals off the ebike. And after they see she's alright they laugh their asses off and make her run to catch up. Brings back memories of my rural upbringing.

I have no idea how I went down this Philippines expat rabbit hole 🤣but out of everyone I see your doing it right. I love the channel and glimpse into Philippine life. The chow hall is a baller move. What most of us Americans don't understand is the more you can save and live below your means the more free you are.

Singapore on station. I was in the Philippines for 2 weeks with the gf. Her village outside Iloilo is slightly more urban and developed than Fatima's, but still much the same. We had a great time there. I followed your advice. It works for you and works for me also.
I bought a boat in Danao that I hope to sail to Singapore in August, so we've been crossing paths a bit as I go back and forth.

Happy 4th! Marc I have been watching you for the last 3 to 4 years now. I know you seem to make this trip once a year to Pattaya you always state business. Question, is one of your reasons to reset your visa another year? Could you if so, do a video on immigration visa's meaning all the types etc. I have until 2026 I will be retiring there. My wife has a dual citizenship so I get a 1yr visa coming into the country with her. Keep Moving Forward!

Your beach condo video made a switch go off in my head my friend. I want to thank you for the work you put into letting the rest of the world know what life could be like if they are just willing to look at life in a different perspective. Went to the Philippines for a month with my Filipina wife and daughter for the first time in February past. Great experience and will be back again in January. Keep up all the great work👍🏻👍🏻

I agree with your Marcos, it is all about your perspective on your house. I knew this eldery woman who lived in a small rundown home, she saw it as a beautiful home. Always planting flowers that I finally saw the beauty and why she loved her home.

I have enjoyed watching many of your videos and can relate to your comment of the USA when you say it's very expensive to live here., referring to how much a hotel room is in America. I have found a way to survive on a small income but live month to month. We are a nation of the haves and have nots, I find it awful knowing America is one of the wealthiest nations in the world, yet many of our veterans and citizens have to live in tents due to cost-of-living outpacing jobs and income. And in the midst of this having a leadership which enlists us in endless wars (military industrial complex) allows our borders to be wide open to cartels, drug and human trafficking. We now are experiencing what is called migrant crime. Our country has become divided due to political affiliation. I fear if we do not return an American first agenda and protect our sovernty we may end up like failed countries where socialism has s foothold. I recently found out that Venezuela is the most oil rich country in the world, yet due to corruption the people suffer with out-of-control inflation making their money worthless.

You take care of your family and all it's needs ... food, shelter, healthcare, etc. Not only that, you also help out with Fatima's immediate family with the village trips, which is also great content. Yes, a lot of content is NOT meant to be taken literally for the sake of humor and that's all it is. If one has the mental range of a windshield wiper, probably will not appreciate the intended humor.
I remember when back in the day men could agree to disagree and move on. We will never fully see eye to eye and that's what makes us individuals. But to go out of your way and act like you're the best a man can be is straight up ridiculous. The king is putting it all out there for our entertainment. You either appreciate it or move on. In response to Dan's comments on Marcos' actions from the past and how he treated Fatima. Please do not be so naive, Fatima also uses Marcos. She wanted a better life, why would she marry an older man who is/was a "player" and a "drinker." Marcos has shown his love to Fatima, her family, and most of all his children. Initially, I was not a fan to his previous videos, two years ago I discovered Overroad Stay, and I love it because of Fatima, Forrest, Maria, Grandma, TIta MaeMae, Tita Roquel, Tito Rommel, Flo, Upal, and King Marcos!

One thing you have to understand is the US is a lot bigger than Thailand or the Philippines. In the US demand is always going to outpace supply because we have so many more devices connected to the internet than in those countries. Think about it people here have all sorts of home devices and even their cars connected to the internet.
My internet is great . Not sure where in US you are talking about. When I go to Philippines for 6 months out of the year internet is slow in most places . Electric is questionable! Way you speak about the ladies sometimes it seems very rude how you speak about them. Like you are degrading them. My opinion. Don’t care how you take it .
Marcos, keep your membership page. Viewers who are participating are doing so by choice. Most people who make these negative comments have very little to no experience with the PI or any other SEA country. They don't understand the culture, life and nature of the pinoys. Like you said we all have our "lot" in life, up to us to make to best of it and live it. No amount of money can pay for the peaceful life most pinoys enjoy. They face their struggles, laugh and enjoy a beer at the end of the day. They may not have money but they don't dwell and stress on it like we do here in CONUS. IRT your videos, I think people missed the numerous times that you mentioned in your videos that you are in the "entertainment business". I can say personally it is a great diversion from all the BS, we have to see everyday on media here. I take great joy in the few moments, I can watch your videos and see a glimpse of daily life in the PI And not the BS videos that other vloggers doing with the same ole tired videos with topics that has been covered a million times. I can relate Marcus I can relate. When I got my first new bike over in the Philippines I was at my apartment and my new Kawasaki Avenger sitting outside ,and the maintenance mans son was sitting on my bike. I and my American attitude kicked in from being a life long biker so to speak the biggest disrespect is just going and mounting another man's bike. I was screaming at this kid, must have been all but 16 years old. I'm screaming at this kid like the typical ugly American. This kid had no idea what I was screaming at him about. I went out and pushed him off my bike. It wasn't till later I realized the kid didn't mean anything. Probably never sat on a bike like that and might never again. I still feel like shit about that incident and probably always will.

Marcos opens his life to his viewers slowly and still keeps private aspects private. But having followed from back in the 24 dollar a month apartment days. He puts his wife and children first and then extended family next. He still gives himself a little time to reload and relax and then right back into the family life. He does a better job of it than the majority of dads/husbands. (me included). They enjoy their lives every day. His daughter communicates so well in English and then I discover it's her second language. I am amazed. His son who is afflicted with autism has improved so much since moving closer to family. They eat as a family and take hikes and vacations as a family. His children are surrounded by loving family. I'm a firm believer that we could learn much from the traditional PI family values. However i do not understand why he even reads the negative bullshi......

I know its been awhile since you have been back home but the USA is certainly not behind any country in Asia. There is no way the internet is better in Thailand and the Philippines than the USA. I worked for an internet provider before retiring to the Phil. Internet companies can now provide 5gig to the house and here people are happy if they get 100 to 300 meg. You have your own fiber optic line that is not shared like they seem to do in the Phil.
