The fact that this man brought the Rams and Cardinals, two teams buried in mediocrity, to the Super Bowl, speaks volumes about his perseverance and leadership. His story before all this makes it even more remarkable.
He should have been higher then 90
I wish he would have beat the Patriots, I'm from Pittsburgh and at the time I liked the Cardinals because I didn't think Kurt Warner was done and because Larry Fitzgerald went to (pitt) and went to the Cardinals the same year warner joined and before the season began I thought they really could be a great team and I thought it was possible for them to make it to the Superbowl, not only were they due but I thought Fitzgerald could be one of the NFL's best wr's and I wasn't even convinced that Mark Bulger who won the starting position in st.louis was the better QB.
@@MrBlack-wt5er I still believe the Rams were robbed in that game.
Repent for your sins and have faith in Jesus and you shall have eternal life in paradise for eternity 🎉😊😊

“We will rally around Kurt Warner, and we will play good football”
Not an ounce of doubt was in those words.
best nfl story of all time
@ReturnoftheBrotha Warner started at the age of 27 I think he could've won at least 3 more super bowls
@ReturnoftheBrotha stop sucking him off I don't recall Brady being a grocery store bagger and becoming one of the best of all time
@ReturnoftheBrotha first of all he's not the goat second his story still doesn't compare to Warner he wasn't even looked at as NFL material and Brady at least made it to be selected into the NFL as a pick
@ReturnoftheBrotha no people who don't want to count Brady as the goat are people who care nothing about super bowls when discussing the best player at a position why do people only count super bowl wins for best QB anyways but no one ever counts that when it comes to any other position so no I'm not counting him as the goat I don't even say Montana is the goat the best QB ever is between Manning and Marino super bowls mean nothing and it's hypocritical to count them
Brady went to a division 1 power house in Michigan. Brady was a 6th round draft pick, back when they had 17 rounds that would have been considered an early round pick. Warner probably doesn't get drafted if there were 30 rounds. Warner is the better underdog story. Not Brady because he underperformed at Michigan.
One of my favorite QB's and player
He actually wasn't a "grocery bagger". He stocked shelves on the night crew. They always get it wrong.
That's what I thought
At a Hy-Vee too. I also worked nights at Hy-Vee, and still work there in produce. I am the next Kurt Warner.
Jonathan Dean ha ha he said he would tell his co-workers he would get back into the NFL and they would all laugh at him. He said he would throw passes to them with those single Scott toilet rolls!
David Duarte Noice!!!
That explains his toughness...yall ever work night or overnight crew...builds some character
Now a Hall of famer congrats Warner
it's sad to see people discredit him over stuff he couldn't control. It's not like it's his fault that his defenses didn't stop Tom Brady and Ben Rothleisburger from doing their Game winning drives with 2 minutes or less left in the game. I mean come on! If they make 2 stops for the fella, he wins 3 super-bowls
He has thrown for the 1st , 2nd, and 3rd most yards and the highest passer rating in Superbowl History, that's why He's in the Hall of Fame.
@@paysonfox88 the real problem is people think QBs play by themselves it's called a team sport
I thought he was slighted a bit by not being a 1st round hall of famer. But he's in and that's what counts. He has the hearts of every NFL fan too. Just a class act and so amazing to watch.
I love this guy. Not only was he great at what he did but he was very humble.
Yeah he's unique. He also married a woman who already had a few kids, most men don't have that kind of courage
So easy to root for.
The greatest grocery bagger in NFL history
Lmao
W
From grocery bagger to having more rings than the eagles...
^^^^lol
TheDCGuitar13 mcnabb was way better and might not get in Warner had 3 good years his only super bowl win came with a hof RB, and 2 hof caliber receivers
To this day, this one of the greatest sports stories of all time, no one even knew who kurt warner was, he comes in on his first season and takes his team to the superbowl and wins, not many people can do what he did.
Kurt Warner led two different teams to the Super Bowl is an awesome accomplishment. Really hope he won one with the Cardinals vs the Steelers. He should be in the NFL Hall of Fame.
kurt is in the HOF
That’s why it is the “Hall of Fame”. Best first act and third act of all time. Three super bowl appearances and three for over 1000 yards. Amazing. Thank you, Mr. Warner.
