these people think we live in the same time s the germans lived in when the madman came to power, they think the people now are gonna put another madman in power like they did in the 1930s in germany, lmao the truth is these people are delusional, there are no natzees, only communists, communists everywhere
One of the truisms I was handed by a mentor: when someone tells you they are always the victim, they CANNOT see how they have been victimizing others and their lives are unhappy, filled with bad decisions and the wrecks of relationships.
Yep. The most annoying thing is they can’t fathom the idea that they can just let go of all that shit. They just have to be strong, it’s their individual test in life.
"If you meet an asshole in the morning, you had a bad day. If you meet assholes all day, YOU are the asshole." Been reframed and resaid from a dozen sources.
George Carlin is the one who first pointed out the concept by talking about political correctness, which is what started all of this. “Political correctness is fascism pretending to be manners.”

@@silasbeacom2930 I'll share a bit of mine, namely my parents raising us without love care and attention but with neglect fear and hate. Despite how messed up we are as a result, they pretend everything is normal, telling their friends and extended family that we're all "doing good." I'm not a perfect little angel, far from it naturally as I could only know what I see, but technically still a victim. Now give me my brownie points!
You're missing a big point: most SJWs aren't playing the "victim" card, they're playing a "there must be a victim somewhere and I'm gonna cry in his name" card. I think ultimately it's socialization through bullying of outsiders/outcasts.
I support that massage. I set up a twitter account once. Deleted it 30 minutes later. What an unbearable bubble of crying children and adults. Pure insanity.

Social Justice Warrior: someone who doesn't understand how society works, hates the concept of justice, and thinks being mocked online gives them PTSD.
_TIV intensifies_ 😂 Someone on Facebook once sent me a message saying, "Take off your shoelaces, and kill yourself." I sent him a video of me pretending to choke myself to death with my bare hands, with the caption: "I used my hands; hope that's okay." I shared a screenshot of the whole thing on Facebook, making fun of the whole situation, so there was absolutely no TIV involved whatsoever, and guess what, Facebook decided to ban me for 24 hours. 😂 Apparently, thick-skinned people are bad for business in social networks' eyes. They thrive on this TIV BS. I bet if I had written something like, "I just received a death threat, and I've vomited 3 times already. #StopCyberBullying" Facebook would've verified my profile as a reward. 😂 What a joke! I'm glad I stopped using FB, and Twitter. Surprisingly, I've become so productive ever since. 😌
Wild. Psychology is so interesting. I was an SJW until I happened to come across this channel a few years back. I think you might have been one of a few that de-radicalized me. I couldn't deny the logic of your arguments and I eventually came around. Crazy how things change over time. That and everything that the Democrats did last year re: covid and riots really really put me off. That victim mindset is real as hell, but when you're immersed in it and it's reinforced by both the online and college environment around you, you don't even realize it isn't normal.
You see, College tends to have a shift to the left in certain places (particularly ones where people from diverse communities can get in). This is depending on the political belief a conspiratorial plot to produce Communism, being around diverse people making people see them as less of an other, or most right-wing beliefs (by American standards) fall apart really quickly with any amount of scrutiny (mostly due to a reliance on emotions and outrage towards an “other”). Do note although people like SJWs exist by the nature of chance alone, it should be noted the term is mostly a way of disregarding any progressive/leftist views as an uninformed “other” that doesn’t care about the cause and just wants the credit (which you may notice, has nothing to do with their argument being wrong, but it gives you a negative veiw of the individual spouting it. I recommend actually looking to any opposition to your beliefs and trying to rationalise them by their stated opinions and reasonings when given as opposed to stereotypes. Also, about the American Standard thing. The US’ (and those of UK, Canada, ect.) two parties are virtually similar ideology-wise. Voting Republican really only changes the amount of programs made to oppress other groups. Voting Democrat means they might be pressured into allowing you to Marry a few years in (which to me, sounds like people who don’t care about any causes and just want to be seen as “the good guys”.
Those who voted Trump. There are already proposals to investigate this people and deny them certain services. Logic is, Trump is an enemy of our country, therefore, those who voted him are allies.
Streamers: Use "blind playthrough tag" Blind people: "I see no problem with this" SJWs: "WTF, YOU CAN'T DO THAT!" And yes, that blind joke was intended
I saw a pack of SJW 's and other Hacktivist, absolutely lose their shit over a McDonald's special called a "Bloody Sunday".(it was like a Halloween treat) The SJW's said it was being used to hurt Irish people. And it took Irish people talking about how much we didn't give a shit. But the damage was done, so many SJW crazies went after McDonald's they actually took it off the menu. So even if it was good you'll never get to try it.
I honestly think social media has done just as much harm as good. The consequences of the general removal of social barriers and standards is seriously damaging.
depends on the particular social media, discord, 4chan and tumblr especially have promoted artistry, discussion and humor far beyond any quantifiable measure while sites like twitter especially tend to be horribly shitty platforms, altho neither are black and white
The main problem is you only exist in an online space, with no real world interaction, and because of that there's pretty much no consequences for your actions. You can pretty much get away with virtual murder all day long and no one can do shit about it, so as a result this has seriously gone to some people's heads where they will do or say things they normally wouldn't, simply because they're untouchable, or at least believe they're untouchable.
They came up with it first. They were so clueless that they actually thought they were "stunning and brave." It was picked up by their opponents to mock them, but they are the ones responsible.

