Refining and Surface Designing on the Leatherhard ENCLOSED and LIDDED Slab Box Forms; Pandora's Box

This video is the final greenware step in making the ENCLOSED boxes in my Ceramics I classes, creating a Pandora's Box as the project! Within this video, I explain how I design and refine the form while leatherhard, and finish the surface design getting it ready for firing. We are using both ADDITIVE and SUBTRACTIVE DESIGN on our box forms.

Tar paper is roofing paper ( in the US it is available at home improvement and hardware stores). I use the lighter weight- I think it might be 15 lb as opposed to the 30 lb weight. It is sold in big rolls near roofing materials. * Note* you don’t want to use the fiberglass embedded tar paper as this is problematic in handling.

Yes- I do realize that- but I made the stamp to give a precise size to each and every one- I had a video on it previously, and wanted to utilize it!