I have Complete utter respect for this legend, I actually get chills from watching the part when they talk about him in Arizona because it just brings back so much childhood memories the guy went through so much from packing groceries to leading the league in passing TDs becoming the leagues MVP and SB MVP, then stumbling a bit with the rams falling to the pats in SB 36 and then leaving the rams to the giants through FA and then not being able to find his place with the giants, to fighting for a starting role with the cardinals, spreading wings and then leading them to their first ever SB too bad it had to be against my Steelers though oh well because that SB was freaking awesome!
If Santonio Holmes doesn't have that corner-of-the-end-zone TD catch and the Cardinals win their first Super Bowl title that year with Warner under center, bet he jumps at least 50 spots on this list. Goddamn shame that the Steelers had that comeback, both for Warner and for Larry Fitzgerald, among others.
I still refuse to believe Holmes' feet were down. No way. Cardinals were robbed.
@@ComputerJunkie00 sorry bro they were down
@@Kmurd2003 You know I was pretty sure they were too until I saw a still photo a photographer took both feet were together but one higher than the other and his one toe/foot never touched the ground. But there's no way in hell that could be seen in the replays and certainly in real time by the refs. Disappointing for Kurt but it's not like it doesn't happen.
@@Kmurd2003 that wasn't a catch
To this day I always feel like they won.
Just his story alone should put him in the hall of fame
Warner was in training camp for Green Bay in 1994. The other QB's were Brett Favre, Mark Brunell, and Ty Detmer. That would have been tough for any outsider to get a spot.
Paul Johnson brunell is criminally underrated yes
Kurt Warner actually worked at my local grocery store. I used to see him at night. Such a nice man
This never really occurred to me Kurt Warner is like the Rocky of Football
Has one of the best stories in sports history. And 4 pro bowls, 2 mvps, super bowl and super bowl mvp? Pretty great resume.
I definitely remember Kurt Warner as a kid. At the time, he was pretty much the face of the St. Louis Rams. A very cool quarterback.
My goodness could that man throw bombs like no other. What a joy he was to watch. That arm though. Awesome story, beautiful.
Thee greatest story of all time! Mad respect for this guy
He should be top 50.. What an inspiring player to watch.. The greatest show on turf.
NewWaveFan1 he is in a group of 3 QBs that I think can all be considered the GOAT along with Sid Luckman and Dan Marino
TheAnimationLads dude I hope your joking 😂😂😂
Extraordinarily moving story about a great quarterback and wonderful human being. God bless.
man what if trent green never got injured, who knew how amazing kurt warner would have been and same with the bledsoe to brady thing as well
BossManiacGames it would have just delayed
He was once in a Green Bay training camp with Favre, Detmer, and Brunell. Talk about a roster.
trent is such a great talent. there is no reason, with the talent available, that the '99 season would have ended any differently. i'm a st. louis native and one of kurt's biggest fans. i'm just saying it was a TEAM effort that won the championship.
@@sixmax11 Yes it was but Trent Green never amounted to much. He went on to KC and was mediocre.
Back in the 1990's there was an Arena League team called the Milwaukee Mustangs. When Kurt Warner would come to town with the Iowa Barnstormers, they would kill the Mustangs, every single time. I don't think he ever missed a pass. He really was that damn accurate.
It is not hard to miss a pass on a small field
@@EthanBradburyVlogs You haven't watched that brand of football up close, have you? You have no choice. You have to throw on almost every down. Scores of 45-35 are not uncommon. I suppose you have been in a professional uniform and have done it yourself. Yeah, I haven't either. That's why I don't criticize something I haven't done.
Paul Johnson Playing Indoor Football taught him to have a quick release.
And he wasn't even *drafted.* Yet several of the quarterbacks who *were* drafted that year turned out to be total busts. Shows what NFL recruiters know.
Kurt Warner was signed as free agent out of college by Green Bay in 1994; he was cut losing out at the number three quarterback to Ty Detmer, behind Bret Favre and Mark Brunell. Warner would have been a bust if he was drafted in the first round.
in my opinion the the greatest QB to ever step on a football field with the rams his two injury free seasons ended in MVPS SUPERBOWLS SUPERBIWL MVPS DEFINITELY THE ACCURATE PASSER IVE EVER SCENE
Kurt has a special place in my heart. The very first NFL game I ever watched was the Super Bowl against the Titans. At 10 years old I was so captivated by Warners’ presence on the field. Calm under pressure personified. I didn’t know it then he was a part of the greatest offense of all time “The greatest show on turf”. A team ppl tend to forget how dominant they were. When I got older I moved to Arizona and watched him lead the cardinals to a sb again. I’m a die hard Dallas fan but let me tell you everyone in AZ was a cardinals fan that day. Best superbowl of all time. The only time I felt the losing team actually won. He was so close. Kurt is the only QB in history that legitimately could of been 3-0 in super bowls and mvp in all of em. They all came down to the wire. He was that good. Definite hall of famer.
