That still doesn't make it easy to record a frame perfect reflect. the best way to do that is to hold S before you hit record, then simply walk backwards to activate the recording. This will ensure that S and the back input (4) are pressed on the same frame.
I wanna add a point: what things to lab? i) building to certain 'hard' decision points in blockstrings. most characters have limited amount of safe normals, i.e. points where the decision tree branches. Identifying which parts lead to harder punishes including starter scaling, routes, position ease of conversion, ... vs reactability/punishment and can I continue pressure afterwards, plus, how 'expensive' is it to run a certain setup. i.e. frametraps become more valuable once you have demonstrated a propensity to opt for a reactable 6m mixup at certain points in the blockstring and you insert them around there, slightly altering the blockstring. they aren't costly, but open the window to be thrown off pressure prematurely. Also, most whiffsaves cost meter and reset to nooch.
I only started playing dbfz this year and your videos have single handedly taught me everything I know. Thank you and please don't ever stop. You're amazing.
I think a great series on your channel would be a series about you watching people’s matches and reviewing them and telling them what they did right, what they did wrong, and what they could improve on overall. Subs could submit them in to you as well.
You can use quick record to get the input to come out on frame 1, or you can use the normal recording method, but hold the input before pressing record to also get it frame 1, like holding L before recording, press record, then you get a frame 1 mash. The latter being better for recording inputs that are a single direction + a button (i.e reflect, 2H) because on quick record, you'd have to hit the direction and the button on the exact same frame to get it
With regards to the "quick" recording option, you can still get frame perfect moves that require a direction + a button (like reflect). Just use the same method you would use with the "normal" recording option. For example, hold S then hit record, then simply walk backwards to activate the recording.
So. I didn't know where else to ask this question. I have recently run into an issue where ill do the qcf motion plus R1 and instead of getting the super move...I'll get their special move. It has caused me to lose a bunch of games and it is really annoying when it happens. 1. My feet were on the ground. 2. I have enough meter built up for the super. I am just confused. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Your tutorials have really bumped up my game. I had to recommend you videos to a few friends of mine because they were convinced i was cheating lol. Nope just learned from a great teacher
Great video as usual, very clear and concise. I guess the next step to improve offense could be the 2 touch approach and the ressource management it involves. Like being able to 2 touch from light starters or a jump, into an oki situation that kills is pretty big in this game. Can I kill if I have already used this assist and can't use it in the first combo ? What is the ideal round oppener I'd like to hit ? What do I do from there that could kill the next opening ? If I'm confident I can open their first char 3 times may be I could keep my meter to have 5+ and be able to TOD the next char from a 2H. If so, how much meter do I really need to reliably OTK a char with my point char and full team etc.
I just started playing about a week ago and I'm sitting in demon, I'd really love to see you talk about how to deal with lunatics, people who seem to just do things that don't make a lot of sense but they still get the win from it
Do you think you'll go over the concept of respecting and disrespecting your opponent in fighting games? I understand it to a degree, such as mashing against an opponent and not respecting their pressure, or giving the opponent respect(sometimes too much) when something is fake in regards to something like a mixup. But other than that, it can be confusing at times. Also, great video. I wasn't sure how to properly practice against opponents in regards to the options they have using the training tools provided in FighterZ. Thanks!
A situation where you leave a gap in your blockstrings large enough for your opponent to push a button but there is not enough time for the opponent's move to become "active" before your next attack and so you hit them. It is anti-mashing strategy
Only thing I still don’t understand is even how to do any of the things your making the cpu do lol I’m like new new to the game so I don’t even know how to make the cpu play defense or like what I record for it to do. I seen the video but idk what buttons your pressing to make the cpu do that idk I could be slow
the higher the number you set, the more likely that specific recording will be played on the random setting. So if recording A is set to 1, and recording B is set to 3, then you can expect recording B to be selected 3 times more than A. I hope this helps!
@@HealthyFather I have a arcade stick and hit box; the buttons are pretty big on arcade stick, so it's definitely worth getting. If you don't want to use the stick I recommend hit box; I prefer that over arcade because it's like typing but buttons are smaller than arcade stick but they fit still.
all I do is train in practice mode, then when I go into the online matchmaking I get slaughtered every single time, and i'm lucky if i can get a single hit. I feel so defeated... I just want to have fun but It's so hard to keep playing when i see little to no progress. also, none of my friends play so I have noone to train or even play with

Or you can set the recording method to quick it will start recording as soon as you press a button

I LITERALLY just logged on and the exact video that I needed is on my front page. Perfect

I love Educational DBFZ ASMR with your host Rath
Both get hella relaxed AND learn a ton!
I ain't even gonna lie this is my favorite channel on youtube to watch

Perfect timing Rath thank you bro 👌🏻
Just went from living legend to pride trooper in 3 days thanks to these vids. Keep it up dude.

I knew it was a hitbox! Whenever you do motions I can count the clicks of the buttons to line up with the motion.
You're a great teacherr!! Thank you. Awesome tips!
Thank you so much rath love your content keep at it anyway you can go in dept on how to improve defense like you did in this video
Yo...this was a good vid. Glad they recommended this vid. Easy sub.
That was very helpful, thanks Rath!
Super informative! Thank you so much for the content
If you want to have a frame 1 recording to have to change the value of ‘Recording method’. It starts recording at the time you start pressing a button
Wow, this is amazing

is okizeme too broad a subject to cover? i know it can be character specific but there's gotta be universal tech
Super helpful

Learning offense is nice and all, but how did you magically change your shirt at 4:50? Were you the Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan all along?
You truly do not get enough credit for your videos
What arcade stick is that?
What is frame trap?

Who knows what the playback amount does I know he explains it but I’m still a little bit confused😅

Rath vs Hook/Cloud when?
I'm getting a fight stick, is it possible that you can make a tutorial on how to play fighterz with the arcade stick
That and the pros and cons.
I'm 6'2 300 and my hands are big lol. I mess up inputs all the time on ps4. I think I have to get a stick

Have your tags on the third row of buttons next to s and H use lm for dr and s h for sd