@@fraudcakes Nah man, i actually had conversations with many so claimed ,,SJW's" and i concluded that their line of thought and behavior doesn't have any agreeable logic behind it, yet they are given power simply because of their masses (a.k.a. people who have huge problems with insecurity and thus pretending to be victims of the big, bad nazis who don't agree with their opinions). Calling you an NPC was a simple joke from my part which meant to illustrate what i just said. Honestly said , modern ,,SJW's" are a product of the luxury that our relatively safe world in 21 century gives us , in times of real disasters and hardships they will disappear faster than the speed of light, simply because their ideology is not sustainable in a world without wimps and social medias to fuel their ego
I'm really grateful that I never developed these tendencies. These people structure their personalities on a culture that disappears during any times of actual duress. Imagine these people trying to live during extended natural disasters, or power outages, or god forbid a major global war that interferes with internet-base communications. These people are truly a product of excessive modern luxury.
it takes some self awareness as well as a stomach for facing the unknown. it's so trendy and seductive especially when you're young to be part a hip group, and exile may equate to death for some. just remember how the early Christians were treated: they were fed to lions if they were caught worshipping. a ban from twitter suddenly doesn't seem all that bad in comparison
Re: that Jennifer chick... is someone is tweeting that much and that coherently about throwing up twice and crying, she isn't doing ANY of that. Tell us another one, it's got bells on.
Funny thing is, she's likely not really lying. As in, she is not deliberately misinforming people; to her and people like her, words are a form of expression. They make magnificent artists and writers, but they are terrible at information exchange (which is why there is so little of them in STEM; not for lack of dedication). When you talk to someone like that, even in person, you must always remember to mentally add "At the moment, I feel like" to the beginning of their declarative statements. It is impossible to have them to tell you what they are up to, even if they want to, because they are only vaguely aware of it themselves and will flip-flop at the drop of a hat. Essentially, they are not mentally capable of reasoned discussion and it is not possible to have them operate on anything but emotion, unless in a life-or-death situation (and even then, not always). Having said that, I must, however, point out that even those people can change over time. Their lack of capability for reason is not inherent, so they can be taught it (or, more like, trained into it). It's just hard. Very hard. You'd need a degree in psychiatry to even begin with a reliable approach.

