I hope that attitude doesn't expand to other things.... anyway, I do NOT know if this was illegal or not, americans can be pretty crazy with rules ... banning things that seem completely harmless to me and letting other things free that seem very dangerous..... In my country it is illegal to employ a siren of any firefighter, police vehicle or medical vehicle, because those have important functions in emergencies and it can be confusing if anybody can imitate them when they are not such a vehicle. For me that is common sense.

question for you on the emergency bullet lights that are missing. What is your plan? We have a 1966 Cadillac ambulance with the same emergency bullet lights but we are missing one cover and can't find one. You have any luck?
We actually do have all the bullet lights, we just removed them so that they don’t break while we are working on the car! I’d say your best bet to find them quick is facebook. Join some of the vintage coach and hearse ambulance pages. Tons of people in there with extra parts they sell!
