5:56 Watching from a computer screen the falls didn't really seem that big but seeing that tiny fisher blew my mind. That is one massive waterfall, and certainly a beautiful one too!
I have visited most of these following other videos you have done before, but because of the combined beauty and the hike itself my top 3 favorites are: 1- Mcarthur-burney Falls 2- Rainbow Falls 3- Mcway Falls
thank you for your videos. I watch nearly all of the them when I can. The music is happy and relaxing and the cinematography is excellent and I always learn something. I so appreciate your content and it makes me happy.
Please convey my thanks to Levi. I am planning a road trip in a few weeks, and hope to see as many waterfalls, rivers, and lakes as I can, especially given the historic amount of precipitation we’ve had. Adding this one to my list, if I can get to it.
Here's another recommendation for your bucket list: Horsetail Falls, from the Twin Bridges trailhead near Tahoe. Spectacular. (But keep any kids/pets on a short leash!) If you are ambitious you can continue past the falls up to Pyramid Peak.
Phantom Falls and Feather Falls are somewhat close to each other (near Oroville) are really beautiful. Phantom Falls is spectacular during wild flower season. Such a unique waterfall.
I have been to all the waterfalls in the San Gabriels that you "flashed", however there are a couple that I was 100% unaware of in other parts of the state and I just added those plus a few others that I am keeping on my bucket list. Great video, thank you!
Horsetail Falls next to Silver Lake on the June Lake Loop is stunning in spring especially when viewed from a boat or from the top of the Rush Creek trail. Thanks for the great content Josh.
Great list. I'd have to say Burney is my favorite. Headed there in a couple weeks. There's a cool waterfall in Dunsmuir who's name is escaping me right now that is nice too. And easy to walk to.
Another great list. Thanks. This is perhaps your list that I've least visited. My old man experience tip about waterfalls: always just go. On Yakushima Island in Japan my son and I were driving around the island (clockwise). The map kept showing another turnoff to a waterfall. Sure. Wow. Another one? Nah. But dad, this one is supposed to be... It sure was. I think there were four waterfalls each one different enough and spectacular enough to be worth the effort. So always: just shut-up and go see the waterfall. What I'd like to see are area guides, maybe listed by accessibility: drive and walk a minimal distance, hike a distance, etc... I find that when I'm say at Lava Beds National Monument finding out all the interesting things in the area is a bit disorganized. (You know like when you're on the plane home from Beijing and they show the video and you learn that what just looked like a tourist trap, and which this is the second longish stay in Qianmen you've walked by dozens of times... and only on the plane do you learn that it's over 500 years old and serves the best duck in town. We even looked up duck in the guidebook and ended up across town.) The Shasta area seems to be the least organized like this. (Probably totally subjective.) I got there and had no clue of where to go. I was just looking at my atlas and guessing at which roads would be interesting. Also, in a couple of years when SpaceX's Starlink network goes online, we'll have internet access all the time and everywhere (trees, museums, tunnels excepted).
This channel has been so great while I've been inside with the shelter in place orders. These waterfalls are amazing and I can't wait to get out and see them. Thanks for these videos!
Great list. The most unique falls I think is Moss Brae Falls in northern California, above Redding. I have a feeling you have been there, but didn't put it on your list because of the problem of getting there, and hiking along the railroad tracks.
Burney Falls are beautiful! Just visited a day ago! We loved it, easy hike;) I 😍California you have Redwood forests, Sierras, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, the Pacific coast. Shasta county is like paradise;)
Some more Northern California falls - Crystal Creek Falls north of Redding, easy access .25 mile flat walk from the hiway. Whiskeytown Falls - fairly steep 1.7 mile climb, also north of Redding. King's Creek Falls in Mt Lassen Volcanic Park. Wampama Falls at Hetch Hetchy Resevoir, part of Yosemite National Park but you catch it outside of the park entrance on 120. Faery Falls in the Mt. Shasta area. On the way up to Shasta right off I5 near Dunsmuir, Hedge Creek Falls. Short walk to it, and you can go behind the falls in a little cave like opening. Panorama Trail in Yosemite. We caught a shuttle to Glacier Point, then you walk 8 miles down to the Valley. You cross Illouette, Nevada, and Vernal Falls.
I think Nevada falls and Vernal falls (both Merced river) are my favorite waterfalls in the state. They run year round also. Really love your videos! Thanks
Hooded Hill Hopper I used to hike to the top of Nevada Falls like it was a walk in the park (which it was, literally). Now I’d get winded walking across the parking lot to the start of the trail, lol. I’m grateful for the memories of those beautiful falls.
I hiked the PCT last year, and got to see a lot of these :) Yosemite is absolutely a wonderland, but getting to Burney Falls felt extra magical after hiking the long, dry stretch of the Hat Creek Rim!
I looked on your blog and you have been to Berry creek falls one of my favorites because I live close by. It’s way more impressive in the winter or spring. I’m just sad about the fires that went through there, I want to see what happened but it will be closed for about a year
Perhaps you should take a trip up to Castle Crags State Park. Root Creek and Burstarse falls are definitely contenders for the list (when they're flowing at least).
Nice list! I'd be tempted to include Horsetail falls, but only for the Firefall event, and Eagle Falls in Tahoe. FYI, Yosemite Falls is one of the few in the world you can see a moonbow.
Nice list! Penasquitos Creek Waterfall is easy and fun to visit in San Diego.
Beautiful waterfalls. I love it when there's a waterfall at the end of a hike.
Me too, it is a great payoff for the hike!