@@nunyabizz3357 Yes, I'm aware of that. Problem is, you have to rigidly control those people or they will be a menace to themselves, to say nothing of others (and it shows). @@Hisu0 control is required only as an inverse to patience. it's not something that goes away over a weekend of conversation. treating it like that you'll either force the result you wish through control or more likely just give it up as a lost cause. but it's a thought pattern that can require years to deprogram yourself out of. trust is fundamental because ideas and issues need to be discussed without triggering a defensive reflex. no one in the history of earth ever changed their mind while feeling attacked. that means you kinda have to strike a balance between unwavering in principal and charitable in approach. like i said it's basically deprogramming. i've actually had an acquaintance that used to be in a cult and her relationship with her BF had a similar effect and it took a similar timescale to click.
When you upload a video, you can select category "Gaming" and then select a game from a dropdown list which shows up as a feature like Civ 6 has in this case. UEG's may have done that himself. Every politician stoking racial division and victimhood pandering should be thrown out of office and never elected again. Sadly it doesn't look like this will happen any time soon
Honestly as someone who deals with allot of suicidal ideation and tendencies it makes me slightly disgusted that people just say it when their day didn't go as planned. Like I have written so many notes to my family and tried quite a few times... its not something so light hearted you can just say anytime you feel slightly worse than normal. If anyone actually feels that they want to do it, they will almost never tell anyone at all. The majourity choose to suffer in silence and then one day they're just gone. No one who actually considers it would post it on Facebook, Twitter, etc. All they are doing is attention seeking. It's like the people in high school who put red pen streaks on their arms as 'cuts' for attention. While the people who really did cut (myself included but not anymore usually) are made fun of and bullied. Edit: and to be clear I do not want your sympathy. In fact I dont give a care what any of you think. I just wanted to put my opinion here to be shared... maybe some of you can understand and hopefully no one knows how it feels.
Last thing a girl i dated put online was "i wish i was dead" i had the asshole view you did... i never spoke to her again. Sure 9/10 when people say this they are chatting shit but on history i had to change my view because of the 1/10 when people are being serious.
Victimhood became lucrative, both monetarily and emotionally. Then it started to spread. It got out of control. Suddenly some people who had never seen themselves as victims and were living life just fine wanted in on the attention. It's honestly disgusting and I have nothing but contempt for people who try to make themselves out to be victims of this or that, taking attention away from actual victims or people who need actual help. Vying for victimhood is reprehensible behavior and will do far more harm than good. I'd heard about the woman who was "literally ill" because the falsely accused could prove they were falsely accused. Imagine feeling such a need to be a "victim" with a group of other "victims" so desperately that you become sick at the fact that someone's not going to potentially go to jail under false charges.
Narcissism. Social media. A lack of a threat against humanity to cause us to band together. Luxury. We want to spend our free time on us. Everyone’s different, so everyone’s free time looks different. Nothing broke. We just don’t have a bogeyman. So we create one.
@@dijasom it's human nature to band against a common threat. This is why nations used to declare war on others. To quell dissidents and make their own subjects band together I'm not surprised there isn't no war yet
@@CBRN-115 I'm sorry, I disagree, it is not War we need, it is proper education. Folks do not grasp, that they are making bad arguments, and then using completely useless arguments, to gain credence over another, to "Win" that argument. we have folks constantly using Fallacies, in arguments in this day and age, not to mention completely misunderstanding simple words. Yet, we are all able to interact rapidly, due to the internet. Social Media, and Clout, are a major issue, with why folks are lacking an education in this day and age. As you don't need 2 B gr8 at wurdz, to go viral. Though sadly, that's just the tip of the iceberg, as we also have issues, such as meth, and opiate addiction reaching record highs. We would need a lot of Change to fix all of the issues. Any war, that would be capable, of "quelling the dissidents" would be a world ender.
I disagree. Whatever broke, it wasn't recently. I've noticed the seeds being sown on Tumblr. Back in 2011 when I joined that site, it was pretty acceptable with the only drama being fandom related, no victimhood bullshit. Meanwhile, LiveJournal had an exodus sometime around that year or 2012, and Tumblr started having militant feminism being preached around, then it was race stuff, and then once infiltrated in fandoms they started attacking the media itself. this thing dates back almost a decade for social media at least.
If you want some reading material explaining the origins of this mindset, I'd recommend Cynical Theories by James Lindsay and Helen Pluckrose. Along with Peter Boghossian, they're the team that published a bunch of fake papers in feminist academic journals.
quaker187 That's on my to read list. I really like The Coddling of the American Mind. It does a good job of explaining changes in parenting trends like helicopter parenting and the impact of social media on Gen Z. It seems like the more online we are, the more isolated we actually feel.
I think I saw James Lindsay interviewed on the JRE and hearing about the one paper that they faked which was up for an award just had me crying laughing.
assuming we still have grocery stores and they haven't been converted into breadlines. Now you can just go in, take whatever you want, and walk out without paying, and if anyone tries to stop you claim "poverty" as it is now a legal defense.

I find myself conflicted between a deep sadness for these people contrasted with a disdain knowing how often this type of mentality is used in a predatory and malicious manner with the explicit intent of harming others (revenge)
Bullying in disguise. The same concept employed by children when they feel they are not on equal footing with their peer(s). Crying and/or lying to parents or peers who are unaware of your intentions or experiences so as to garner their affection, regardless of what form that affection manifests into.
>_>... Anyone else remember when the third 'TIV' group was simply called attention whores? Typically described as pains in the ass that always need attention and praise in order to function. Often ignored and looked down on as being shallow and pathetic. Now those same people are 'adults' on the internet. They got to meet others like them so it evolved. And now its 2021 and the true victim, that I think everyone can agree on, is common sense.
The ironic thing about all of this, is that in their drive to be the victim, they instead turn others into the real victims. I knew someone that I had considered a friend. One day she wanted me to apologize. I thought her wanting one was reasonable at the time, in fact I was ready to apologize already. Yet when I did apologize, she dismissed it as insincere on the grounds that I made the apology after it was requested first. Now, I have a severe phobia of resentment. Being on the Autism Spectrum I have a strong desire to be accepted by others despite my flaws. So for someone to behave in a resentful manner is enough to make me suffer a panic attack. That being said, I did in fact start having a panic attack, which drove me to challenge her argument in a desperate need to be forgiven. This escalated even further when her brother used my own panic attack against me as grounds to 'cancel' me from the server. I felt invalidated and exiled, driving me to leave the server myself. My hands had never shaken more violently in my entirely life than they did at that moment, to the point where I could barely even type. I've been haunted by this incident for the past two years, and even my own therapist believes I have PTSD, as I nearly severed ties with friends I knew I could trust, simply out of an overwhelming feeling of guilt, and any instance where I apologize to anyone over anything brings me back to that moment. And as for what I needed to apologize to this person for in the first place? Because I had a bout of depression right after she beat me at a video game. That's right, I had a natural human reaction to failing my own expectations I set for myself. That's literally all I did. All this because I happened to inadvertently cross someone that I didn't know had TIV until it was too late.

