I have watched a ton of pressure washing videos and every time they re-sand I always wonder if they feel like there's ever not enough sand in the joints, or they're brushing too much out of the joints and then they use a leaf blower to dust off the excess sand. Soooooo...... How, do u know there is enough sand in the joints after doing all of that???
Good video, however I find the kiln dried sand disappears after a couple of rainfalls, shows the gaps again, maybe I need to seal it as you suggested or keep sanding it every few weeks. Cheers
Joel Osg it won’t disappear completely. Sometimes it might be a good idea to spray the area with a light mist. Sealant without a doubt. Turns the sand rock solid if done correctly.
Electronics Central the sealer gives the blocks protection as well, once the sealant dried in it forms like a barrier. Hardens the sand also so prevents water going down and weeds coming up.
I find it therapeutic watching sanding videos but having trouble finding longer videos. Yours is a good one. Your voice is calming also 👍☺️
I'm literally just about to do this tomorrow! thanks
Thank you so much ❤️
Hey what do u pressure wash the drive way with ? What mix ratio
I got my driveway cleaned and sanded but it still looks a bit like a builders yard with excess sand there..can i use a hose to wash it all away?
What sand and brush is this mate? Thanks
Hi sh pressure washing do you know much about sealing?
Hi, what sand do you use?
How many bags of sand would it take for that size drive?
I think it was about 2-3 bags in total
Curious. May I ask a question? What sand or you using and why didn't you use polymeric sand? PLEASE Help. I used Sakrete all multi-purpose.
Hiya do you apply sand before applying a sealant or do you seal the block paving allow to dry then apply the kiln dried sand .
Sand before you seal
Sealant should harden the sand making it water tight
Allow about 72 hours of dry weather before you seal
Could I brush cement in between the gaps instead of sand? That way when I spray it with water it will go hard and seal it.
Wejust picked up dry mortar mix to do it. I hope it works? We're thinking the same way as you!

How many pounds per square foot di you use?
What sealant do we use to seal it after sand goes down ?
Steve spooky kash Richards- shade, I recommend resiblock or smartseal. Both really good quality sealers
Hi there how many bags do I need to resand a 240 square meter please ?
Anderson - it depends mate, if the blocks have bigger gaps between them then you’ll use more
@@shpressurewashing3504 thank you so much 😊
In a year or so time, will it need to be re-sanded again even after sealing it?
Faya00001 pebble depending on which sealant you use, Resiblock for example have a 5 year guarantee. So you shouldn’t have to.
@@shpressurewashing3504 thank you :)
Are you supposed to resand evertime you pressure wash a drive even if a home washer is used
Electronics Central hi, yeh the purpose of the sand is to help keep the blocks stable, you don’t want to risk movement in the blocks.
@@shpressurewashing3504 thanks for your reply and then sealer after? Is the purpose of a sealer to give it the shiny look?
Electronics Central the sealer gives the blocks protection as well, once the sealant dried in it forms like a barrier. Hardens the sand also so prevents water going down and weeds coming up.
@@shpressurewashing3504 nice are there any brands you guys recommend?
Electronics Central personally I like resiblock, however smartseal are also good a good bit cheaper too
what if the floor is wet from rain?
Then either don’t sand and wait for a dry day for the blocks to dry or spend a long time brushing wet sand into the joints
