Ran a rotary rake couple wks ago for the first time I was amazed compared to other rakes how it (fluffed) the windrows as twisted together and didn't have big clumps. Take care Chris
That is because Kubota own Kverneland and here in the UK only Kverneland branded products are sold, for now. It might change as things do in due course.
@Ian wallet Thanks for watching! As my English friend said, they were originally a kverland product, so I am not sure exactly how they are labeled in your country.
I like to start off the season close to the tools also. I like those rakes. I wonder if any of them can rake to both sides? Where you can choose which side to rake to.The hay looks good. Have a good week
I don't think anyone makes a rake that will rake either direction, but I think the Kubota rake, rakes the hay the opposite direction of Kuhn. It was some nice looking hay. Now the rest of my first cut is starting to get old.... Can't win with the weather this year!
Thank you! Maybe you did get all of our rain! After this video we had a dry spell, and now the forecast is chance of showers every day except we hardly ever get any lol
So if the weather would cooperate, the hay is ready to bale? Or does it need more time to dry? Thanks for sharing a very interesting video on all the steps involved. I am not sure someone not familiar with haying, realizes how much is involved.
The hay in those fields was ready to bale. The rest of my fields that are not cut are ready to be done, but can't be done because we haven't had three days of sunny weather in a row. It has been a tough year!
Thanks for the video, I have been going to look at some rotary rakes on video. I think that's what kind of rake I am going to get when I save the money for it. There was a twin rake for sale close to me. By the time I made up my mind to go look at it, it was sold.
Thats some nice looking hay. Always enjoyable watching a rotary rake
Thank you, and I really appreciate you stopping by!!
I bought the same model yesterday.. It's our first rotary rake. Can't wait to try it out.
Nice rake! Thanks for the video Chris
Thanks Ed!! I appreciate you watching!!!
@@dehavenfamilyfarm I appreciate you showing the kabota hay equipment!!
Good job brother first time seeing rotary rake looks like it’s doing a good job!
Good to see your kubota rake in action since i have not had much experience with that kubota product yet
It has been a good rake so far, and would not hesitate to buy another one. Thanks for stopping by!
Looks good - Kubota is really making in roads into hay farming. I’m sure lots less drama than your previous tractor.
Yes, when they bought out Keverlend, they added a nice product line. My new Kubota tractor has been flawless so far!
Looks like that rake does a pretty good job making windrows. Thanks for the ride along. Stay safe.
It does, especially in 2nd and 3rd cut hay. Thanks for watching 🙂
Nice rake sure foes a good job. Take care and be safe Chris
The contrast of hay against the trees sure is beautiful.
That rake works great, thanks for the video we will watch upcoming video's, we want to see more on Little Red Farmstead to
Thank you! I actually have lots of videos for the other channel, but haven't had time to get them uploaded lol
Great video. Answered my questions right off the bat.

They really do a nice job, especially if your climate only gives you short windows to make hay 🙂
I haven’t seen any kubota implements in the U.K., didn’t know they made them. Looks a good un! Thanks for the video. 👍

Thanks for this video I just sent you an email asking questions before I found this and you answered the questions I was looking for.
Those rotary rakes are nice, especially for heavy 1st cutting
Yup, just wish I had one that raked two rows at once lol
Lovely countryside there young man and nice to see you having some good weather instead of rain. Hey, did you send us all your rain?
Thank you! Maybe you did get all of our rain! After this video we had a dry spell, and now the forecast is chance of showers every day except we hardly ever get any lol
I've only used side rakes that looks like it works good
It really fluffs the hay up nice. Thanks for watching!

Nice video! Did you manage to get that 4160 baler working properly? I saw a few old videos you mentioned the net not starting sometimes...
That's interesting, I've not seen one of those rakes work before.
It has been a great rake so far. I just wish I had one that did double rows lol

I wanted to buy a twin rotary rake, but all the used ones around here are $10k or more!
@@dehavenfamilyfarm The one I was going to look at was a miller . It was 2 point hitch and they were asking 5 thousand.
Did your rake come with the safety triangle on the rake..mine did not.. going to have to install on...
Do the seat cushions come off by turning the tabs on the back to change them?
You know, I am not sure. But I noticed those tabs when I was editing the video lol I will have to check and see!
bought a 1042t this year ....any suggestions on setup or things to watch?? thx
