You really really really NEED to listen to the studio version. If you like this the studio version is going to absolutely blow you away. They have quite a few great songs. Try Arabella, R U mine, and why you only call me when you're high.
i enjoy your wording. you have a great unbiased ear too... breaking down the different feelings and vibes. not just hearing guitar and saying rock like most people would really makes me smile. your vids are really pleasing to watch.
Great band. One of my favourites is I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor, which they also did at the UK Olympics. For another live experience, I would recommend When The Sun Goes Down / Brianstorm. Yep, its really 2 songs... but worth every delicious second of it.
It also has my favorite lyric of all times .... "Arabella's got some interstellar gator skin boots And a helter-skelter 'round her little finger, and I ride it endlessly She's got a Barbarella silver swimsuit And when she needs to shelter from reality, she takes a dip in my daydreams"
to give you more info, the one that sings the high notes is matt (drummer) and sometimes nick does the harmonization (bass), you're right about the hiphop influence, the am era (the album this song is from) was heavily inspired in how rappers articulate their lyrics! the monkeys are killer acts live, alex (lead singer) has a very unique charm
@brittreacts "Why'd you only call when your high" is likely a grove you'd enjoy by them ;) This song is playing on the music box at the bar in the video then leans into the next song, classic ;)
Arabella is another great track from them, but to be honest pretty much all of their songs are awesome. You might prefer the AM stuff as it's more timeless, but 505 is an older track which holds up really well and has a great sound to it. The guy who's singing in the background is Matt Helders, the band's drummer. I believe Nick O'Malley, the bassist, also contributes backing vocals in these live performances
This is a stellar track, Britt, super reaction. The album is probably my favourite amongst some great ones they've produced. The riff, same as the chorus, is so cool. They have so many bangers, I'd start your rabbit hole with I Bet That You Look Good on the Dancefloor, which is kinda when they exploded on the scene. Off this album, R U Mine and Fireside stand out. However, a delve into their 2nd album, Favourite Worst Nightmare with Do Me a Favour, 505 and If You Were There Beware are my go to tracks. Oh, and first album bangers: When the Sun Goes Down. The View from the afternoon. Proper band are the Artics, seen them many times live.
The Arctic Monkeys are hugely influenced by the Salford beat poet John Cooper Clark. JCC is funny as hell and would be great for you to react to: you'll immediately see the influence in the rhythms and rhyme-schemes.
Lead singer and guitar is Alex Turner. Singing with a strong Sheffield accent. Typo in your video title. It's "Arctic" not "Artic". They blew up in 2005 with the release of "I bet you look good on the dancefloor". What's crazy with them was how they changed so drastically and so quickly. Their first 2 albums are completely unique; everything after that has been very different, and IMHO, not nearly as good.
Hey, BrittReacts. I'm new to the channel and I enjoyed a lot your reactions to Kendrick's feud. Could you react to Kendrick Lamar's appearance on Family Ties? Not only his lyrics are great, also the videoclip is awesome too. Xoxo.
Only a matter of time before Britt finds an Artic Monkeys songs that gets into the PDC. Knee Socks from their album AM is recommended. It features Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age.
One of my favourite bands but sadly I was a little disappointed when I seen them last year, nowhere near as good as when I’ve previously seen them live over the years. Matt Helders (the drummer) is the one hitting the high notes.
There's definitely no hip hop in it 😂 Hip hop borrows it doesn't lend. The Artics are from Northern England and his accent and speak/sing technique is an exaggeration of where he comes from. If you wanna hear the Arctic Monkeys in their majestic full flow watch them do When the Sun Goes Down recorded at the Glastonbury Festival. Listen to 100,000 people join in ❤
Dude is a lyrical genius in so many of their songs.
You really really really NEED to listen to the studio version. If you like this the studio version is going to absolutely blow you away. They have quite a few great songs. Try Arabella, R U mine, and why you only call me when you're high.
Definitely. This is good but the studio version is incredible
You know they have other albums, yeah? There is a whole world outside AM lol
@@barbarooza8408YES! at least 4 better albums than AM
i enjoy your wording. you have a great unbiased ear too... breaking down the different feelings and vibes.
not just hearing guitar and saying rock like most people would really makes me smile.

Amazing group, lyrics of the charts too...insane
The drummer is singing the high notes!

@@brittreacts YOU SHOULD DO STUDIO VERSION FIRST AND THEN LIVE PERFORMANCES
Welcome to the Artic Monkeys. They are fire 🔥
Arabella is such a beautiful song. Highly recommend it.

The studio version is so good.
So glad you did this 🔥 love this band
The drummer, Matt Helders, was hitting high notes
Amazing song. They have a few absolute bangers.
Sings with in his own English accent unlike lots of other singers. Love it.
Arctic Monkeys - When The Sun Goes Down (Live At Glastonbury 2007) best live EVERRRRRRRRRRR
Was there 👍
such a great band
You have a beautiful voice yourself. I would recommend Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine or Arabella next.
@brittreacts "Why'd you only call when your high" is likely a grove you'd enjoy by them ;) This song is playing on the music box at the bar in the video then leans into the next song, classic ;)
Drummer, Matt Helders, is singing the high parts.
R U Mine is a good tune
the guy is killing the guitar and vocals at the same time
Arctic Monkeys live performances are always clean 👌👌👌

They cited Aaliyah and Timbaland among Sabbath and the Velvet Underground as being influences on the album❤️
you should react to their live in glastonbury, its crazy
These song has great remixes.
From my home town Sheffield inthe north of England..
Plenty of great songs. Teddy Picker is my favorite!
Alex Turner is the lead singer.... Nick O'Malley is listed as backing vocals for this song.
May aswell listen to the AM album. This is the first song off it…. What an album!! X
if you like his voice the you shoud check out Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20. he was the OG for this vocal style
Arabella!!! It’s a great song and video :)
The Arctic Monkeys are hugely influenced by the Salford beat poet John Cooper Clark. JCC is funny as hell and would be great for you to react to: you'll immediately see the influence in the rhythms and rhyme-schemes.
Alex turner is the lead singer and is one of the greatest vocalist of this generation
Don’t dare say r n b and uniquest is not a word. 👌🏻

Mardi bum, When the Light go Down. What's really nice about the Artic monkeys is he sings in his actual accent.
Britt can you please check out Matt Corby- Brother (like a version video)?
If you like unique voices you'll love this Australian artist!
I also like Chvrches cover of this song on Triple J.
Check out I bet you look good on the dancefloor live version

I'm from Sheffield where they are from - 'mardy'means grumpy. The word 'right' rhymes with 'eight' for us

Listen to Jake Thackray - he was influenced by him, no-one will have reacted to him
I’ll check it out!
Sister Josephine 😂 Love some Jake.
