As a female pipe smoker who hasn't had the joy of puffing for a couple of weeks (thanks to a wisdom tooth removal) - this video has been a pleasure to view today! Tonight, at last, I'll spend this evening with my Peterson. Not quite as cool as Malcolm's Peterson pipe mind you! - Your videos are always a joy to view Malcolm, Cheers to the pleasures of smoke & stories 📚
You have my sympathy. I had all four wisdom's removed as well as two sets of Roots. Not a happy experience. Happy Pipping and a drop of the good stuff will certainly aid recovery 😜🍺🍺
Just curious, but how old are you? Most people are quite young when they have their wisdom teeth removed, yet I find it quite odd to picture a girl in her late teens or early twenties smoking a pipe!! 🤷♂️😂
My sympathies I know how that feels I had all four removed at once and it was a terrible experience but I digress I hope you start to feel better soon!
@@Yawnzee_ I will be honest, the pain wasn't that bad. Most of the discomfort came from the swelling, which was HORENDOUS . Glad it's all in the past now 🙏🙏
What a discovery this channel is, in a complicated world there is nothing better than "the simple pleasure" of sitting down with a Speyside single malt and listening to the tales of pipe smoking and passages from various classic books. Thank you sir for helping calm turbulent waters.
I live in a small town nestled within the upward sweeping valleys of The Cascade Mountains, and squirrel away many fine tobacco blends alongside my personal pipes... to find solace in the long, wet winter nights. I try my hand at music, and as well, poetry - so finding Malcom is very much like discovering a ready-made friend (be it on the other side of our Earth). The stem on that is absolutely beautiful. It reminds me of the yellow of Colonel Mortimer's pipe from the movie For a Few Dollars More. I’d like to thank you for rekindling my love for Tolkien, a love for me that started only a handful of years ago during my college years. I will think of you during my first ever reread!
One of my favorite passages in the trilogy, thank you! Being inspired by your videos to give poetry another go, I went to the library and borrowed books of Donne and Keats. I'm still struggling with Keats, but Donne is making some sense. Nearby on the shelf was Tolkien's The Fall of Arthur. This I really enjoyed! It is unfinished, so it abruptly ends just as it gets going (like Steinbeck). But unlike Steinbeck, who had dug himself into a hole, Tolkien was warmed up and in full gear. I would love to hear you read this poem, or other Old English alliterative meter.
I am once again not sure how I stumbled on your channel, but still pleasantly surprised. Thanks for another great video! Makes me long for the quiet, simpler things in life.

I'm so happy I found this place.
One of your best videos, friend, thoroughly enjoyable👏👍
Whenever I smoke my pipe I put on one of your videos. This one has been my favourite.
What a joyous discovery this fine fellow has been.
Love hearing you discuss Peterson and Tolkien. I discovered the Peterson 605 pot and it’s become my favorite pipe/shape. Cheers from Tennessee!
Good choice!
Evening and cheers from America
You should try one of those Meerschaum pipes Lee Van Cleef smoked
You are a treasure sir. Thank you.
Was just looking last night for one of your Tolkien videos! Lovely treat
Thank you.
Thank you for your insight. I find it most comforting.
I'm so glad!
I am once again not sure how I stumbled on your channel, but still pleasantly surprised. Thanks for another great video! Makes me long for the quiet, simpler things in life.
