    Does the charcoal burn through the basket from one side to other. If you lit one side will it light the other side eventually to increase cooking time as removing all the bits to refill the charcoal would be a pain!

    • @kamadobjorn

      Yes! It work like the snake method that you often use in the kettle Grills for low n slow. In a Kamado you almost never have to refill charcoal during a cook.

    is it safe to cook with charcoal that isnt lit all the way through i.e
    grey/white? I am nervous about cooking on charcoal that is still unlit as all the chemicals can go onto your food.

    I get the feeling that you are opening up the lid way too often maybe for video purposes. But the Kamado is class to itself by keeping temperature at steady for a long long time. So if ribs need 3 hours to cook, let them
    Smoke for 3. also your are not showing the bottom vent to adjust the temperature which needs to be adressed. Sorry, your videos don’t help

    • @kamadobjorn
      @kamadobjorn  4 роки тому +1

      The reason i open multiple time is only for the video. And the setting of the vents is really not important. It depends of What and How much charcoal you are using and How large fire you have. It’s All individual. You need to find your own settings.

    • @MikeAir0200

      Right but still you are neither applying to the bottom vent ( which might be the bigger tool to adjust temperature) more do you really give a hint about it. Not helping in any way here. I think i am getting your play

      @kamadobjorn  4 роки тому

      I actually thought i did showed something But i see i didn’t. My bad! This was my first cook on the KJc 3. And what i wanted to show was that you could cook ribs hot n fast without the ribs getting burnt or dry. It was a Big difference to the old Classic. One Big thing.don’t put the lid on the SloRoller to early it Will take forever to get the grill up to temp.