It's totally bizarre that it's a pejorative. A true Social Justice Warrior was MLK. A man who died to bring justice to society. Twitter SJWs are simply self righteous trolls who happen to get public support from people who don't really know what they're actually saying.

It took me a long time to understand sjws, but upon interacting with them multiple times. I figured out that they want their opinions to be understood by others. But they don't seek to understand their opposition, the world but especially america has lost there ability to have a dialogue without taking things personally. You can't debate anything without being called phobias and isms, and this is partially due to social media's ability to pile up on dissenting opinions. Critical thinking is now in the gutter. So yeah, i have the opinion that our future is bleak if younger generations refused to grow up
I get what you are saying but the generalised and simpler fiction the younger generations kind of make it sound contradictory like I know it’s can be hard to sum things up but it made thick yeah yeah I totally agree ....what hold on?
Really, you can't debate anything at all. It's not just that they want to be understood, their incapability of even humoring a different opinion, plus their such adverse reactions indicate that it's not just understanding; they literally cannot handle anyone even remotely challenging their views, and virulently want to force people to agree with them because of that.
Less that they want people to understand them, more that they demand people agree with and share their opinions. They call us isms and phobias to discredit arguments and to convince themselves we only think otherwise because we're evil n problematic. Ex: I say I don't like the sequel trilogy because Xyz, they tell me I must not like it because I'm sexist.
@@marcusdegroot7578 sorry I dont have comment notifs on. But yes, I admit it did not sound fair to generalize. But know the median age of sjws, the ones who shout the loudest are the preteens whose ego are high with false moral superiority coursing through their veins. They tend to be the very creatures they hate, despite bashing religions, other political values, or prioritizing gatcha moments. They never did investigate what they're criticizing, that there are answers to the concepts if you if you look for it and not confirm your biases. But that's the thing, they claim to want equality but their solution to obnoxious intolerant behaviors is more obnoxious intolerant behaviors, and so it's a full cycle of hate. and that's when it hit me when i noticed it, *they were never solving a problem - they want submission* And the people who are mostly susceptible to this is actually people under twenties because of the youtube videos they watch, or social media post or reddit upvotes, especially if you're knowledgeable about the subject and you know that their conclusions are wrong and there are answers to there accusations -if they look for it. But the guy who has a true rational response doesn't get enough of votes compared to the guy who screams their agenda or i dare say activism. they can't tell if their opinions are disguised as rational thought. Honestly that's the scary part, you know rebellion is a thing of the youth when they grow up they will easily be taken advantage of by stronger wills and cunning minds.

