- This video is dedicated to the Ortiz/Campos family in Ladera Ranch, CA. They lost their little boy, Jaxon the day after Mother's day on May 13, 2019. He was struck by a car while riding his bike. Our entire town is saddened by this tragedy and he will continue to be missed and loved by our community. Please take a few minutes to watch this video and send prayers and good wishes to this beautiful family.
Their friends and family have set up a Go Fund Me account to help them make changes in our community to create safer neighborhood for kids to play in.
If you would like to donate (any amount would be amazing). I know they would be so appreciative and grateful. You can find their Go Fund Me account here:

@@DebbieAvouxStudio Jaxon went to the same school as my son from kindergarten through 1st grade. Then Jaxon moved to Ladera. We all have been grieving and missing him so much. I will pass along all the prayers to his family. My son has good moments and moments where it's hard. Jaxon was an amazing and the most kind hearted and loving kid.

This is such a beautiful, soulful painting, in it's own right, full of heart and warmth. I didn't know that gorgeous little boy, nor his beautiful family or you, but watching you paint that with all of you in my mind and heart, you had me crying as though i did. My love and thoughts go out to all of you, and to every parent who has ever had to go through such unspeakable loss x
minihoney13 Thank you so much. It is such a heartbreaking story but I know how much Jaxon’s mom and family appreciate the wonderful love and support from people such as yourself. ❤️❤️❤️ Have a wonderful day.
Thank you for sharing this, you did an amazing job.
Joey Cusick Thank you so much Joey. That really means a lot. 💙
Very sorry for the loss of there son! Praying for healing for the family, friends & to the amazing community that came together in remembrance of this beautiful soul! God bless ❤
Thank you Laura 😘. I will pass your prayers along.❤️
This is a wonderful tribute for Jaxon...my heart is heavy as I wept thru whole tutorial. It's so wonderful to see a community come together in a time of great sorrow. He was...& is...well loved by many & what you have created for him,his family...is quite beautiful. I'm not sure if you meant it,thought it... but when I saw that broken limb it made me think of a member of the family tree,gone...but still living in the expanse of the other limbs that still carry him...I'm sure the family will treasure this.
Beth Mulligan Thank you for your kind words Beth. Yes, the broken limb was meant to represent a life cut too short but forever an integral part of their family. 💙. Jacob has become
a very special boy in our community.
Beth Mulligan I wept all the way through as well. I can't help it. I am a substitute teacher and many of my students are this little boy's age.
So sad. Yes when we hear of a tragedy like this we always try to imagine the pain we would feel if we lost one of ours...so nice if you to paint them this . I hope they liked it. New subber.
que dios lo bendiga-may God bless him
My heart breaks for this family. I lost my only child Shane in 2010 in a dirt bike accident, life has changed and it is the hardest thing I have ever went through and still is each day. May God wrap his arms around each of them.
I’m so sorry 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💔🌹
I am so very sorry for the family and their loss, he is a beautiful little boy and looks like he was such a happy guy! What a tragic loss!
Your painting is so beautiful and what a wonderful thoughtful lifetime gift one I think they would hold very dear to their hearts! I know this really isn’t the time and I am rather new to painting. I paint birch and aspen trees but I love what looks like a huge oak tree in your painting and wonder if you could do a video using this tree? It is gorgeous and I would love to learn how to paint it. And what colors you used on it. I have watched the video over and over but it is too fast to catch detail.
Prayers for your neighbors and Jaxon’s family.🙏 He is in Gods arms
Brandy Marrero yes he is definitely in gods arms now. Thank you for your kind words. 💙 I was thinking about doing a tutorial of a similar tree. Thank you for the request. I will put this down as a future project. Have a wonderful day.
We lost our niece she was around the same age. Her name was Tayla she would be 19 🎀 She is with us always in so many ways, 🙌🏽 what you have shared and created in this video has touched me profoundly 🙏🏽🤍✨ my condolences to the family🌟almost a year later 💙
Oh I’m am so sorry for your loss of Tayla. 😢 Thank you for your kind comment. ❤️❤️❤️ Much love and peace to Tayla and all of your family.
What a wonderful gift for the family. I'm sorry a few people gave you thumbs down. I'm not sure why, but I hope they never go through what this family, and your community has. God Bless you.
