The wt balance is the first thing I noticed. That balance really lends itself to agility especially when standing on the pegs. Here are my standout features, balance, ease of maintenance (easy to change oil, and air filter), fantastic motor, lack of electronics to break, comfort.
I have a good friend who has an Africa Twin. He tried to do the trans-America trail a couple of years ago. The friend he rode with had a spill and they weren’t able to stay on the trail as long as they had hoped. If I was going to do much adventure riding, this Tenere 700 is the one I would look at. It just seems so much more capable off-road than all of the bigger adventure bikes. Day trips, rather than coast to coast adventures seem more in line with what I’m able to do at this time.
That’s why I have DR650, not a lot of bells and whistles but affordable and I can do day adventures on it easily. I’m not into long distance adv riding at the moment but I see the appeal! If money want a concern this is probably the bike I would want. I picked up my DR used for under 4k
mike, i could trade my 2019 street glide even up for pan america special, including a free hd riding suit, helmet, and boots in the deal.but i think i'll miss my street glide to much. at 10 grand for the tenere, i think i'll keep the street glide, and have the best of both worlds. what do you think ?
Nice video thank you for the review. I love the looks and capabilities listed for this bike, however I feel like Yamaha should’ve added cruise control to this model. After all this bike is used for long distance riding on and off road. Any idea if this is something coming in the future?
It's been three years since lunch... a lot of countries don't have this bike yet... What a shame that some of us can't even see this damn bike on the streets.
I'm debating getting rid of the DR and buying a Tenere. Tough choices. Either get a Tenere or get a Softail or street Bob. Can only afford to do one...... what do u think?
I have not road the tenere but looks pretty sweet, Street Bob only got new paint so unless you love the Paint I would probably look at the Tenere. The Heritage did get some upgrades, you may want to wait till end of the month till everything is announced.
Not sure if you watched the whole video but only the rally version has LED turns which is not available in the US yet. That is mentioned under the Rally Version section. Thanks for watching
Dashboard doesn't give estimated milage, it says 2 partials milage you traveled, estimated consumption, real time consumption, but NOT estimated milage left...
If they wouls make one woth a bigger fuel tank... Not the world raid, that one is to wide and tal. Cheaper than the Honda but at least on the Honda I can 0ut my feet down.
I see plenty of these channels. Talking about motorcycles and I doubt they've even ridden the bike. Spouting specs from the website and a few reviews and claim to be a reviewer?
What do you like most about the Tenere 700?

awesome video
Excellent video! Thank you for all the great info! New sub!
Thanks for the sub!
Very good review Mike! Ready for serious off-roading! And that Rally version…🔥
Yeah the power on this thing is crazy compared to my Dr but so is the Price...
I LOL'd at the rider searching the Voynich manuscript for his travels.
Thanx for the specs. I'm excited to get a Tenere soon.

I have a 16 SGS and a 06 DR650, best of both worlds :)

I haven’t heard anything, sorry!
Tank too small, Center of gravity too high, hard to pick up, suspension too soft. Reliable as they come, great engine.
u got 1?
C’mon Yamaha…add a tad more range, get the CG lower and I’m in!
Great video that exhaust looks like the style on the Pan America.

I have not seen one in person yet either but I don’t have a Yamaha dealer close to me either.

Get the Tenere!
Keep the DR and your money 💷 💷
@@andrewkitchenuk I think your right 👍 love my DR
Beautiful bike
Would be pretty nice bike to hit the Aussie Outback on.
I've seen two at my local dealership and they have the same cheep turn signals that they put on the wr250r they are not led as shown in this video

@@NewBikeMikeChannel I watched it all
Very nice
Thanks!

Interesting because Yamaha claims it shows Estimated Fuel Range on the product page for the Tenere 700.
@@NewBikeMikeChannel estumated fuel range on notches, but not in numbers, i thought you meant on numbers...sorry
@@Martin-ni8yr I probably should have been more clear, thanks for watching and commenting...
@@Martin-ni8yr no apology needed, thanks for watching
Cost a good bit more here in Japan…. What a world
They are hard to find here in the US
Cost a bit more in South Africa too. 😃Waiting for a decent used model

Why do all reviews show professional riders
Well I don’t call this a review. And probably cause nobody can get their hands on one to ride…
BECAUSE AVERAGE RIDERS HAVE A DIFFICULT TIME RIDING A 205 KILO BIKE ON THE DIRT. THEY FALL OFF TOO OFTEN.
@@vittoriocostantini4137 well average riders need to know about falling!!! Watch pro riders give them the wrong impression of these bikes
Long travel suspension 😂😂😂😂

I never used the word review, thanks for watching!
Dont buy this crap. I own one. Bad enginered, and fake, good looking on paper, bad suspension.