People can have any opinion they want in my book. I just find it seriously annoying when it becomes this thing where you absolutely have to pick sides. You can't like certain things on both sides no. You're either in Team Red or Team Blue, and you absolutely have to hate everything and everyone on the other team. It's a kindergarden mindset that only leads to more hate, and I make sure to never associate with people who show this mindset. I'm not 13 and i'm no longer in high school. I will not be told who to hate and what to dislike by any group of hateful individuals. Left or Right.
As a blind person, I find it more offensive that a person with vision is offended on my behalf. Full disclosure, I have NEVER ONCE been offended by the word "Blind"
Excellent video, really well done indeed UE. The idea of "victimhood" as it's own, distinct personality trait that society effectively "purged" is genuinely fascinating. I absolutely ascertain at least *some* reasons they seek victimhood (perhaps because they had a predisposition to the trait) all comes down to how certain aspects of society changed from the very late 90s to the mid 2010s (in the UK anyway): Kids were given prizes for last place so they didn't get their feelings hurt; Child-centric learning was attempted in a bungled way; Teachers lost alot of their power to control their charges while parents became more defensive of their kids' wayward actions; the "compensation culture" began, so everything was always someone else's fault; Health and Safety became wildly oppressive; kids began being coddled, fussed-over, told they were so special, and treated like precious little darlings and not allowed to fall, fail and pick THEMSELVES up again. So, we raised a generation and a half of people under the age of about 32 who (for a certain socio-economic section of society anyway), got what they wanted all the time without ever having to experience loss, going without, or personally-constructed emotional growth at a time when "stewarding" the young started to become "pandering" the young by a society that was growing more entItled. These young people are then thrust into the world, TOTALLY unprepared for the realities of independent existence in a society where everyone is an individual with their own thoughts, outlook, ideology, philosophy and motivations. Then came along the instant gratification of "internet likes", which by their very nature meant that you needed to shoehorn yourself into groups of people who thought just like you in order to get the "rush" of a post/comment being "liked", rather than ignored or downvoted (and as social creatures, the idea of peer acceptance is a strong draw). This then creates the echo chambers which simply acts as the confirmation bias these people need to "know they are right". If you put all this together, what you've got are sections of society who were never challenged, were handed everything, instantly gratified or backed-up (even when they were wrong), and believe the entire world thinks like them because of their own "cliqueing" to certain circles (almost as a remedy to "Peer isolation" mentioned at 7:05). These emotionally-immature, infantilised young people, cannot handle the fact that the world isn't the utopia they believed (or were led to believe) it was, that other people think differently from them, that they're absolutely NO MORE SPECIAL than anyone else on the planet, and that their opinions and views are no more valid than anyone else's (regardless of what their hubristic, moral superiority may tell them). They cannot handle this. So they do the only thing they know how that works- they throw a tantrum, cry, claim some form of "hurt" has been caused and make wild demands to get their own way, this time however, backed up by threats to either themselves or others. That "desire for revenge" you mention is the spiteful, spoiled child that actually runs the show inside the heads of these people, but their revenge is anything but childlike. They're destroying the lives of innocent people simply because they don't think precisely the same way as themselves, often using emotional manipulation. The very IDEA of a reasoned, Socratic-style conversation is off the cards, because they know any reasoned dissection of the facts will blow away their emotion-based demands for recognition of their falsely-concocted anguish (over literally anything- the goalposts change now so frequently), and their fallacious "motte-and-bailey" arguments. All they can do is scream demands for obedience and conformity, and shout-down any legitimate argument against their stance. Like an enraged, pitch-forked, Salem mob, blind to reason and filled with fervour, swinging their swords at imaginary dragons. They need to be treated the same as people with Narcissistic Personality Disorder: you ignore them for 95% of the time. Unfortunately, given that the Establishment is well on-board with this nonsense, that doesn't seem possible. Welcome to the Age of Entitlement, people, where tantrums, tears and threats are the new rule of law.
I have always viewed this as a power play. If you can get someone to concede to you, you have made them submit and have power of a sort over them with their guilt. Doesn't work on me and presumably others since I feel no guilt for something I never did.
Said it before and I'll say it again, if over 35% of your time is spent on anger then you are a terrible person to be around. And if you have had to look around to find something to be mad about, then you are just anger with a body rather than a human.
People that need others to witness/acknowledge their suffering are just pathetic. Suffer in silence, but spent energy on finding a solution instead of showering in your own misery for attention. It's disgusting and the opposite of helpful.
I dunno.... to me sharing in and acknowledging suffering is the strongest bond that people can share. You really cant understand someone if you dont see their pain. Thats a whole side of a person youre not seeing. I also think its okay totalk about stuff. Thats not pathetic lol. No good comes from hiding emotions. I like stoicism, but I dont think its ever been about hiding emotions and suffering things quietly. I know thats the popular conception but its more about finding solace in the process of undergoing different emotions and channeling them in a way that is beneficial and makes you stronger. Swallowing crap you can't deal with makes you weaker. No man is an island and sometimes taking responsibility means asking for help. And I like to hope that when people choose to do that, they wont be roped in with needy SJWs and treated like their problems arent important. But yeah, when you put it out there expecting strangers to drop everything, thats just childish.
I love how these people use ellie, valentine, alloy, and lara croft as examples to show men as misogynists. CONTROL was one of the best games I played last year and the main protagonist is a girl, gets immense power in the first 15 mins of the game, women are almost in all positions of power and intelligence, men mostly cause chaos, and makes the protagonist relatable by showing her under confidence and clumsiness all without a hint of politics. And yet, we hate tlou2 because ellie is a lesbian. Cool.
Easier said than done, when social media algorithms are designed for attention seekers. Sure in real life it's easy to ignore whining hypocrite narcissists, but social media changed the game in a huge way.
@@kyoken8691 Uh whut? It is incredibly easy on the internet, you can scroll past, not respond, tab out, or just switch the screen off. @@lonely_dolphin8923 The thing about these attention seekers on social media is that the attention they get is actually statistically very low compared to the population, but the fact that they are able to get any kind of attention at all is the problem. It's kinda like how 1% could either be 1 out of 100, or 10 million out of 1billion. Once you scale up, the absolute numbers become something you can't ignore. 10 million is statistically only 1% of 1 billion but that's already a population larger than new york city. She sits allday in her room watching hasanabi (far-left streamer) She thinks all the republicans are bad and thinks communismcan save America. She hates the patriarchy. She wants to tear down the system. She was spewing out all those SJW ideologies on the internet you can see. Then I realized that she had no purpose or goals in life. She herself said that she does not care about herself, yet she wants to save others. I am so glad i left her. It was eating me up everyday having to listen to her rant about social issues.
No, It's not. Kids need to be told that they're special, it's important for the development of their self esteem (the words adults say to kids shapes them like clay). The problem is telling kids that they're *more* special than the other kids, especially for things beyond their control (like their sex, race, whatever). Tell them that they're special, and have potential, but that anything worth having takes effort, and that everyone should have an equal shot at a good life. Participation trophies do suck though lol.
I appreciate that not only did you do a great job at providing a logical explanation behind the mindset, but also a solution to it. Thank you so much! This means a lot to me as an ex-SJW!
This is crazy. I didn't even know these people were so common. Then, with the birth of social media, they became more and more visible. Seems like they were here all along and are now parading out from the sewers, not even trying to hide anymore.
I think a lot of people are like this, but before the advent of social media you grew out of it. There was a heavy cost to behaving that way and it wasn't worth it. Now, like UEG said, there's little to no cost and in fact a benefit. Why would you ever grow out of it?
SJW has become pejorative, but it was not made by their critics. It was a label they used for themselves, it became pejorative because it identified a group that deserved nothing less. Welcome to 2014, don't take the hate personally.