Watching from a computer screen the falls didn't really seem that big but seeing that tiny fisher blew my mind. That is one massive waterfall, and certainly a beautiful one too!
Going to be my new hobby going hiking !! Time for new scenery
You've really helped guide my day trips since I found your channel
So awesome, glad you enjoy the channel!
OMG...i wanna come here before i die.
BEAUTIFUL
I have visited most of these following other videos you have done before, but because of the combined beauty and the hike itself my top 3 favorites are:
1- Mcarthur-burney Falls

3- Mcway Falls
Great choices!
Thank you so much for your videos .. it has motivated me to go explore more of our beautiful State.
Thanks for sharing this. Just moved in Cali and very excited to travel around here...
Hope you enjoy it!
Beautiful scenery and great shots! I literally got shaky legs though seeing your Yosemite Falls shot on that super-narrow trail! 😂
It is a crazy trail at the end!
I was thinking the same thing! I have to work myself up for heights and narrow ledges. I think this one would be no bueno.
thank you for your videos. I watch nearly all of the them when I can. The music is happy and relaxing and the cinematography is excellent and I always learn something. I so appreciate your content and it makes me happy.
Levi, 6 years old, says his favorite waterfall is at Lake Jenkinson.
He loves your videos!!
Thats so awesome! I haven't been to that one. Tell him thanks for watching the videos!!
@@californiathroughmylens He says you should visit it. Thank you so much for replying! That made his day!
Please convey my thanks to Levi. I am planning a road trip in a few weeks, and hope to see as many waterfalls, rivers, and lakes as I can, especially given the historic amount of precipitation we’ve had. Adding this one to my list, if I can get to it.

All beautiful waterfalls. Yosemite is my fave.
I recommend that you visit Feather Falls near Oroville.
Hoping to finally visit that one this year!
That one is nice, I just wished we could get closer to it.
Agreed! Amazingly beautiful, especially in the springtime when al the flowers are blooming.
Jsm madrid You can walk all the way to the falls on the trail. its long but worth it.
In the spring time, you can watch the ladybugs swarms
Wonderful California waterfalls 👌👌👌
Awesome waterfalls !!
Beautiful scenery ever
Loved this list! Rainbow falls looks amazing and so does the one at Big Sur. So serene.
McWay is so incredible to see as it falls right on the sand!
Hermit falls is awesome! I went cliff diving there it was amazing
good job describing each waterfall
Here's another recommendation for your bucket list: Horsetail Falls, from the Twin Bridges trailhead near Tahoe. Spectacular. (But keep any kids/pets on a short leash!) If you are ambitious you can continue past the falls up to Pyramid Peak.
Thanks for the tips! Will have to check it out!
You always do an awesome job with your videos... Thank you!
Amazing video as always! Dang we live in a beautiful state! 😍
I agree, California is so beautiful!
California is probably the most scenic place on the planet.
Phantom Falls and Feather Falls are somewhat close to each other (near Oroville) are really beautiful. Phantom Falls is spectacular during wild flower season. Such a unique waterfall.
literally just went to all of these this last week all extremely breathtaking!
Love love love Cali
Alamere is my favorite hike. It has it all, Forest, beach, lakes, waterfall....
I have been to all the waterfalls in the San Gabriels that you "flashed", however there are a couple that I was 100% unaware of in other parts of the state and I just added those plus a few others that I am keeping on my bucket list. Great video, thank you!
No problem, I hope you enjoy exploring them and I am glad you have seen so many already!
Thanks, lived in San Diego for over 20 years, but never heard of 3 sisters falls, will definitely give it a try.
Horsetail Falls next to Silver Lake on the June Lake Loop is stunning in spring especially when viewed from a boat or from the top of the Rush Creek trail. Thanks for the great content Josh.

