    In this real grass material tutorial, you will learn in detail how to use the Fur Modifier. Vray Fur is a very simple procedural fur plugin. The fur is generated only during render time and this makes it one of the most efficient ways to add real grass details into your 3D renders.
    This Vray for Sketchup Material Tutorial Video, We show you how to use Vray for Sketchup fur Modifier. This is a simple step by step tutorial will set you to understand all the basic parameters in Vray Fur modifier so you can create any type of grass.
    You will learn about Face Distribution and Area Distribution and how each parameter distributes the strands on your 3D Mesh. You will also learn to adjust the basic parameters of vray fur modifier such as length, thickness, taper, gravity, and bend parameters. You'll also get a good understanding of how to adjust variance settings to add realistic 3D details to your grass.
    Last mapping textures affect each parameter. In particular how Curl Map, Initial Direction Map, Bend Direction Map, Density Map, Length Map, Thickness Map, Gravity map and Bending Map
    You will also learn how to use level of detail. This setting tells V-Ray to generate less fur geometry for parts of the scene that are far away from the camera. This is done by decreasing the density of the fur strands and increasing their thickness.

    • @TN3DStudio
      @TN3DStudio  4 роки тому

      Hi Rey, Your very welcome. I dont think you can control the Color of each strand, But the strands pick up the colors from the material you assign. So whatever colors you have on your diffuse slot or texture, thats what it will target to give each strand its own color. (If I find another solution I'll be sure to mention this) I have a video on Carpet/rugs coming up soon :)

      @@TN3DStudio Ey man! Nevermind I found out the grass "spawns" in the surface below, weird to explain 😅
      Imagine a rectangle and it has two sides, one facing up and one facing down, in my case grass generated on the side facing down and I didn't notice 🤣
      Thanks for your help

      Yup, thats the only thing about it. Increases render time. But if you optimize your render settings, you can make it work.

      @@KL-ni2vx If you check the render quality settings between Medium+ and High. I usually optimize the Noise limit, Subdivision, and GI parameter around those setting and render at high resolution. It could also be your PC Specs, and complexity of your model. Just have to try the settings and see what works for you :)
