Perfect timing. Some of these tips, pallette cleansing for example, I recently learned about. Something I discovered recently is drinking hibiscus water/tea/juice. It gets rid of that nicotine taste on the gums for me. The small batch, Virginia blends I was just inspecting last night. I'll have to pop these mason jars open and allow them to breathe a bit. I was contemplating what to do with all the C&D small batch blends I've acquired in the last 10-ish years. They all seem to taste the same. Maybe they need airing time. Great tips, thanks again!
Hiyas Jonathon, Great tips and suggestions! No matter how many years a committed piper has enjoyed our wonderful hobby, there's always new approaches and processes to consider and try. An old dog can learn new tricks and enjoy the results! Nellie says hi to Lieutenant Dan and Oscar. Serene smokes
Thank you buddy. These are very good points ❤ I have noticed with some aromatics (generally I don’t smoke aromatics) that the toppings are downgraded a bit after a couple of years the blend ages in the jar, and then you can taste little more the real tobacco underneath - of course aging Virginias and other non-aromatics is something I do intentionally, but my aromatics generally sit for much longer in the jar as I don’t reach them often, thereby I noticed for some of them they do smoke better after a couple of years.
Great to see you Blake! Awesome tips! Dark chocolate? Going to give that a try. Never would have guessed tortilla chips, but l kind of like that after taste on my tongue. 😅😅
Thank you for the tips. A few of these I already knew from my days as a cigar smoker, but I definitely picked up a some new bits. I tend to retrohale way too much and need to tone it down. It also causes me to get sore sinuses from the smoking passing through. I've been saying I want to join a pipe club for a while. There is one about 45 minutes away I might try to catch one month soon. Cheers!
Sir: Excellent. Your video has the unaffected directness of an Errol Morris documentary and it’s just as sagacious. Question you might want to consider tackling and related to your suggestion re joining a pipe club, do you think there’s a schism developing in YPC due to partial co-opting of this social media space by more (small ‘C’) conservative and/or religious providers? Thinking here of individuals such as Dr. Alan Harrelson and the 1/2 dozen (?) or so Catholic pipe content providers. Don’t mean to throw you into the proverbial (pun intended) briar patch, but would be interested in your opinion on this matter. Regardless of latter, well-done, young man, and pleased to be your latest ‘All Notifications’ subscriber.

Great top ten tips. I never thought about the retro hail over time desensitizing the membranes. Problem is, once you start it’s hard to stop, lol.

That was a cool thumbnail image!
Great tips! Keeping sugar close by for nic hit management is important. Chocolate is a good one.
Chocolate helps to recover from the Dementors too. Just sayin'.
Excellent tips. Thank you very much for the info.
Great video. And the flopping dog in the background made me 😊. I’ll give the corn chip thing a try cause occasionally I puff like a maniac!
Good advice Blake. Cheers, Janez

Thank you for the tips. With the alka seltzer do you use it as a mouthwash or drink it? Also do you use before during or after smoking? Thanks again!
