I recall my father singing this (and others to me) as a little girl and as an adult. Music has such an amazing way to reconnect us! In fact, I am expecting my first grand baby any day now and this will be my song to her for ever more!! She is arriving almost exactly 2 years after his departure.

Recently saw ANDREA BOCELLI in Detroit Mi. A surprise from my brother! What a great time we had ..almost 3 hrs of entertainment!! Have listened to him for time and have no pmans to stop!
I had this wedding shower or bachelor/bachelorette party with my first wife.
She gave me a microphone & the deal is thanking everybody for coming to the party & celebrate with us before the wedding.
I was nervous & didn’t know what to say, so I ask her is there anything you want me to say or do?
She told me to sing her & her grandmother’s favorite song from Elvis.
Of course everybody agreed with her for me to sing in front of people.
Thankfully I can sing decent enough to fulfill her wishes.
People were so amazed & my wife loves me even more & beg me to sing her that song every night.

First time seeing the Andrea in person, so to speak, never realized he was blind. Damn what a golden voice.
Sometimes the most gifted are crused with mental or physical problems. For him his godly voice, his eye sight was taken.
I was always wondering why he sang with eyes closed all the time.
but he is not totally blind.. he's eye site is very blurred 🤔🤔🤔
@@markbeltran923 Just my assumption, the way he moves, the way he keeps his eyes closed singing and walking, using the piano as a guide. Looks like he's been unable to see for most of his life. But didn't keep him down. I'm a martial arts instructor, I taught unarmed combat, trap and grapple to RCMP at one time. Anyway I was temporarily blinded, lived alone and kept training once I got used to moving around blind, feeling my way, like he is. Then I started demonstrating grappling while blind, just by touching a person I could feel how they would move and was able to counter and trap. I was lucky after some time when the bandages came off I was able to see again.

Andrea's voice when operatic, is stunning. But his tone doesn't touch elvis's when he sings outside of opera. On the original studio recording by elvis presley, elvis's tone is richer and pure perfection.

My son had his confirmation, and at the end of the mass, our bishop spoke to the young boys and girls, and in so many words said that God has given us all gifts things we are good at.
