Just time your one super charge wisely, as you only get one use of it.

Seems questionable balance-wise at first, but when you look at the ridiculous array of other things the DLC added and examine it from that perspective, it's pretty in line with all of it imo. Things like Ancient meteoric ore GS, backhand blades with blind spot/SS, rakshasa great kat (hyper armor), falx, Greatsword of Damnation (just a better claymore), bone bow & spread x-bow with sleep arrows, etc. they're all absurd. And the old meta setups like halberd/offstoc or off-handaxe, 2H shamshir, 2H clean rot knight sword are still dominant.

Having Royal Knights Resolve on the Patas is mind blowing and does an insane amount on damage lol. It's literally insane at the amount they put out with the correct talis
I did a really fun pvp build using the red bear claws, I used the dash attack talismans and back step talismans for a cool counter attack build, that combined with its super armor and aow i hit some really cool sequences
I knew it was only a matter of days before we got the inevitable dedicated Pata build lol. I’ve got them in my current build, so I can’t wait to try this stuff out!
Absolutely love pata, been using it with mushroom crown, rot exultation, rot strings and 3 offhand spreadbows with rot bolts you can get rot buff fast and annihilate people.

Hey Von I have a crazy build suggestion: A Miquella cosplay, only miquella incantations, some white robe BUT you have to host and use the taunters tongue, choose a place with good pve and you use the consumable that turns the pve into allies (dlc added one that have good range and hit multiple enemies)

I was never a fist or claw user but pata and claws of night rock. One addition, pata is S tier on almost all levels of PvP. I used it on RL40, lighting pata running R1 rules. RL60 to 90, again, just face tank and spam. Personally I found best, RL120 int/str magic pata is the candy. Moveset and range are just too good.
This weapon will likely get nerfed since the RR2 into R2 combo was patched on all "Katar moveset" fists except this one which seems unintentional since it's also the longest and does the most damage. Even with that combo patched and a much needed damage nerf, these would still be the best fists just because of the range they have over other fists. Btw if you do the RR2 into R2 combo and follow that up with a second R2 it consistently rollcatches panic rolls. The other fists used to be able to do this too but their range was lacking so even panic rolls sometimes out distanced the rollcatch. But the Pata doesn't have that issue and will rollcatch very well after that combo.

Seems like an unintended amount of hitstun left in the running R2, sort of how the fire Knight's Greatsword had a true R1 combo before the nerf. Good tip on the second follow-up R2, I didn't really try that at all 🧠 💡

I hate most fist-weapons (vereran's prosthesis, the encribed sworda, & 1 or 2 of the claws are pretty good, but for the most part i hate them) but these are fantastic. I did a poison build w/these & they absolutely *shredded.* They might actually be my new favorite weapon in the game.

Prob swap out spear talisman and lacerating crossed tree for lord of blood's occultation and Millicent's prosthesis. Haven't tested it myself, but it might be similarly strong

Would be an incredibly strong build to just have both equipped and switch as needed. They're both light on the equip load so it's easy to reach high poise with both equipped as wel

@@xFabz777 you lose out on a lot of counter damage, base AR, scaling, and make it unable to apply grease. I don't think it's stronger tbh. Bleed procs are obviously powerful , but I'm 3-4 shotting everyone in this video without even needing a bleed.
