I was a member of Al’s Strength and Fitness Center when he first opened it back in 1985. Al made all of the equipment in the gym by himself! It was some of the best equipment ever made and a lot of it is still being used to this day. Glad to see that he is doing well and enjoying life in Idaho!
Allen is one of my favorite people in airguns; I talked to him many times and knew he was a professional bodybuilder in his prior life of airguns. Very cool to see him in person
I’m working on getting him to come up to my camp site for a couple of days. Then I’ll be able to sit down with no pressure so he can go over how to work out ballistics. Regulator pressures and what ever flows out of his mind. No matter what it is. It will be fascinating to listen to. So be sure to subscribe
This is one of the best things I have seen on UA-cam in a while. I first heard of this guy about 20 + years ago, a legend in air guns for sure. Thanks for bringing this rare event to us.
I am the glad owner of two AZ tuned guns. Thanks for this video. It is good to put a face with the voice on the phone. He is a true craftsman. The guns will shoot one hole at 36 yards (turkey distance) if I do my part. He reworked the barrels, built a moderator, rebuilt the scope, built new turrents with custom distance marks all set to the pellet and ballistics. And sent printout of the ballistics... Fantastic work.
Allen is an amazing, talented man. A couple years ago I sent him my FX Whisper T-12, which was non-functional. He basically rebuilt it, and actually made some parts for it, set the trigger to the right pull, and increased power. Great phone conversations about our common interest in body building, and love of America. Even spoke with my son, who is an avid bodybuilder, and exchanged pictures. What a great guy. He's legendary on the air rifle scene, and his talents are unlimited.
Wow!! This Man is a Wealth of knowledge. Early in the video he mentioned “pellet surf”, my mind immediately thought of how the pellet rides the wind on its way to the target. I really enjoy listening to his thoughts and theories, which are based on years of real world experiences. Thank you for sharing this with the world.
How old is the gun. Because I did ask about one post I saw from a couple of years ago on a forum. If it’s the gun I think we talked about it. The parts are no longer available. He could probably make them. But I’m sure the cost would be more then a new gun. But then again I might be thinking of a different guy and problem

Proud to have shaken Alans hand in years gone by. Pride of the USA in airguns.
