You can make a gasket from 1/32" gasket paper for fuel and have some left over for carburetors or intake from the scraps with sisors and exacto blades extra fine sharpie
Bad part of using the plumbing pipe, your reducing the id dia which in turn, reduces exhaust flow. Larger dia id better flow. It's an old school racing technique

Yep that set ups not gonna work you have two gaskets stacked and it's still pushing the head off. Ya got the wrong piston or wrong crank
1/2" or 3/4" pipe?
1/2 pipe same size pipe that you use for Your house pipes in the basement
