Hey bro Can i get a pin??🥲
228k is pretty impressive for a vehicle like this.
No it isnt
A lot of Land Rovers product reach this miles, yes they have bad reputation by people, but actually they still running strong with the right owner.
I was expecting a lot less miles tbh
Did they call them the discovery because their owners had to discover a way to repair the transmission every time they left the house?
average land rover experience
This car used to be the perfect everyday off-roader ❤
very spacious even to this day
The actual huge drawback was its competition was a Toyota Land Cruiser
tough to beat
A land rover will get you anywhere but a land cruiser will get you home again. Ive been involved in a fair few landies and they have charm but they're such crude, agricultural vehicles. Even the most flash range rover will always be a dog of a tractor at heart
Need to LS swap that thing!🤣 Sad to see it was a victim of theft, looks super clean. I’m sure someone really liked that thing. Good video!
Fun fact these were sold as honda crossroads
The 1980s era Toyota Landcruiser is still made to this day. It looks a lot like this. It’s still popular in places like the Middle East. They really should allow any older model to be grandfathered. There are a lot of people who don’t want rolling computers, which is what many new cars are!
Off road prowess… as in, hood up, overheated and broken down on the side of the road. Lol.
Someone needs to start buying them and swaping toyota powertrain and drivetrain into them. You see so many nice examples in scrapyard that could combine those killer looks w bulletproof Toyota parts.
that or an LS swap would be mint
Discoverys were among the early soft roaders. The last true Land Rovers were the 90 & 110 wheel base Defender
Speaking of the disco
Why does the new 1 look like a loaf of bread
baguette
Funny that you call them early model Land Rovers when they were introduced closer to the current date than to the start of Land Rover production. 1948 to 1989 is 41 years, while 1989 to 2024 is 35 years
I used to work for a guy that had a black one. Awesome guy from 🇮🇶. They are truly impressions off road. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
Gosh, you used to be all over my fyp, so happy i found this, bit of nostalgia
Love these. Had a 96 then an 03 series 2. Had good times in those.
Parts and labor on these older Land Rovers are pretty high. Only worth it for lower mile examples and sentimental value
You know it's a Lans Rover when it looks like it belongs in a scrap yard
Should have called the police on him the second you saw him beside your truck
Question: Did your dad change his head gasket on his rover too?
Bro how many cars did your dad have way back in the day
Man it's sad how theft is getting so common nowadays even my mom's car got stolen too
Well if I need to replace the engine, let's LS swap it. Lol. I'm kinda joking on that, but it might actually be the best engine for that. Not sure. I'm sure there's other parts that need improvement, but I'm thinking pre runner. It's old and not in the best condition, so why not?
The guy next door has one he repainted it in orange
Don't know if it's this model of land rover but I've heard they're very easy to steal
I mean... if you wanna learn an engine swap? Sure
I think it's sad that people can't keep their hands off of what isn't theirs. This Land Rover was obviously loved, and this selfish jackass took it all away, just like that.
As far as Land Rovers go of it's not a Defender o dont recognize it as being a Land Rover. Period.
real question, why rusted tool in land rover's floor?
I would buy it and put a Toyota engine in it. Become my daily
Never buy a Land Rover*
Fixed it for you. 😊
they where scrap
Save
There transmission is poo
Just a 4 speed automatic. They are actually pretty reliable if you service them properly. The beauty of older Landys.. while they do break, they are very easily repaired.