Being an older person, I can say we all knew these people at school, in the schoolyard. They were always the victim, either at school or they overshared their home life and how awful their parents were in some way. As you pointed out when they were called out for such statements and could not prove them, so they were isolated and they either changed their behavior or remained isolated. We see sometimes in social media this punishment levied against TIV types of individuals but it isn't complete enough (for lack of a better way of describing it) to force the person to change their behavior.

I've been struggling with the idea of having a digital presence for a while now because of this need people have to feel outraged nowadays. I'm an artist and my 3rd wave feminist sin is that I like to draw women. I've wanted to live of my art for the longest time, since it would be that long lost mentality of making a little bit of side cash with something that makes you happy. However, I always think about how daunting the internet situation is atm. I don't have a twitter, I haven't logged into Facebook for some years now, and, quite honestly, I don't feel much motivated to make an YT channel or have an active Instagram or Deviant Art account because, on the internet, absolutely everything that you do will be taken into a spiral of distortion and transformed in some stupidity or another. It's a dreadful thing interacting online with people like this around. It would be a terrible feeling for me if anybody posted a piece that I've made and said that it made them puke and scream because of how the portrayal of the girl is sexualized and all that. These people have me scared for my sanity, enough so that actually putting my art out there is a herculean effort. That's the reason I do it under an alias, that's why none of my friends know I do it. Not that I'm any sort of famous, but the environment in the art community isn't any different from the cesspool that is twitter, where the members like to bash you into the shape they want you to be. These people are everywhere. Maybe I am victimizing myself too at this point? I don't really know. What I do know is that this is some added pressure that makes it harder for me to put myself out there, because I know that a good chunk of the criticism I get is going to be unfair and used by other people to propel themselves in whatever the hell they want.
I think the real lesson we can learn here is 1) don't feed the trolls 2) listen to minority groups who are actually being affected and see what they think is right and their perspectives, not angry people with dyed hair on the internet who feel the need to be righteous. 3) make sensible arguments with other people and listen to what they have to say before you feel the need to attack someone.

