My favorite videos from you are the ones where you are building out a vehicle. I'm just getting into overlanding and I love watching you kit these out! I love watching what your years and years of experience can do when you build out a vehicle! Can't wait for the next one!
Hi Andrew my I'm from Kenya but I've been living in South Africa for 9 years now . currently in Bloemfontein Free State & when you are going to be around South Africa please make a MEET & GREET I want to see your work I'm so fascinated in it.I was in Lesotho yesterday I used the Ficksburg route & the place is a wonder
Andrew, I just watched your video and looked at the map of your current location.. You are now in Capetown! This is really good! Greetings from West TX!
I would love to see a series with a vehicle that doesn't have a ton of expensive parts "donated" by companies like Terrain Tamer. Just upgrades that the average person could afford?
I agree with dirtleg, the average man in the street or Bush don't get to buy all the fancy add ons, still good to watch but becomes a bit of an advertising series if you watch the lot this man has done, saying that good advice he does have about overland travelling, Aidan in Ireland
Every body that follows you and watcher’s your videos including myself would love to have done and do what you’ve done so far and are doing. Well done and thank you for sharing 👍
It's always epic to see big youtubers heading to our little slice of heaven. If you are heading through Ladybrand/Aliwal North then you have to make a stop at the Greens Farm. It's called Pitlochrie Cottage! A 10/10
Hey Andrew, keen to see the new series. Do yourself a favor when driving near Cradock and pop in, or preferably stay over, at Mountain Zebra National Park (unless you have been there already). I think it's a great little park. Got interesting animals to see and less crowded than Addo. Addo is obviously great for the ellies though. Both are great, but MZNP is a little gem.
Lovely Vid hope you enjoy your trip, My dad had the first WW2 Jeep in our area just after the WW2, he bought his first new SWB LandRover around the 1950s then he had 9 more brand new ones up until 1978 Then he bought his first Tray back Land Cruiser in 1979, he then bought a new Land cruiser tray back every two years right up till they put coils in the front end, so 10 or 12 new ones over the years, Me Ive had 6 different 4wds
Don't mind the Land Cruisers, I love them as well, but another Troopy in a row is a bit too much. ... more over most people Overland build will be based on 90 or 120 Prado more available and affordable rigs.
Andrew, when you come through Addo I highly recommend doing the Bedrogfontein trail from the Darlington Dam in the North (you’ll be approaching from this side anyway) and ending in Kirkwood which is very close to the main gate. This section of the park (Kabouga) is much greener, much more mountainous and FAR less crowded. The rest of the park might end up being a little claustrophobic for your liking, although you will see more animals in the main camp. I have a video on my channel detailing the Bedrogfontein route if you’re interested.
Spot on Matt, the Eastern Cape has so much to offer! I kinda held my breath, to hear if he was finally going to going to do the Baviaanskloof, which in my mind is an absolute must for someone like our host who has never been. Then connect up with friends and family at Knysna via the Prince Alfred Pass.
Completely understand. I own a Troopy and will never sell it for another offroader. The size and the looks alone make it unique. When I think of offroad vehicles I think of the 78 Land Cruiser. Iconic! Archetype! Hope you are having a great experience in South Africa.
Arranging for an intervention, for your addictions mate, don't worry we'll only chain you to an outback tree for a few weeks, and throw buckets of cold water on you hourly... O.o Bon Voyage Andrew, & Gwyn -(The better half) .. Your trip looks like it is going to be absolutely amazing journey, I can't wait for some snippets from SA. All the very best to you both on your travels, Take care, stay safe.

If you are doing Eastern Free State, mayI recommend Zastron and the R393 over Lundins Nek ending up in Barkley East. Remote and magnificent mountain scenery - not something that WA has an abundance of.
I left land cruisers once I realized that they became too expensive without proving their value for money. Some trucks are half their price and not half their value.....hence, I left my love for these cars years ago.....I owned six of them.
@@TurdBugler I still own a landcruiser 75 and have a mahindra pik up which has performed quite well without failures for over 4 years now. I use them for ranching in very harsh conditions in the Colombian mountains and both perform very good but the one showing it´s true value is the mahindra.
@@TurdBugler the thing is that the mahindra is less than half its price here and I rather have two mahindras and a motorcycle than one land cruiser. My tractor does whatever other tougher job that I might need to do inside the ranch..
Toyota priced the LC 200 out of the U.S. market, they only sold the high end luxury model @$90k U.S. no one bought them as the Lexus LX570 was $2000 more ? in auz the base spec LX300 GX diesel is $99k auz $ about $67k U.S $ we pay that for broncos and wranglers, not sure of the LC 70 series wagon and troopy prices has the Toyota auz web does not show the total drive off, think they are sold out
70 series landcruiser is a fun build, but it's accessible in only a few countries. 105 on the other hand is available almost everywhere and I loved that built because it was relatable and more closer to reality for me. A 70 series is a unicorn for me and I'm not interested in fantasy builds.
Andrew, your love for all Landcruisers is there for all to see, so here's a question, if 'All' Landcruisers were out of the question, what would you pick?
We know you’re addicted hence you not building anything else. Have you considered the reason that 105 was your most watched series is because it wasn’t yet another 70 series?
You forgot one more Land Cruiser, the 79 series pickup you bought when you moved to Australia. Sure, you gave up on it almost immediately, but it was yours for a while.
