Great job, I liked the detail of adding battle damage to the protector, it really makes it look like the ship is in serious trouble, I also liked how the ship tries every maneuver trying to escape.
Never give up! Never surrender! But a strategic withdrawl is acceptable. Great work as always!
I love this. The enemy ship reminds me of the Colonial Navy frigate from Colony Wars on the PS1.

Nice job on bringing the ship to life. I always loved the Galaxy Quest movie, as I think it's one of the best Star Trek parodies out there. It's nice to see the Protector get some love. Amazon actually wanted to make this into series. The contracts were already signed. Sadly however, when Alan Rickman died suddenly in 2016, the project died with him.

Great work as always. I love the warping effects and that lightning effect you have is really good. If I was to add a critical eye, the enemy ship I think you may need to either shade smooth or add a subsurface modifier and if you could add damage upon each impact (the one which jumped out was the impact on the Protector's forward intake near the start if the video - I think if you added a stronger flickering effect with even a change of colour to red perhaps and lightning effect there that would give the sense of a real impact). But as always, your work stands in my opinion above your peer group in general and always a joy to watch.
This is so awesome! I'm so glad you showed Protector using her weapons. that was the one thing I wish they did in the film. can't wait for part 3!!!!

i really love how this feels similar to the first Battle Scene from the movie... i can even faintly imagen the lines happening when that Nebula part happens

this is only the 3rd video we have seen the designated good guy ship sustain any visible damage in your animation...just wanted to point that out LOL.
Also LOVING how ludicrously GENERIC that "bad guy" ship is, its the perfect BIG BAD GUY SHIP parody.
Great video and good fight, but I have a feeling they are going to use that power that has been hitting them in some way to disable or destroy the bigger ship.

In itself a great short battle video, my only nitpick would be that there's no air resistance in space, so pulling the nose up to let yourself fall back makes sense for a fighter jet but little sense for a space ship. Instead the ship should have just pull up a little and then point in the other direction. Except the impulse thrusters are multidirectional, so pulling up allowed them to give up and reverse thrust at the same time. But hard to tell without any engine trails.
So, instead of a mine field, it's a blue nebula with lightning.
I just had an amazing idea for a What if Scenario you can do, redo the Second Kelvin Timeline Movie, but have it be the SNW Enterprise being chased by a Section 31 looking Excelsior Class
