This is exactly what i was looking for. Playing from sheet music and apps is fine, but very rote and unforgiving, but just being able to sit and doodle around was just what i was looking for. Thanks.
Once again: Thank you very much Milo, this is another master class from you in which we learn how wonderful it is to play music on a piano correctly and enjoy it
Great lesson - but one piece of advice from a beginner, please help us more with the fingering - especially on the right hand. I'm sure it comes naturally to you, but having learned normal fingering for scales, this pentatonic version seems very haphazard. Eventually, I copied you, but I had to replay in slo-mo many many times to get the hang of it. Even now it feels wierd. Thanks and keep up the good work.
It's helpful for beginning to express oneself creatively without sheet music. But I was thinking that if we really like a song/composition, then we like to listen to it again at later times. But the music played at this stage doesn't hold enough interest for me to have a desire to want to listen to it again... just sounds like tinkering. Analogy would be instead of singing a song, just start humming random tones. But I realize your video is just a first step and gets a person thinking of playing/improv-ing notes from a scale over chords. So, well done for beginning.
Brilliant...Love it. I have finally found something that makes sense and sounds good.
I am just overwhelmed and can't thank you enough. You are such a great piano teacher

He NAMES EACH keynote or chords by LETTERS 🔤🔠🔤🔠 ! This very helpful with counting! He is a very good teacher with OUT rushing lessons! 🪙
What are you on about. How else is he going to name them ? Lol. A c note is a c note. A c chord is a c chord.
We don't call it anything else

on the right hand are you playing only certain notes ofthe scale (e.g. like only 1,2,3,5,6 pentatonic)?
Very good video