Thank you Linda. ❤️ I hope they never do either. 😢
Linda, I have noticed and hoping in this case it’s true 🤷🏻♀️ that some will do a thumbs down because it’s sad 😔 😢 not realizing it’s a negative remark. I know sometimes I’m like 🤔 I don’t like this!! But I like it 🤷🏻♀️😉 they need something for that.... I’ll usually hit “like” then put something in the message 🤷🏻♀️😉
So very sorry for your loss. Praying for your family to have peace and for God to hold you in his arms. We don't understand why. but one day you will see sweet Jaxon again. God give you love and peace to get through this. This painting Debbie did with the video is so amazing and touching life goes on and you will never forget your sweet Jaxon.
bonnie benitez thank you Bonnie ❤️
Hi Debbie this is Brandy,
I texted you about the Tree you painted for Jaxon. You mentioned you had also thought about doing a video on a tree. I’ve been trying to paint it but I’m rather new to painting and having a heck of a time figuring out how to paint the leaves you have on the tree. I hate to ask but could you give me some tips and what kind of tree this is? I would appreciate anything you could tell me if you have the time.
Brandy Marrero this tree is based off of a pepper tree but I wasn’t too concerned with it looking like any specific breed of tree. I always start with a dark color and pounce my brush for the first layer to give it a lot of texture. Using an old beat up brush helps because the craziness of the bristles gives it a more random and scattered pattern. Then I add a lighter shade of the green on top of that, then a brighter shade of yellow green, then an even brighter/lighter shade. Each layer you want to add less and less of the pouncing brush technique. And choose where your light is coming from and add the lightest highlights on the side from where the light is coming.
I hope this helps!
@@DebbieAvouxStudio it is very Beautiful 🥰🌹
In our community here in Arizona we recently lost four teenagers in a horrific car accident. Our community came together in the same amazing way that this one did.
I came on UA-cam to see if you've been back lately, have posted any new videos. I had never seen this tribute to Jaxon. My eyes watered. My heart aches for this family.
I know they will never be the same again, but you find a new way to go forward. I lost my grandson. One day I got this urge to paint him. I'm an artist, but had never painted a portrait nor had I painted with oils. I'd go into my little art studio each and shut the door. I needed that private time each day. I turned on music he and I used to listen to together. I cried. I laughed. I got angry he was gone. I found myself talking with him. It was an amazing experience. It was healing. I felt close to him while painting him. After it dried I found myself holding it close to my heart. When I gave the painting to my daughter, his mother, we both cried. I'm so glad I painted it then gave it to her.
I hope you post more videos. I really enjoy them.
Hi
I tried painting your pepper tree but turned out nothing like yours. I know you mentioned you might do a tree video step by step but haven’t seen you post any new video’s
Hope you are doing okay
Brandy Marrero I’m going to try my best to come back this month or next. 😊
Debbie Avoux Studio I have really missed your painting and guidance so I’m very excited to hear you are returning‼️ God Bless you and your family🙏
Thank you for this lovely video. I do know the family very well I unfortunately no longer live in California. I am so very pleased everyone is sending extra love to this lovely family. A beautiful memorial for Jaxon's parents Sarah and Andrian. Again, thank you for posting this lovely video.
Michelle Potts thank you so much Michelle. I contemplated back and forth whether or not I should post this.....or even give them this painting. I don’t want to bring them any more sadness. It’s so hard to know what the right thing to do is in a situation like this. I’ve heard so many wonderful things about their family and about what a sweet and kind boy Jaxon is. I hope one day if not now, this painting will bring them happiness in some small way. 💙
I'm so sorry to hear about this family's loss. I lost my son two months ago, and i know the heart ach and devastation that comes with it. Prayers for you and your family. 😢

Beautiful painting
So heartbreaking. 😢 what a beautiful tribute
Hope Lavigne thank you so much Nettie😘❤️ This was a very tough video to make. 😢😢😢 SO much love for this family around here. It makes things a teeny bit easier to deal with when you see all of the support but still no words or “anything” for that matter that can ease the sadness and empathy we are all feeling for them. 😔
Debbie Avoux Studio so true. So glad there is such a wonderful support system. ❤️
BEAUTIFUL 😢😢🙏🌹