Another beautiful video. Thank you!
My pleasure!
You always have very interesting videos. I always enjoy them all!
Thanks for all your good work.
Awesome video man! Hopefully this showed some people that they might have a awesome waterfall practically in their back yard
I hope so too!
Very thankful water falls information in Yosemite NP and California.. thanks for sharing your video
Thank you so much for this video! Definitely gonna check some of these out
Thanks for sharing. Beautiful video
I wish I know this before I went to San Diego !
You should check out Hidden Falls at Hidden Falls Regional Park of Auburn, California. The Falls are about 30 feet tall. -Levi

I agree that Mossbrea is stunning, but since there is not an official trail to get there I left it off the list.
Surprised you knew about Alamere Falls! It’s always overlooked 🙌🏼😊 I hike it all the time since its close by. Great video 🙌🏼
I was just at Tokopah falls this weekend. It was hot and not too much water on the falls but was still beautiful
Beautiful place to visit and enjoy. Love to visit all of this one day!
You should visit California in the future for sure, it is a pretty amazing state!
Mossbrae Falls is also one of my favorite water falls in California
Fantastic video. Enjoyed watching. Thank you.
Burney Falls and McCloud Falls are epic
Burney Falls are beautiful! Just visited a day ago! We loved it, easy hike;) I 😍California you have Redwood forests, Sierras, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, the Pacific coast. Shasta county is like paradise;)

It is a beautiful waterfall for sure!
Your channel is truly exceptional. Thanks!

I bet the PCT was amazing, that is such a great accomplishment!
Great Video, I'd have to say my favorite is Mossbrae Falls in Dunsmuir.
Horsetail falls in Lake Tahoe is a great one as well.
I looked on your blog and you have been to Berry creek falls one of my favorites because I live close by. It’s way more impressive in the winter or spring. I’m just sad about the fires that went through there, I want to see what happened but it will be closed for about a year

Nice Video. I need to get out for California exploration more often.
Beautiful.... thank you :-)
I love Burney Falls. Easy hike from car
I like all scenery
I would also recommend Mossbrae Falls near Shasta area! It’s very different than other waterfalls.
Awesome list! We are CA waterfall deprived. We've only been to MCloud - one on that list. But can't count the Oregon ones we have seen. GREAT JOB!
Oregon is an amazing state for waterfalls too!
You have to check out Feather falls if you haven’t been. It’s so beautiful
Thank you friend... i love ur videos 👏👏👏
Glad you like them!
Any recommendations for resources for hikes with accessible paths for people with limited mobility? Appreciated the tip about McWay Falls!
McWay is the best. Glad to know there are waterfall fans.
If u get to the Big Island my faveis Akaka falls.
The Big Island alsohas a Rainbow falls 🌈
Beautiful, great video
Perhaps you should take a trip up to Castle Crags State Park. Root Creek and Burstarse falls are definitely contenders for the list (when they're flowing at least).
Thank you!!!
Horsetail Falls on Pyramid Creek just above the old site of Twin Bridges (US 50) is pretty spectacular when PG&E is letting water out of Lake Aloha
Thanks for the tip, I will have to check it out!
Nice list! I'd be tempted to include Horsetail falls, but only for the Firefall event, and Eagle Falls in Tahoe. FYI, Yosemite Falls is one of the few in the world you can see a moonbow.
Those are both great choices as well!
🙌🏼👍💯excelent jod whit your videos !!!