Man, it almost sounds like you are letting SJWs off the hook. Just because they are mentally ill, doesn’t mean that their acts aren’t intentionally malicious. It’s all well and good to understand the underlying pathology of their disturbed minds, but they certainly don’t deserve anything but the harshest of rebukes (which you rightly point out is ignoring them completely). The ideologically based policies propagated by SJWs certainly must be harshly, aggressively and decisively combated in the government, schools, media, private businesses etc., but individually, SJWs should be completely ignored.
"Man, it almost sounds like you are letting SJWs off the hook. Just because they are mentally ill, doesn’t mean that their acts aren’t intentionally malicious." This is woefully understated
THAT was great. Probably the first time I've ever came across a video that is presenting ideas that are actually a part of the solution to all of this...moving in the right direction. Every other video on this subject, from my perspective, is unknowingly NOT a part of the solution and moving in the wrong direction...not that I blame them...their responses are completely natural and valid...but that's how all of this works.
Interesting piece. Surprised you decided to tackle a paper like that in a UA-cam video essay. Not exactly your usual, but entertaining nonetheless. Much respect. I wonder how much time it will take for the authors to be attacked and discredited, and for whatever academic institutions they are affiliated with to disavow the paper and disown them.... Oh wait, they are in Israel? May not go down that way then!
Probably why they ended up publishing it in the first place. Then again, Israel is apparently the devil for "invading Palestine." Palestine= Roman-named region, including parts of Syria, Jordan, Egypt, and all of both Israel and Lebanon. How'd you know I'm a Christian? ;)
Its weird because youtube hasn't banned this video yet. I think this its refreshing that there is an analysis about this since it seems like more and more the world is just normalizing this kind of mentality and behavior.
So basically annoying, weak minded people used to be isolated and ostracized until they changed and became either more likable or at least less pathetic but now that social media exists we don’t have a choice but to deal with them constantly. Makes sense. Being in the military I’ve seen these types of people, they shamed until they become better, those that don’t, well life ain’t the best for them
I found this an interesting piece, I am what many would consider a Social Justice Warrior but have never felt much like a victim. Anything that has happened to me has been the result of my personal choice and I have to live with the consequences. I am lucky in that, my background has granted me a certain amount of privelige and I choose to use that to try and improve the lot of people who have less privelige than I. Politically I am an Anarcho-Communalist (close to an Anarcho-Communist but not quite) and I see so much in society that needs changing not to benefit me, but to benefit others. What I have noticed is that amongst those who criticise "SJW's" is that they often share a desire to maintain things just as they are at present (and yes I am fully aware I am generalising here), or even as they were in the past. When a legal or societal system benefits one group over another it must be changed lest the seeds of violence are sown, when a group of people are disparaged because of their skin colour, their sexual orientation or identity, the nation in which they live or for any other reason surely the right thing to do is fight against this discrimination. We are better people if we look at another persons experiences and try and learn from it, or even try and find aspects of that person that we share. Finally I agree with you that there are many who give the whole SJW moniker a bad name (the game designer you quoted certainly appeared to fall into that category, however I would say that I am unaware of her background so her reaction could be a visceral response to a past trauma) I would also suggest you would all be welcome to come and talk with us, talk in an atmosphere of trying to understand our motivations, our beliefs not adversity. Oddly enough those of us who call ourselves progressives are not interested (usually) in destroying those who disagree with us, we want to try and persuade you to join our cause, the cause of equality and justice for all. Be safe everyone and thank you for reading this far.
So, what is your answer to the increasing discrimination and hostility to those who fit into the categories' of 'White' 'Male' 'Christian' 'Heterosexual' and 'CiS'? Because it seems to me folks you side with have been doing nothing but changing who will be the target of discrimination and ramping that discrimination up dramatically. Where as previously such discrimination (then targeted at other targets) was falling away over time. I also feel it worth pointing out many of those who " share a desire to maintain things just as they are at present (and yes I am fully aware I am generalising here), or even as they were in the past. " may not be wrong. I consider the 1990's to be the closest America has come to eliminating discrimination, and based on that feel a shift back towards that before finding a path forward which isn't 'discriminate against a new set of targets instead' is a wiser direction for civilization then the current one.
There is a quote, its origin unknown that says " When you are used to privelige equality feels like oppression". I have seen little evidence that suggests any of the groups you mention are suffering from anything other than a percieved bias. 1) White: I suppose that positive discrimination could be seen as a form of negative discrimination against the "white" population but it depends upon ones definition of white, for instance until the ~1920s both Irish and Italians were not seen as white. I would however suggest that instead of viewing this as a discrimination against white people specifically there has been a concentrated effort to discriminate against working class people and in certain geographical areas the working class is predominantly white. 2)Males: I would offer a similar analysis to the above , males are not oppressed as a result of their sex (which is very different from gender btw) but as a result of policies designed to fragment and disunite the working class. The capitalist leaders of governments around the world understand that is in their interest to weaken and fracture the working class, so they are blaming "the other" rather than the politicians and business leaders who enact these policies. 3)Christian: Certainly in the US there is no real discrimination against Christianity, the new President is a practicing Catholic and I would estimate 70% of Representatives and Senators ascribe to christian values. However there could be an arguement that there is discrimination against the more objectionable forms of christianity which seem overly powerful in US society. I'm a pagan by the way and so have no horse in that particular race. 4)Heterosexual: Is there really discrimination against the Het population? I don't believe so, just offering gay and trans rights to those who wish for equality or safety from violence is hardly discriminatory against "the norm". Stopping someone from being discriminatory is not discrimination, it is asking people to treat others with respect and common decency. 5)CIS: Cis is in the same category as 4) so I won't repeat myself (and yes I am aware that is a gross oversimplification but theres a lot of text and I haven't written my conclusion yet) In conlusion I would generall refute, with the above caveats, the arguement that the groups mentioned are particularly discriminated against. There is however a concentrated campaign by certain sections of the media, a sort of find-the-lady trick, to distract people from the truth that our political class and big business is determined to seperate and divide us. If the working class (especially) is indulging in an internecine war with itself we are not concentrating on the real problems of wage stagnation, wage inequality, housing and social inequality. Thanks for reading this and be safe.

