Hanks for this, very helpful, the rule book seems to think you’ll have more fun playing double handed, what are your thoughts? Have u played with 2 characters or just pure solo?
I’ve played with another person and pure solo - it’s harder with nobody to cover your weak spots but I try to just control one character when I can, I forget things too much 😀
At 35:02, The subtitles stamps is wrong for this style of play. At this style of play as One player/one hero, the Death King walks 0 spaces + 1 for each fallen city. If The style of play is normal, one player/two heroes, then the stamp is correct.
Love that you’re playing this! Slight rules clarification: Pg 33 of the rule book states: Targeting & Moving - During this phase of each subsequent Game Turn, the Dead King will either select a new target, or move toward his current target (he cannot do both). To determine a target, roll the six-sided die and place the Dead King target token on the resulting City. You made it harder on yourself (which maybe counteracts the slower movement of the King?) two rule goofs make a right, I suppose!
I am not sure I understand what Tom did wrong here. Did the Dead King start moving before he was supposed to? Can you provide a timestamp so I can take a look? Thanks!
Basically the Dead King never picks a city AND moves towards it in the same turn. He EITHER picks a city OR moves towards it. I think I remember seeing you basically having the king doing both in the same turn. Not really a big deal, just wanted to clarify for others who might use this as a rules overview.
40:25 is the point in question. Basically you should have just had him target, then NEXT turn he would move towards it. It’s not a big deal, probably doesn’t impact the game too much.
you have no idea how happy this makes me. i have damn near everything for hexplore it. so much damn fun. :D
Same! I love that game series.
And my pledge don't arrive until August 2024 :(
Hexplore it system or Tainted Grail ? On the fence for both or if one is better than the other?
Fantastic game, great run through, please do more, this is a great sandbox game, so much to do, discover and fight., well done.
Great video! Can't wait for part 2!
Great game. Please continue 🙂
Whoa. Now I need to buy this. Great video.
Thanks! Hope you enjoy the game 🙂
Vol 5 is now on gamefound. You can also purchase the older volumes.
Good luck! Great start, it was so fun watching you play. You made it seem so easy but i know there are a ton of things to keep track of
@24:30 You don't skip a circumstance for landing on a quest. You only skip Circumstance on City, Boss, Shrine, Ruin.
Thanks!

Oh really? It’s nice to be wrong about one less thing during the playthrough 😆

I have everything to date except for the new Kickstarter campaign book.
Why didn't you buy a mount so you could move faster ?
You didn’t actually buy the climbing gear, but you keep marking it off as having got in the encounters
Must have misunderstood, didn’t the spider die?
My spider?
When you crit on Explore you should have taken 4 gold not 2, your true solo so the base is 2, doubled would be 4 which is what the crit is giving you
Do you have a timestamp? I will get a note added in the Klingon subtitles. Thanks!
I think when u took gold back from the robber prince u took back potions instead. No biggie really though
This was already included in the Klingon subtitles @ 48:39. Thanks!
