    When you put all the work into a video like this, you deserve to be seen. The headless reviewer thing was a little weird. I've seen a bunch of videos on this grill, but yours is the first one that actually got in tight enough to see details of the rack system. Thanks for that.

    I moved an XL Big Green Egg and it was F-ing heavy. I saw it being used and was sold because even after the charcoal burned out the meat was left to finish cooking for another 3 hours.

    Thanks for the great information! About how many racks of baby backs would fit comfortably on this grill? Would you have to trim them?

  • @GatMan1983
    @GatMan1983 3 роки тому

    Interesting point about not being able switch between low and slow and sear... but would you not be able to set a dual zone with the coal basket splitter and half a ceramic indirect heat cover accessory? So direct sear on one side and a low indirect heat section on the other half?

    • @BBQandBottles
      @BBQandBottles  3 роки тому +1

      The ceramic plate is more about direct versus indirect cooking. But it won’t keep the temp down. The whole cook chamber will be a similar temp, you’ll just get indirect heat.

  • @ronstewart7890
    @ronstewart7890 4 роки тому +1

    Do you have any trouble maintaining temperature in really cold weather?

    • @BBQandBottles
      @BBQandBottles  4 роки тому +1

      No problems at all. It might chew you charcoal up a little bit quicker, but no problems maintaining temp

    Yeah... picking a Kamado is hard. I already have a Fireboard 2 Drive, so it would just be a matter of picking up their blower fan instead of the iKommand (honestly Fireboard's software is the best I know of, so I'd trust it way more anyway; I think the newer Yoder Pellet Grills have switched their controllers to use Fireboard's technology).
    I really wish the top vent was 304 stainless steel as I've heard it described as "the best vent design I've ever used, but the worst finish and paint job I've ever seen" when it comes to flaking etc. I'm giving the Blaze kamado a real hard look too. I really like that it's virtually indestructible, but I dislike that it's so much more expensive (since it doesn't come with basically everything like the Kamado Joe) and that it has less accessories in general.

    If you have the Kamado Joe would getting the 360 griddle be unnecessary? Or vice versa? If one has a 360 griddle would getting the Kamado be overkill? If that's even possible! LOL

    • @BBQandBottles
      @BBQandBottles  4 роки тому +1

      They’re both very different and I wouldn’t say one replaces the other. Assuming money wasn’t an object, I’d get the KJ but you’re looking at $1,700 vs $400 for the griddle

      @@BBQandBottles its kind of creepy not seeing your face. You become a disembodied voice… will cause some viewers to wonder if you are perhaps paranoid ....or you maybe don't want to associate your face with your review… Basically hardly anyone will be glad you don't have a head.....lol ...or will watch the video and be glad they're not seeing your face..... So there is not any upside from a channel view point. UA-cam is becoming more and more personality and entertainment value driven. So, maybe get your smiling face on your videos and let your viewers get to know you......:) !

    • @BBQandBottles
      @BBQandBottles  4 роки тому

      I totally hear you. We just rarely show our face on this channel and that’s been fairly consistent since day one. Maybe we’ll change that some day, but there seem to be a fair number of channels that just focus on the food/gear without a person showing up in each on. One of my favourites is You Suck At Cooking. Anyway, I take your point and appreciate the feedback.
