      I'm not even mad when I lose to ss4 gogeta anymore. Also wanted to point out he has absolute mad framerates and good ssfgta players don't mash at all they just know the exact timing on the advantage of quicker framerates. They will play that character and press those buttons like they're on clouds very lightly and with precision. I play bluku, blk and tien. I can press the buttons like clouds too but my characters are no way near the quickness of fusions especially ss4gta

    • @liamfoote7164
      @liamfoote7164 7 місяців тому

      @@Y20XTongvaLandBasically C assists are really powerful assists but are balanced around the fact they have a much higher cooldown than A or B assists. They also are made to guarantee a combo if you get hit by one, so you if you get clipped by one it will hurt.

    I'm about to make a really weird comparison, but a lot of tips shown here is all stuff I learned in Smash. In Smash, learning your movement is the most important thing. Of course, it's a platform fighter, you need to master movement just to get onto platforms.
    Well a lot of the tips here has been just master your movement. Don't be afraid to move back to full screen, utilize micro spacing, give them space rather than making space for yourself. I guess I never realized how important movement is in this game, but also the types of movement.
    I might be aware of float and super jumps, momentum jumps, but I never really execute more than just air dashing. Just kinda more focused on what my opponent is doing and what options I may have to directly punish it.

    • @MisterAcolyte
      @MisterAcolyte  Рік тому

      hahaha yeah I can see the comparison to this and smash due to how movement is one of the biggest aspects of the game!

    thank you so much! i really needed a video exactly like this! i’ve been asking multiple ppl who play this game for advice & now i finally got a sense of what i should be doing in neutral.
    what’s a really good way to punish whiffs or punish something that’s not a real string?

    • @MisterAcolyte
      @MisterAcolyte  Рік тому +1

      whiff punishing in this game in general can be really hard due to how low recovery most special moves have. Usually whiff punishes have to be reads, and when it comes to strings you can reflect any time there's a gap!

    • @MisterAcolyte
      @MisterAcolyte  Рік тому +2

      that's a pretty high commitment! I'd recommend getting some anti-reflect strings for those situations! Every character has a series of buttons you can press that will win even if the opponent reflects! Some pretty common ones are 5L > 5M, 5L > 5H, 4LL etc! Reflect usually only makes you unsafe if you commit to auto combo!

    • @MisterAcolyte
      @MisterAcolyte  Рік тому

      glad to hear it! It's hard to do a general guide for extending combos with assists because every assist has it's own timing! the best way to practice though is by working on the timing in training mode. Depending on how fast or slow the assist is, you have to call it before, after, or during the moment you hit H to send them down!
