I have the original Classic 18". No "divide and conquer system", no easy lift hinge, not glazed interior, just a basic kamado. I love it! I use only lump charcoal, light it with either pressed ignitor cubes (I get them at Tractor Supply, can't remember the brand) or usually a cheap electric heat gun. I have fed as few as one and as many as 8 with no issues. I have done hots and hams, sausages, steak, roast whole chicken, chicken pieces, corn on the cob, moinks, jalepeno poppers, artisan bread, pizza, chocolate chip cookies, etc., etc., I know you will love your Kamado Joe!!
I was debating the Classic I, II, and III. Can't really go wrong any way. Cheers Hobby!
Great vid again! It's seems so peacefull Love the birds in the background. ... Nice to see that you're happy with the Kamado. Cooking outside on a grill (in my case a master touch) ... It's a proces of learning.. and it's so much fun and you're one of the guys who gave me the inspiration of learining it and doing it! Making great meals for my family and friends. Thanks!
There are other advantages of the Kamado's... They use way less fuel than a normal kettle and keep temperature really good! Realy like to see more vids of you experience with it!
Keep on grilling!
Yes, it's fun to learn a new grill and get familiar with all its features. I grew up on this lake, and never appreciated it like I do now. It's so nice have a place to get away from the city. Cheers Ronald!
I’m a Weber Kettle, Q & Smoky Mountain! I’ve been eyeing up A Kamado for few years so I’m gonna let you talk me into it! Looking forward to your next installment!
I'm keeping my kettle and Q, but right now I'm loving the Kamado. Would love to add a Smoky Mountain at some point. Cheers Ben!
You definitely won’t regret it. Awesome grill. I started with the Joe Jr. Awesome cooks as well. I Had to get the classic lll 😂
Sorry I missed the name change we have traveling for a couple of months. Want to see smoked turkey and beef!
I have the KJ Classic 2 on the way. Thanks for the recommendation man.
I was very, very close to getting the Classic 2. I got a good deal on my 3 and that's what I got. I'm sure the 2 is an excellent cooker. Cheers and congrats on the new KJ!
Look spot on mate and looking towards more videos 🇬🇧
Thanks Stuart. Always appreciate you stopping by.
Good on ya mate. Congratulations on that
Thanks Craig. I'm loving it!
Ordered a classic 3 today…should arrive by July 1 and be ready for they 4th 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️
Great! I'm absolutely loving mine. Just has a very premium feel. Just put out a video today of my first ribs on the KJ. Definitely check it out.
I have a BGE, if I had to do it over again I would probably get the Joe. I still use my Weber from time to time but I’m amazed at how the Komodo style grill brings out certain flavors!
Big Green Egg is still an awesome grill. Cheers!
I love how you said like 3 times you were going to do an initial burn, but then caved and made some burgers anyways, haha.
Lol. I love this grill.
Thanks for this vid on the Kamado. I've always wanted one. They are beautiful and soooo classy looking. They'd look great just standing in the living room. 😆 And they work like a Professional.
It's really a cut above. Thanks for watching Sheila!
Great video brother. About to pull the trigger and buy a KJ Classic 3 myself. I have been going back and forth between the KJ Classic 3, Green Egg, and Primo for months....think it is time to do this thing!!! How you liking it so far?
The KJ Classic III is an awesome grill. The green egg is great too, but you have to pay extra for a lot that comes included with the KJ. Not sure about the Primo, but I think it's great as well. The Classic III is only 18 inches though, so there are times when you might wish it was bigger, like cooking a lot of wings, but I have multiple grills so cooking a lot of food is never an issue for me. Here are a few of my favorite KJ cooks:

@@msyarina0106 Let me know what you end up with. Cheers!
So I'm finally caught up. Yuppers, once you truly get her dialed in your going to be even happier. I have a suggestion here. Get a dual temperature probe remote. The less you open the cooker the better. And maybe spend a little more and get a fire controller instead. I have the fireboard 2 force. I won't bore you with details, just look it up. One unit can be moved from your Kamoda to a WSM and back. But I believe your not going to need the wsm now. I'm happy for you. Have a great day 🌤 😀.
I've heard good things about the fireboard 2 force. Will definitely be looking in to one of those. Hoping I'm done spending money on grills for a while. But probably not. Lol!
@@GallaghersGrub yes it reaches a point that the money gets to be a bit much. I like the fireboard system. The thermopen fire controller looks great also. The fact that the fireboard records all of your cooks is what really sold me. Plus being able store different cook programs and, well, it's just amazing. And it's not dedicated to just one cooker. Heck you can take it back to NYC and use it in your oven, etc. Good luck. 👍
Having a hard time deciding between regular 3 or big Joe 3. How many people can you feed on the regular?
I think it’s classic size is good for my family of 4 but wondering if I need big Joe because I like to host parties (+15 people)
If you’ve got the money and the space, go for the Big Joe and have no regrets. We close our cottage down for the winter and I have to move the KJ inside. It’s really heavy. I can’t imagine having to move the Big Joe around.
For parties, I use multiple grills. For instance, I’ll have ribs going on the KJ and do burgers, dogs, and wings on the Weber Kettle.
I would like the extra space for things like wings, but I usually just do wings on the Weber Kettle.
@chrisa8203 he is right. If money is no factor and you are doing parties, get the Big Joe. I was going to get it but just ordered the Classic III for $1059 on A…….n. It was at that price for about 4 hours and then back up to $2k. It’s mainly me and my wife most of the time so I couldn’t justify 1300-1600 more come Black Friday. I’m very happy at that price and it will cook just as well as the Big Joe. Good luck.
How the heck did you get that on the deck. The help from 4 buddies? I have a KJ Classic II and that was almost 300lbs
I gave the delivery guys a nice tip and they brought the box up the stairs for me. It was a beautiful thing.
One question - why did you pick this over Junior version? I am contemplating over this as it's only me and my wife and we don't have a deck like you do for semi-permanent storage. So moving classic version in and out of garage, which is on a hill slope is extra work. Thank you for the review.
This one is heavy for sure. It's not nearly as big as the Big Joe. That said, being only 18-inches around, it doesn't hold a ton of food. I would like to try a Joe Jr, but it doesn't seem like a proper deck grill to me though, more of a supplemental grill. The Classic III really looks great on the deck, and I'm very happy with it. It's an awesome grill.
@@GallaghersGrub Cool. Thanks for the insight.
Have you tried smoking on this yet? I'm on the fence between this and a vertical smoker since I already have a gas grill.
If you have the $$$, get this. I just smoked spare ribs for 5 hours yesterday. It's super easy to hold a steady temp. Just know, these are heavy, like 300 pounds. It's really fun to use as well. Let me know what you end up getting. Cheers!
seen some at Costco today but didn't pay attention to model or price but they were there
Lowe's is carrying the Classic Joe I around Connecticut. Pretty good price too.
What was the beer
Brooklyn Lager
Why not Weber Kamado?
I wanted to try something different. Was very very close to buying the Weber. I like the looks of the Kamado Joe better.
Awesome upgrade, congrats
Thanks man
