Jason, I've just purchased a Mirro Craft 18' Outfitter boat that has no motor. The old motor was a 90 tiller. I would like to know what your take is on tiller vs side steer. 99% of my fishing will be on Rainy Lake, some on The Missouri Reservoirs and some on Lake Nipigon.
I like running a tiller myself. I like to back troll, like the room and like the boat control. I grew up fishing with a tiller and have always liked running a tiller. A windshield is nice in November or when it is really windy and you have to run long distances. Windshield might also be easier to sell.
Leech is a big lake that you have to respect. You could definitely fish some of the bays on the nice days. Make sure however to check out many of the small lakes in the area, lots of great fishing for small boats.
I have livescope and it's hasn't really helped me catch more fish. I'm sure once I get it figured out it will. It's a skill you have to learn. It's not shooting fish in a barrel like most think
Nice trip!! Thanks for taking us along, Jason!!!
Two of my favorite walleye characters. Good luck to Dusty at the NWT Red Wing event
Dusty is a great dude!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Too bad I didn’t LIV in beautiful MN, SD or ND. Walleye are just so. I hope fun to catch. Thanks
Thanks for watching 👊