Give it about another 5-7 years n I bet u Kurt Warner's life story will be a movie...I guarantee it!
After all these years, I'm still waiting Kurt Warner-based Hollywood movie. I knew Fox bought the script, but how long has it been in development hell?
Who could play this HOF QB?????
@@dwightlove3704 Zachary Levi. It’s in production now, I can’t wait!
You got it know!!!!
I saw a pre-showing of it earlier this month in St. Louis. It's fantastic
wow from working at a grocery store to winning a superbowl, man that is insane. Kurt was surely a great qb he took 2 bad teams at the time to superbowls the cards and the rams
oh lord. I don't know if I'd call the greatest show on turf a bad team. they had a TON of talent
Sam Watts
yeah they did have a talent, what i actually mean is the rams and cardinals were teams with long histories of losing and he got them to the superbowl
He had to do that to pay the bills. Arena Football players at that time got a few hundred dollars a game and a small bonus if they won. It wasn't enough. Many of them had other jobs-managers at Subway, running gas stations etc.
@@samwatts1069 i'd agree, but the '98 rams were 4--12. they were one loss away from being the worse team of the '90s
kurt was one of the hardest working players ever. he was in the packers training camp behind aaron rodgers. played 2 seasons in amsterdam in the european league. played for the barnstormers in the arena league. he paid his dues.
I'm still wondering why Dick Vermeil isn't in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Charles Gorman he will be. Not yet, but by 2025.
It’s only a matter of time
Don Coryell should be in there too. If not for Super Bowl rings, then for his influence on the game that's still felt today.
I got good news for you, champ.
I hated this guy for every playoff loss dealt to my Eagles. But looking back now I got nothing but respect and admiration as far as I know he seems to be a class act and a deserving HOFamer
I like kurt warner bag man at the store.
Life was hard for him like myself. The fact that i can relate to him makes me 👍 him
90? I think he should be at least Top 70
I think the same, I also all the injuries he had played a part
+Chris Harris I say top 60 he was the first QB to lead 2 franchises to super bowl appearances and he put Northern Iowa on the map!!!!!!
Maybe if he won another super bowl
Yeah, but he was bagging Groceries for a reason. He didn't play until he was 27 and had a horrible start to his career. People always talk notice to that.
agree
In 1999.
Kurt Warner plays great football 🏈
40 touchdowns
1999/2000 Most Valuable Player
Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl 34 🏟 (Saint Louis Rams 🐏 23 Tennessee Titans 16)
90????? wtf
Kurt was the best passing QB ever.... throwing bombs was his thing... crazy ass ranking
it's because he was injury prone.
your rite
Made the most of his opportunity and the rest as they say is pro football history.
One of the few NFL players from the modern era I have any respect for. 🏈
Cool
Kurt Warner was a bad ass
The most accurate thrower of the football in the history of the league. In my opinion.
One of the 3 best down field passers ever. Him, Mark Rypien and Terry Bradshaw
One of my alltime favorites
Such an amazing deep ball
Dick's speech on the press conference is priceless
#13 Kurt Warner.
🥰 Great Quarterback.
Wow NFL, Kurt should be much higher along with his old team mate Faulk!!
Kurt Warner is one of my favorite athletes EVER. Calling him an inspiration is an understatement
# 90 I would like to know the QBs that are ahead of Kurt Warner on the list because there aren't to many QB's have ever done what he's done. Not to mention his First two injury free seasons on the Rams combined he threw for over 9,000 yards 70 TD's resulting in two league MVP's - Superbowl MVP - 2 Superbowl apperences - One NFL championship and broke the all time record for passing yards in a Superbowl. And this was all before the rule changes that favored the offense and when QB's took beatings. Then led the Cardinals to the Superbowl and retired with the highest QB completion percentage.
Now it is a Movie!!!!!!
Super classy and a dreamer who didn't give up
Warner put Northern Iowa on the map!!!!!!