Very hard.

I'm legally blind, so every playthrough I make is a blind playthrough.
holy shit, twitch is now oppressing you?!! how can you accurately tag your streams? ITS BULLSHIT

They tend to be the very creatures they hate, despite bashing religions, other political values, or prioritizing gatcha moments.
They never did investigate what they're criticizing, that there are answers to the concepts if you if you look for it and not confirm your biases.
But that's the thing, they claim to want equality but their solution to obnoxious intolerant behaviors is more obnoxious intolerant behaviors, and so it's a full cycle of hate. and that's when it hit me when i noticed it, *they were never solving a problem - they want submission*
And the people who are mostly susceptible to this is actually people under twenties because of the youtube videos they watch, or social media post or reddit upvotes, especially if you're knowledgeable about the subject and you know that their conclusions are wrong and there are answers to there accusations -if they look for it.

@@lonely_dolphin8923 The thing about these attention seekers on social media is that the attention they get is actually statistically very low compared to the population, but the fact that they are able to get any kind of attention at all is the problem.

I think the real lesson we can learn here is
1) don't feed the trolls
2) listen to minority groups who are actually being affected and see what they think is right and their perspectives, not angry people with dyed hair on the internet who feel the need to be righteous.
3) make sensible arguments with other people and listen to what they have to say before you feel the need to attack someone.
hey happy new year from japan. your voice makes me calm and usual. precious little thing in current time.
Before this video even starts, you've got my sub. I've been enjoying your content for a few days now but to see you come out here and speak of those we do not speak of, that's some kind of dedication and moral strength not many creators have.
This was actually incredibly educational, nice. It’s making me consider studying psychology more.
Just because they are mentally ill, doesn’t mean that their acts aren’t intentionally malicious."
This is woefully understated
All slaves tell themselves their master isn't so bad. Mentally coping for the future
in the modern age, who ISN'T having mental health issues?
lol, I love how this is listed in Civilization VI.
Brilliant! I minored in psychology in college because I find the study of behavior fascinating. I appreciate your take on this.
"HEAR YE HEAR YE! HEAR MY WOE! ALAS I AM PAINED AND HURT BY FEELINGS"
these people on Twitter
Interesting piece. Surprised you decided to tackle a paper like that in a UA-cam video essay. Not exactly your usual, but entertaining nonetheless. Much respect. I wonder how much time it will take for the authors to be attacked and discredited, and for whatever academic institutions they are affiliated with to disavow the paper and disown them.... Oh wait, they are in Israel? May not go down that way then!
Probably why they ended up publishing it in the first place.
Then again, Israel is apparently the devil for "invading Palestine."
Palestine= Roman-named region, including parts of Syria, Jordan, Egypt, and all of both Israel and Lebanon.
How'd you know I'm a Christian? ;)

It is an awful conflict and Israel was put there artificially. However I think the majority of them doesn't want it.
@@ThePandafriend Very true. That topic's a minefield!
My apologies for bringing it up.
Our society has created, and nurtured a new pathology over the past 20 years.
Its weird because youtube hasn't banned this video yet. I think this its refreshing that there is an analysis about this since it seems like more and more the world is just normalizing this kind of mentality and behavior.
I clicked this video just because I like the channel but WOW now I am genuinely interested in this topic... Thanks for bringing it up
This is the content we like to see. Had to finish watching the video first tho.
So basically annoying, weak minded people used to be isolated and ostracized until they changed and became either more likable or at least less pathetic but now that social media exists we don’t have a choice but to deal with them constantly. Makes sense. Being in the military I’ve seen these types of people, they shamed until they become better, those that don’t, well life ain’t the best for them
This is legitimately fascinating
No jour In A Me
I found this an interesting piece, I am what many would consider a Social Justice Warrior but have never felt much like a victim.
5)CIS: Cis is in the same category as 4) so I won't repeat myself (and yes I am aware that is a gross oversimplification but theres a lot of text and I haven't written my conclusion yet)
In conlusion I would generall refute, with the above caveats, the arguement that the groups mentioned are particularly discriminated against.

That's not a thing.
"I consider the 1990's to be the closest America has come to eliminating discrimination"
The 1994 Clinton Crime Bill did so much damage to people of color to the point where justice reform today is still haltered by this bill's awful standards.

Companies shouldn't get into politics such as:
BLM
Israel/Palestine
Brexit
Anything, companies shouldn't get into politics at all whether it be supporting/ condemning or anything else
Companies should leave politics alone completely.
Progressivism is the notion that if you want something to be true hard enough, it somehow, magically, becomes true.
And the "magic" they use to make it so is called "cancel culture".
