did your adapter increase the size of rim you can work on? That’s the only thing keeping me from getting one I got 17in rims on my pick up and most my immediate family has 18in.
very bright idea, have you found something for the tool that remove the tire or put it back? mine scratch the aluminium wheel paint when i try to use it.....
@@grendizer5439 I have the high set on the air compressor to 110 psi. These old changers were made to run off the garage air in the day it was anywhere up to 140. I would think up to 120 would be acceptable.
That is very ingenious of you. I have a Coats 1010, I just use a length of chain around the post to the bead breaker. Fast and infinitely adjustable. I also made a duckbill attachment that works nicely. Not a production tool, but for me perfectly fine. ua-cam.com/video/ykuhKZhPy_w/v-deo.html

No the changer rim size did not change. The plunger for the bottom seems to decide the max rim size.

Great idea nice invention thanks for sharing the video.Dale
I’ve read that the older tire machines were bad about cracking the center of aluminum rims but I don’t know I’ve never done it.
Do have a drawing so I can have starting point to fabricate one that will fit my application?
I made a drawing. D you know how I can get that to you.
Thank you!
@@charlesbishop9112 I made a short youtube clip on the drawing for the adapter. It is not great but hope it helps.
Thank you for the share. !
Good idea, thank you
You are welcome. Great to have feedback.
@@Haystack461 I have Coat 10-10 and i'll go to use your idea with my machine but tell me please how many PSI you use with your machine? Thank you

Any interest in making another adapter like that and selling it ? I could use one.
Ya, I can do that. I will work up a price and let you know. Be a few days I am working on a couple of jobs now, but I will get to it.
Looks like $ 180 + $15 for shipping in the USA
@@Haystack461 did the bottom bead break paddle not contact wheel? Wouldn’t that make contact with aluminum wheel? Or coats doesn’t have that
@@Rezcue337llc The Coats does have the bottom bead breaker. The way the bottom breaker advances does not seem to be a problem, at least for my 2020.
Nice Saab rim
You are very observant that is off a 900.
@@Haystack461 yes I have a few of those wheels (and cars) myself. This is a great idea which I will try to incorporate into the coats 10 10 I have.
Thanks
Can u make me one CB of those sir
? .
Sorry I just realized I have not gotten back to you. If you are still interested let me know.
