To have to use ur assists just to lock someone down is like terrible. Otherwise you have to take the infinite options they can do. Theres a lot that I feel like you need to do in this game which is why I agree with snap.
I see it as if I hit you after making a good decision and knock you down I shouldnt then have to guess what myriad of options you can do then either eat 4k or possibly die because I got hit. If I outplay you I should be rewarded for it. There shouldnt be completly perfect oki but I shouldnt have to worry about dying because I made the right decision
the problem is with the stagger nerf, defense at the current moment is too strong at higher levels. If your point character uses an assist for oki you now for the most part only have 1 opportunity to mix you opponent during blockstring and that's for the optimal situation where you still have all 3 characters. yet again if you don't your opponent has an absurd amount of options during SKD.

What do you do when they up tech and you hit them? Is it possible to convert? Or do you also have a method to chase them down? Also I get hit by a uptech IAD back jH somehow sometimes...

It made me really grow a distrust for Ark Sys games in the future. I don't care about the Casual Market, they are going to quit the game regardless. Stop pandering to them.
If you whiff jump H they have the opportunity to mash if you don't input backdash. But yeah it has similar timing. And I believe some characters that have different way of knockdown need to use different timing.

They spend mad hours in the lab and their mindset is a bit different. They wanna try to control multiple options because risky letting the opponent get away or hit them because it's another top player.
The same people the complain about delay tech are the same people that relied on snap meta to win and only up tech on wake up" No one is gonna sit there and take your "unbeatable 50 50 c assist oki setup" when they can just delay tech and take a scramble. Maybe yall would find simple tech like this if yall spent time in the lab instead of complaining all the time.

Bimbes McFly lets be real. nobody’s using their assists in oki situations, they just save em for the 2 touch scenarios.

When i superdash, player blocks and beats me to mashing especially with bardock even when I hold back the mashing still hits me somehow