Words to Self: NEVER look down on Anyone....Especially Bag Boys! 😂 #NFL
when it comes to pure passing no one was more accurate than Kurt
It’s kinda crazy how Kurt Warner ended up being the franchise QB no one saw coming in Arizona a year after drafting Matt Leinart
Best year of QB I’ve ever seen! Every throw was on the money weather it was a bomb or a feathered short pass, just amazing!
"If the Kurt Warner story was a Hollywood movie, it would fall into the action adventure category..."
Well it's now a movie. I guess we'll have to see if it's an action adventure film...
awesome !! love this guy
Warner is a beast and wish he still plays
Bagging groceries to a NFL Champion, Hall of Fame QB. Ya love to see it.
He should have been higher!!!!
Kurt Warner is one of my top five favorite players of all time personally.
The way he throws the ball it kinda looks like how Archie Manning's throwing motion.
I always thought he was more like Marino.
The way he tosses the ball it looks like he's just playing catching with his kids.
I really wish he won super bowl 43. Also because Fitzgerald deserves a super bowl.
As a Rams fan this reminds me that Mike Martz gave up on Kurt when he had hand issues from injuries. If Martz simply waited for Kurt to heal even if it took a couple years the Rams would have been to at least 1 more SB in my opinion. Kurts hand was healed when he got to Arizona & look what he did.
I love the undrafted players ! A great quaterback. After his college career he played in Arena Football and in NFL Europe.
The John Wolford story is just beginning
I’d take KW on my team any day! Great guy, great player, great story!
It seems like Warner rarely had to go to his 2nd and 3rd read. His accuracy and timing was so good he could always squeeze it in there so no need to look around for someone wide open.
Most underrated quarterback of all time
This was a true underdog
Top 5 QB of all time
TheAnimationLads no
@@juliegalvin77 People like to overrate him because of his story lol
Kurt Warner is great but I can’t help but think Marshall Faulk needs a spot on this list
Bagging groceries to being a SB MVP.
What a story.
Proud to have his last name
He real 👦
Bagging groceries to hall of fame
I respect him for lufe
Warner baby!
Kurt warner is now a movie
FROM BAGGING GROCERIES TO BEING BASICALLY JOE MONTANA!!! THIS MAN TOOK THE CARDINAL TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!
Even though his time with the Giants wasn’t memorable, he was a mentor to Eli Manning, whom eventually became a two-time Super Bowl champion and possible Hall-of-Famer. Kurt’s a champion and mentored a champion. That says a lot to me.
Got to know this legend after watching "American Underdog". He's an inspiration!!
From working at a grocery store to playing in the NFL and making the Hall of Fame. I don't know if that can be topped. Alex Smith's comeback is the only other story that I can think of that comes close to that
G.O.A.T 🐐
To think at the time he retired he was number 1 in everything. You have to respect that. ✌🏽
Kurt Warner was a good quarterback.
Straight outta Northern Iowa!!!!!!!!
2 teams SB = top 40-45 min
He had to bag groceries it really a nice story. He work hard became a great player and now in hall of fame
Now they're making a movie about KW.
Saw him play with the Amsterdam Admirals
Not sure if he should be on this list or if he is a hall of famer but it is one of the best football stories around.
A movie will be made about him called AMERICAN UNDERDOG starring Zachary Levi
Greatest quarterback ever
If he’d started his career earlier and been healthier (not having teams inexplicably give up on him), he’d be a Top 5 QB ever without question. What he did in the times he was healthy and the full-time starter, you can’t beat his resume.
If we’re talking about Top 5 QBs at their peak though, he’s in there for me. The guy was incredible.
every time he started a full 16 game season he took his team to the super bowl. that is unreal
Very Amazing
my all time favorite
A recent question we had at work was "what Hall of Fame QB is least deserving to be in the Hall? I don't think it can be judged on just stats. My first thought was Joe Namath, but Namath was actually _famous_ , famous outside of football. So I start thinking about guys like Warner, Griese, ,maybe Jurgenson. Of course they are all Hall of Fame, so it's not like any of them should feel insulted.
It’s wild Kurt Warner is on here but Big Ben out played him and had one of the best comeback drives and throws in Super Bowl history vs Kurt
Kurt warners story should be a movie
And it'll be released on Christmas Day! Named American Underdog!
I’m a Cowboys fan but the 99 Rams were probably one of my favorite teams of all time
Uhhh, Steve Young was a great QB don't get me wrong but I believe Kurt Warner was slightly better, yeah Young could run n Warner couldn't but I believe Warner was a much better overall passer than Young was... sorry Steve
