I feel that too. I may not be serving in my country's armed forces but as someone witnessed a lot of hurt and been hurt on all levels I can't be more happy about with my life and my relationship. I never dated until after my first semester at college. I never expected to end up in a relationship with someone as great as my boyfriend. He taught me to trust again and not be afraid being hurt. He was and still is patient and understanding. I couldn't be more happy and grateful. Even though I had originally planned to join the military after high school to follow in my parents footsteps I am glad fate led me in a direction.

Elvis didn’t actually write the song. Don’t get me wrong, it was written for him to sing and it’s truly beautiful but I prefer other renditions by other artists . I’ve always thought Elvis to be overrated.

Elvis would be crying his eyes out to this. He thought he was going to be forgotten. That man was wrong. Elvis still lives and is loved to this day and generations and decades later songs like this will be sung and heard for all time. Elvis' body may not walk among us anymore but his spirit still does. All those lights out there in the audience, the fact they are all singing along PROVES Elvis WILL live on forever and I can tell Mr Presley is smiling down on all of them and saying the biggest "thank you thank you very much" of his entire life with again, tears going down his face. I just wish that in some way Elvis would know how much his music impacts the whole world. He always wanted to perform overseas but Col. Tom Parker would not let him for selfish reasons; he was afraid his status in the U.S. might be discovered. Nevertheless, Elvis is adored everywhere in the world even today.

This piece was written by Hugo Peretti, Luigi Creatore and George David Weiss in 1961. To me, we are deeply indebted to all four men for creating a beautiful piece of music that is truly timeless.

I was a dancer & acrobat. I got ill in my 20s & have had to use a wheelchair at times during relapses (15+ years).
Like most comments I've just read, this brought a tear to my eye too. However, when the dancer in the wheelchair came onstage & they performed that amazingly flawless lift, that tear turned into a flood.
This touched me deeply.
I found the escapism dancing gave me in art. I'm sitting listening to Andre Rieu, covered in paint, with inspirational quotes playing on a slideshow on my computer screen. It seems tonight was the perfect time to discover this.
