Perfect video, just got a Cb350k0 and got pretty stumped when it came to removing the dampener, and there was and still is no one with a video on disassembly, but this assembly video was perfect; will knock this out tonight now, cheers

Great video! You did a great job showing everything with different angles and close-ups. Very much appreciated, as usual! :) I plan on doing the head bearings on my '76 400f soon but I am going to use conical bearing sets. May I ask why you chose to use the original bearings? The balls and races look like they have seen better days, despite the cleaning you gave them. Are modern sealed bearings not an option on this bike or did you want to maintain pure OEM? Thanks for all the work you put into producing these! I wear my Keep on Wrenchin' shirt at least once a week to the shop! :)

Interesting. My '70 doesn't have a damper. I wonder if it was an option or aftermarket part?
(Also you typo'd it in the title - dampener is something that makes something wet (damp), this is a damper).

It was only on the 68-69 models. Thanks for the catch on the spelling. Updated.

@@KeepOnWrenching I knew there were a few differences on the first couple of years, but didn't know about this one, so thanks for sharing. No worries.

Nice video. So what’s the process of actually tightening or loosening the steering damper? How do you know if it’s tight enough or loose enough?

It’s just a turn of the knob to your preference. They got rid of that feature in later models.
