Oh nice I knew it gave a buff when madness happens but I legitimately never even thought about procking it on yourself, definitely something to add to the build!
Aside from the Frenzyflame and Firespark bottles being used against slimes, perfume bottles weren't good to begin with. One of the ashes for them is what made them "good" and that's only because FromSoft didn't test the ash like how a player tests things. Something like that ash that spawns multiple hitboxes should've been tested to see if the hitboxes could be grouped, and if so should have a tick limit.
A wee damage buff for the perfumes would not hurt definitely then, keep the ash of war fixed tho cause your right that was a mistake being like that at launch haha
I've been rocking a Light-roll meta using Bottles, the hand, and the flame seal. Makes it real easy to keep a gap where the bottles can theoretically shine
The main advatage of all perfumes is the lingering wall of it hot box and wide archs that people very often can walk into and if spaces properly you can combo it by hit with multiple parts of it to punish aggressive players who try to get too close. With luck and proper spacing its a great punisher that prevents people from walking in your face and keeps foes at a distance.
@@CondimentsIV jeez I made so many spelling errors. Thanks for being cool. :3 I recommend trying the poison perfume next. Perhaps with all the other new poison/rot stuff in the dlc, and poison moth flight and coil shield and every poison item you can use :3 Look like a plague doctor maybe.
@CondimentsIV Yeah, the farm is a bit annoying. The bell bearing helps, but they cost allot at 2000 runes each. But I'll stand by in saying they're probably the best addition to the Frenzy Arsenal. The Talisman and fists are also really nice buffs, but the new stones are hot garbage and the incantation is really only good for self proccing madness. :/
It at least has a niche as the new easiest way to activate black dumpling… but at that point you can just throw on deadly poison perfume bottle and mushroom crown.
Honestly, I only have 2 problems with the new Frenzy stuff. A: They have an INT requirement for some reason. B: We don't have a Chaos Orb headpiece or tool. Besides that, I love the new stuff.
I was literally thinking that when playing with this build, why didn’t they add the frenzy orb as a helmet haha, and yeah the int requirement is odd for me
@@sandrhops7306 I just checked to make sure, and the base spells don't have INT requirements. They might scale with INT though since the Frenzied Flame Seal has INT scaling, albeit barely.
Theoretically and if you have sufficient casting speed you could use the perfume bottle to stun the opponent and immediately grab them with inescapable frenzy for ludicrous damage. Should see if it's possible.
Go for a fully charged heavy attack after you land the madding hand's ash of war, you get a guaranteed fully charged one, and a no-charge follow-up if you're quick enough
Midras flame of frenzy is so disappointing. Wished it just nuked the surrounded area around you like Midra in the boss fight and they gave u a little hyper armor for a big madness build up on yourself. Would’ve been chefs kiss
Its not very good for armor, but you want some really nice frenzied flame fashion (imo), try the bloodied mask (the one that covers your whole face in wrappings), the sanguine noble robes, and the zamor gauntlets. Gives ds2 Lost Sinner vibes
If you wet to get good damage on the perfume bottles, you should run the perfumer’s talisman instead of faith or dex talisman. 20% buff to all perfume based damage, including ashes of war.
Yeah I’m definitely doing that for a future perfumer build but I was wanting to use all the new frenzy stuff on this build so I sacrificed the perfume talisman, probably should have still used it!
Whats the outfit? Ive been trying to do a frenzy outfit for a while and thats pretty good as far as i can see Edit: srry didnt see you showed it at the end 💀
I wish the perfumes were just a little bit faster personally. The damage is okay as is, but it's soooo slow (both start up and end lag) compared to any other weapon class, and I think making it faster would cover the damage issues. Also, I think the main use of Rolling Sparks is to punish someone running at you blindly, literally like a boss or an npc would lol, so it makes sense that it sucks in PvP most of the time.
That is without the perfume talisman as I was trying to get damage from my other weapons and the incantations as well, if I was running only the perfume bottles I’d definitely get that talisman on
Need to buff Midra Incant so badly... If you're gonna make us use sragon communion FP, that better be huge frenzy buildup/damage.... build up on us is fine if they make it worth it.
At the end of the video I show the names of the armour and you can Google to find out where to get them but the chest piece is from farming the horned warrior enemies
You'll have better luck in PvP with Nanaya Torch, Maddening Hand and some pots. Torch triggers madness really quickly and opens up good combo for the hand
I did try the torch for an hour when I was playing and I just couldn’t get hits with it sadly, but yeah I should try it to combo with the maddening hand thanks mate!
@@CondimentsIV a Friend of mine used the throwing daggers in PvP against me and he hit me like a wet noodle. I challenged myself to get through the game using these, and they have such low damage output, no stagger capacity and a little short range while being bad for crow control. Yeah you can definitely make a frenzy build more optimal but I just wanted to use the main dlc frenzy stuff which makes me split my stats a bit, but it’s a fun build at least!

Excellent video :) I saw Rabbit make use of Midra's by letting it proc madness on himself to activate power boosting buffs effected by madness.
Yeah I was so close to wearing the dumpling helmet that gives you that boost in damage but I’m a sucker for the fashion souls haha thank you tho mate!
@@CondimentsIV the madding hand gives you the same buff if you have it in your offhand while you proc it.

Always love a fellow madness player
Thank you mate appreciate that! Madness is definitely a fun one
Nice stuff, great invasions, love the fashion. and after the patch the perfume bottles are not good at all
Thank you mate I appreciate it as always! And yeah the perfume is almost unusable.
@@CondimentsIVyeah it looks great tho, a very fun looking weapon at least
Yeah it’s fun but frustrating when it’s just not great haha
I found them better as an offhand weapon, it surprise a lot of time especially against people who will spam golden parry.
Ahh not a bad way to use it, didn’t think of that way to use them, fair play mate!
They nerfed perfume bottles way too much.
Yeah they need a wee buff cause right now they are good cause they look cool and that’s in

Ah sounds like that would be good, a light roll with the bottles would be nice, have to really think before you use them
It'd be cool if Midra's flame of frenzy just had proximity madness buildup on it in addition to the sparks.
Yeah that’s the sort of thing the incantation needs to be viable cause it’s not great haha
Very cool!

Try adding Hefty Frenzy Pots to the build. They're a great new tool for us madness users.

Clicked for the fashion, it’s fucking mint 👌
Thank you mate that’s the main part of my builds now haha love a bit of fashion souls!
The new Midra incantation is just Unendurable Frenzy but worse. It eats FP faster and madnesses the user faster. What a disappointment.
Yeah have to agree it’s really a underwhelming spell sadly!
